I am annoyed and jealous of a good friend who has announced a surprise diffment. She's due exactly 3 months after me. She's stealing my thunder and i'm also highly jealous that she never had to try at all. I don't mean I wanted it to be hard for her, I just wanted it to be easy for me. And I had it a lot easier than most of you, so though YABa bit U bugs, its completely understandable.

MyNameIsWinkly · 28/02/2014 20:28

My poor baby will be overweight, asthmatic and hairy. Poor thing. Sometimes I judge myself for inflicting myself as a parent on a poor innocent baybee.

maamalady · 28/02/2014 20:38

I think my baybee will be alright if she takes after HOTB more than me. However, between us she's got a decent chance of being a myopic shortarse with cankles.

SinkyMalinks · 01/03/2014 04:43

I can't sleeeeeeeeeppppppppp.

I've even woken the bloody cat, so had to feed him.

I'm wide awake, yet I know I'll pass out in daytime.

Arrrrrrrgh.

As an aside, undoubtably, this wean'll have cankles, short legs and be ginger. I'll be pushing him to play rugby!

Nice to know it's not just me. Although pretty shit you two are up as well.

Merk, anything in particular? My hips are still a bit dodgy, but don't think I can blame them.

Bugs, have been sleeping with all your work/scan stress? Hope this is a one off.

Damn the hunger. I had to get a drink, and suspect ghj wasn't sleeping well with me rolling my bulk around, with much huffing and groaning. So have come down stairs. But do have a v warm blanket on the sofa to cuddle in to.

Do I have a cup of tea? I think any caffeine effect will be a drop in the ocean at this point.

For me it is just the need to pee. Then once I've got up everything hurts (hips/groin/sausage hands) and its hard to drift off again. Then I start thinking about labour...

maamalady · 01/03/2014 08:06

Me four. I woke up to pee at 4:30am and couldn't get back to sleep for a good hour and a half - should have come on here! Sorry you all were awake too, it's rubbish.

And when I did get back to sleep I had a really vivid dream about a friend of mine ignoring "do not cross" building site tape and falling in a massive hole and knocking herself out Hmm It was not very nice.

I was awake at 4 too, but not on MN as the internet reception is shit in our bedroom. I managed to get back off to sleep, thankfully.

bugs my niece is bright frigging orange (and permanently dressed in pink which I think borders on child abuse). It's those blasted Irish genes coming through. I have to hope that my dark hair and near-black devil eyes mean my genes will dominate (on everything except the nose - I wouldn't wish my conk on the next generation).

SinkyMalinks · 01/03/2014 09:34

"Near-black devil eyes" eh euro? Always thought there was something about you...

I crept back to bed at about 7ish. Got about an hours sleep. Ghj told me yesterday I MUST make him go for a run this morning. He's still snoring next to me. Apparently he'll go later. Not that we had plans or anything...

I feel almost guilty for having had a pretty good night's sleep, though I had zombie nightmares and Christmas present buying nightmares.

My neighbours are both dark haired and skinned, possibly Greek, and their wee girl is as pale skinned and ginger as you'll ever see. I was quite surprised when I first saw her!

I slept too late for the morning session of the sale. Oops. My own branch is having one next week. I'll go then.

KatAndKit · 01/03/2014 09:58

Crap sleep here too. Bloody SPD, cant get comfortable. Am lying on sofa getting kicked at the moment :) might get to the country park later. Very rock and roll here too!

eurochick · 01/03/2014 12:31

Don't tell me that winks!

sinks yep, unusually dark for someone who is not mixed race (that I know of). A friend once saw a picture of me when I was about 4 (and so my eyes dominated my face more) and jumped back crossed his forefingers in front of his face and started mock cowering....

SinkyMalinks · 01/03/2014 12:36

I've never reacted that way to your photos if it's any consolation!

I'm trying to ignore the fact I was born with lots of black hair and 2 teeth... Not a pretty baby! (But it did strangely turn to blonde ringlets by toddler hood. I will try to hold on to that if this baby is slightly demon like)

Sorry euro!

My nephew was born with thick black hair, then he went bald for ages, then had lovely blond hair, now has straight brown hair. Just to keep us guessing.

This afternoon I discovered that a bump plays havoc with my time on a rowing machine Grin

The odd twinge here and there (and I'm currently sat bouncing on my ball) but nothing substantial to report I'm afraid Bugs
