Hi
This is a thread for people due in October with past miscarriage issues, so we don't scare the 'regular' October people and we don't annoy the RM thread with our pregnancy talk...

Ugh. Told my boss today. Didn't intend to but he asked me why I needed to go early on Tuesday (for scan) so told him. Now oddly scared this will bring me doom. No reason it should but doesn't stop my brain thinking that way.

Naughty bugs - fish slaps for you! But good it have you the reassurance you were looking for til scan tomorrow. Will be thinking of you. Can I ask where you did you ivf? Got friends at argc at mo.

Snap on the eating - I are a whole garlic bread to myself
Last night. And today all about the cheese again. Fish makes me want to vom but any pasta is good with me!

Hold on to that tit bugs you will need it for feeding your baby!
I know - I've sworn him to secrecy as don't want rest of company to know - more because if I mc again then everyone will know and might be awkward round me. Him and HR know about my miscarriages so hopefully understand why so petrified. I think in his head he starts stressing about maternity leave and not having me around rather than I hope this one works out for her... Hmm

Whether I mc or not I'm leaving by sept whatever...

Good luck for your scan bugs. Least you can just get up, get to the hospital and get it done. My symptoms came and went and have been gone for over 3 weeks now except being sick last night after I had the scan!!!!!!! It was a bit late for baby to reassure me then :)

picklebum2011 · 27/02/2014 21:04

Just got a bfp, three mmc and a did. Scared, can I hop on for a little while... (Hopefully a long time).

picklebum2011 · 27/02/2014 21:04

Fedup that's my kind of logic too - 'jinxing' things. My HR PA hugged me when she heard my 10 week went well. Not subtle, but nice to know they care.

Bugs Good luck tomorrow!

Pickle Hi! :)

I have been sick three times today. THREE TIMES. My own fault: trying to eat to schedule/eating things that weren't bland or green veg. But c'mon, I'd had a good day yesterday and thought it was easing off. Secretly find it very reassuring after stupid pad looked too pink until I scrutinised it under the light in the disabled loo, was cream/yellow phew

picklebum2011 · 27/02/2014 21:23

one day at a time definitely. We saw a specialist who supported us in not booking in with midwife. Going to try and not do anything till beg of April, gulp. wishing everyone long and boring boring boring pregnancies.

Tumtimes1 · 27/02/2014 21:51

The whole work thing is a worry for me too. I am currently signed off Owing to multiple migraines with aura and with my RM history the docs think its best to rest. I am due back at work next Wednesday, but today I went to back to the doctor to be assessed. And because my migraines haven't hugely improved she feels strongly that I should be off till I reach 14 weeks as that is when I am under NHS rm consultant till. I now have to break this news to my boss tomorrow. Not looking forward to it but of course believe that the doctor is right here. My role is very stressful and a long commute so would love to get to 14 weeks in a stress free environment. Anyone else been in this sign off situation?

Tumtimes1 · 27/02/2014 22:45

bugs best of luck tomorrow I will be thinking of you!

squizita · 28/02/2014 07:52

tum Glad the docs are advising rest. I feel like death, unfortunately St Mary's aren't into bed rest except for cervical problems. :( Off to work!

TaytoCrisp · 28/02/2014 08:23

Good luck with your scan bugs.

Welcome pickle. Congrats and fingers crossed now.

Tum sounds like you are still having a dreadful time with migraines. I expect that your boss should really understand, even if he/she finds it inconvenient - but it their job to work around things like this.

Squiz your heparin/clexane tips are very good! I find it ok mostly, but incredibly painful sometimes. Prodding gently with a needle first to check sensitivity as you suggest has improved things a lot for me recently, and i haven't been really sore since trying that. Strangely i only have a few small bruises, maybe because i have quiet a tyre in the abdominal area - though am pretty normal size 12 otherwise.

Yay, bugs excellent news! One milestone to be ticked off, hope you'll be able to relax (even if only for a little while...).

I'm still trying to decide if I should get the Harmony test done... Hmm DH is back tomorrow, and I have send him the link to the website, so that he can do some reading to get up to speed Grin

fedupofrainydays · 28/02/2014 11:19

Yay bugs that's fab news!!! Whoop!!!

Hopefully Will help you relax just that little bit.

Feeling really sick today and the only thing that seems to help is eating. Half way through a loaf of soft white farmhouse loaf and worried I'm going to polish of the lot. Got my doctor appointment in 30 mins to finally register this preg. Feel nervous for some reason.
