Hi
This is a thread for people due in October with past miscarriage issues, so we don't scare the 'regular' October people and we don't annoy the RM thread with our pregnancy talk...

Glad to hear that Ldt - must be a weight off your mind.

I had dreadful bowels/cramps last night. Basically I was STARVING after puking up lunch, went out with work and gorged a massive burger and milkshake (in a diner not MDs! Grin ) ... all night I was cramped up (clearly gastric, my tum not used to big meals) and I dreamed so vividly of vomiting up vanilla milkshake I woke in a panic thinking I'd puked in my sleep. Thankfully not.

Back to feeling moderately queasy (a blessing: know the hormones are there but OK) but generally OK.
Have to supervise a school disco today (as you may have guessed from my frequent 'checking mumsnet on my phone' my job involves a lot of supervising/wandering to head of bad behaviour, I'm not "bad teacher" texting in lesson LOL). On a wet afternoon in Feb.
Teen sweat + Lynx + trainers + closed windows + sweat + radiators = THE WORLDS MOST VOMIT INDUCING SMELL. This may be "interesting" with MS hahaha. Grin

tanny So sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time. Is there anyone who you can talk to at all? A good friend? Your DH? It can be so lonely...

ltd Good news that it has all settled down for you, fingers crossed that your pregnancy will be uneventful from now on.

I wish I could say the same about me. After the brown cm settled down yesterday, and I was getting a bit more positive, there was red blood this morning Sad Not much, and I only noticed it because I had to put the progesterone pessary in, but it was definitely there. This can't be happening again, please....

ldt87 · 14/02/2014 09:47

I've got everything crossed for you jbird, hopefully it's just things getting settled, how far are you?

My stomach is still so tender, like my bowels are just on the verge of spasm constantly and my back is killing, I just wish it would settle down completely as it's hard to relax with aches and pains going on xx

mum2kiss · 14/02/2014 09:53

More spotting for me yesterday evening...whats going on with us?!

I had mild cramping for most of the day yesterday too...the spotting always seems to be in the evening...not sure if that means anything in particular...

TinyTear · 14/02/2014 09:57

I can only relate anecdata as for me bleeding/spotting always meant miscarriage but I do know of a few people who had spotting and even proper bleeding and went on to have healthy babies - in a couple of cases they were losing one twin and the other one survived

Just went to see my sister and she was 'so are you pregnant' with first 5 mins. Apparently it's be issue I hadn't bombarded her with doom and gloom that I had my period this month!! I don't want everyone to know really as I'm not thinking that far ahead. Just carrying til if I get to that 12 week and all ok.

Sorry ltd your tummy is still being dodgy. I know it's so hard to relax when in pain. As it's a constant reminder / worry.

jbrd I would def to to EPU if it's still going on Monday. You are far enough to see what's there.. And you have had bleeding on and off for a while so they will see you.

My neighbour (and friend) had her baby last night... Of round this afternoon. I hope I hold it together...

JBrd · 14/02/2014 13:43

Thank you all. It seems to have settled down again, no more fresh blood since the bit this morning, and only very little off-colour discharge (I'm checking my panty-liners like a loon, all I need is a microscope Confused). I'm hoping and praying that it was a one-off, but from my experience I know that everything is still in the open... I've just had this too many times.
I think I'll give them gym tonight a miss... I wouldn't be able to enjoy it.

And then I'm supposed to go to a friend's babyshower on Sunday - which I am not a fan off anyway (the babyshowers, not my friend), and other friends are just assuming that I'm happy to contribute to the present - WTF?! I will happily buy my friend a present when the baby has arrived, but another present, and before it's even here?! I don't think so Angry

Sorry for the rant. By writing this here, I might be able to now construct a civic answer to my present-throwing friends, politely declining any contributions at this stage.

TinyTear · 14/02/2014 13:44

i had a friend from another birthgroup ask me if i'd been to the NK testing. i had to tell her i was waiting to ovulate as i needed to make the appointment on the day the ovulation test said positive...

i didn't lie... but felt a bit bad not telling ehr the truth

Tumtimes1 · 14/02/2014 14:29

Hi jbird and mum2kiss hope your spotting stops completely very soon.
tiny ive had to outright lie to my friends who have asked me. I do feel bad but i just dont want them knowing yet.

Im feeling crappy. I had a very stressful day qt work yesterday where in i ended up having a heated discussion with a colleague that really upset me.
When I went to speak to my boss i started crying which made me feel like a dick. I'm supposed to be quite 'senior' in my company and I manage a big team and i just felt rubbish.
This morning i headed into work but got a migraine with aura (mainly aura) on the train (2nd one this pregnancy) so had to come home (makes me blind in one eye etc).
And so now it has passed im sitting here worrying what my boss thinks.
And to top it off I have a scan in 1hour 25mins. I'm dreading it.

Gah! Sorry to rant, im so trying to think positive. If this one is ok I would be 9w 2 d.

nearlyreadytopop · 14/02/2014 14:49

jbrd glad things are settling down.
I have been quite sore today, a low dull ache. I've had this a few times this pregnancy and always notice extra mucus ( sorry if tmi) afterwards. I'm sure I had feelings like this in my first successful pregnancy but I wasn't really aware of it all then, so naive.
tum does your boss know you are pregnant? I don't think you can be expected to work with migraine. I had my first one ever complete with vision problems the other week. I couldn't believe how painful it was and it really scared me. Is this something I should tell gp about or is it just preg hormones as Dr Google told me?
My mindful pregnancy book has arrived, perfect timing as I'm going slowly mad in the days coming up to 12 week scan on Tuesday.

Tumtimes1 · 14/02/2014 14:56

Mindful pregnanacy? Is that all about positive thinking? If today goes ok i will buy it

My boss does know im pregnant but she hates kids so isnt the most understanding. X

TinyTear · 14/02/2014 14:57

good luck with your scan later tum

Tumtimes1 · 14/02/2014 15:08

Also nearly if you arent usually a sufferer of migraine i would just let the doc know.
I myself have had migraine with aura (vision and numbness etc) sporadically but during pregnancy they usually become more frequent. Apparently this is normal my neurologist tells me. X

Tumtimes1 · 14/02/2014 15:10

Btw sorry just to add -migraine in pregnancy is totally normal and is just a symptom, telling your doc would be more of an fyi.

Welcome buggerlugs

Hope you feel comfortable here... we are not afraid to talk fears, anger and crotch watch... without scaring (and scarring) the wide-eyed innocent newbies who might already be buying prams...

Oh hi buggerlugs and yay to ivf working!!! I remember you from the BESH thread! (I ashamedly couldn't keep up as it moved too fast!)

Those cramps sound very scary for you. I hope you are ok now?

I'm on crotch watch continually and my heart just stopped as when I wiped just now I saw the pink of my fingers through the paper and thought was pink cm. I so got to stop doing this to myself as I'm not sure I can cope... 3 full days still scan now but still worried they won't be able to see anything....

fedupofrainydays · 14/02/2014 17:20

How did it go tum?

Hello - well I cant believe it but the scan was good. Baby is progressing well and measured correct. We dont have any children so this seems mad that it actually may happen.
The doctor has said i come off clexane at 14 weeks - anyone else been advised this?

TinyTear · 14/02/2014 17:51
