The same one, plus another one who is, by all standards, a lying abusive criminal sack of shit that made my sister's life a misery with a campaign of harassment. The lift-wanting relative called back demanding my flight details, stropped when I said I wasn't able to do pickups but said they would meet me in the airport and travel with me, then promptly booked a totally different flight and never bothered to let me know.

Sorry. Breeeeeeathe.

Sorry winks, your family sound stressful Sad

When is this second trimester glow supposed to happen? So far I'm still knackered and feel like crap.

You'll find that the symptoms come and go Bugs, it's insane-making. Not that I'm advocating it, but have you POAF recently? Seeing a reassuringly dark line might help, but equally if it's fuzzy it could make the menkul worse.

Look after your poorly pup today and just keep reminding yourself, only 4 more sleeps till your scan.

I had no symptoms for a good long while, bugs. Big/painful boobs kicked in around 7-8 weeks but felt normal by 11 weeks or so, and I've had no other symptoms at all (until a bump appeared). It is scary, but try not to dwell on it.

Today I am mostly in the car - in a services on the M6 now on the way to Wales to spend a week with my parents :)

I totally understand about not wanting to do another test. Once I'd peed on every stick in the house it was a lot easier as I could force myself to walk past shops selling them!

I had a few symptoms around week 6, tired, tingly boobs and little bit queasy, but these disappeared to coincide with my bleed in week 7 Hmm I convinced myself I'd lost the pregnancy as I felt absolutely nothing. Who knows whether it was a case of negative attitude influencing the symptoms, because within a few days of my scan the symptoms returned and got steadily stronger. I was very bloated and had almost constant background nausea by about week 10!

Enjoy the cat cuddles, they do say that animals can sense pregnancy though my cat has been reluctant to sleep on my lap as much as before, though that may be due to lack of room Grin

Take it easy in the car Draf, I've found it's quite tiring to sit in a car for long periods of time and it makes my back hurt regardless of how much I fiddle with the seat!

It's self-preservation instinct kicking in Bugs. Unfortunately none of us will ever experience that "happy happy" feeling we're supposed to get in pregnancy, we've all experienced or seen too much loss to ever really feel like it could be easy.

I'm still debating about watching OBEM tonight, might be a bit too much this close to dropping!

maamalady · 24/02/2014 13:50

I'm in a services on the M4 now, only another couple of hours to go...

How did I forget tiredness?! It's the only other symptom I have had! ConfusedGrin

Cat cuddles are lovely. I think mine has been appreciating how warm I am, but she's always been quite cuddly so difficult to tell the difference. Oldcat still loves HOTB way more than me though!

eurochick · 24/02/2014 13:52

I did the same bugs. I like to have a plan and planning for the worst case helped me.

I also found that symptoms came and went. If you look back to my posts around NY you will see that just before my 6 week scan all my symptoms had disappeared to the extent that I went in there and said "can we skip eveything else and can you just get me on the couch and scan me asap as I am sure it has gone like last time and I just need to know".

I loved my few weeks of pregnancy until the bad scan last time. This time I have just found it unpleasantly stressful. And I have only been through mc once. I feel guilty for not enjoying the pregnancy given how much I want it, but it's just really hard. Each week takes an age to pass. I was just willing away the first tri so I would at least have some comfort from reaching that milestone (and on that subject, today I am 13+4 so officially in the second tri)

Enjoy your visit Draf.

I had a lovely weekend with BIL & SIL, but a very tiring one! 2x3 hr drive each way (with me doing all the driving because KFZK doesn't drive), a night in a hotel with a rattling window that meant I got about 3 hrs sleep and then setting up and supervising a party for 15x4 yr old Shock. And I was supposed to be working from home today as we have just moved offices and they asked people to stay away and then said we had to come in to get our security pass photos done. So I'm here, but shattered!

I told work today. The office manager told me everyone had already guessed. Clearly my drapey scarf plan didn't work as well as I had hoped... There is really no hiding it though. I look like a proper chubber. But I tried on some of the mat bits I had ordered this morning and they are huge on me so will have to go back. More days crammed into normal clothes loom.

eurochick · 24/02/2014 13:55

That should be one 3 hr drive each way. Or 2 3 hr drives. Not both!

I lost you! Sorry about the menkul, bugs! Sounds normal tho. Only four sleeps! Hurrah for ok doggie...

Well done for telling them, euro and for being in the second trimester!

Waves and knackeredness from me...

GingerScouse · 24/02/2014 18:56

I've found that the one pair of maternity jeans I have just make me look bigger!

I'm just living in leggings and stretchy dresses for work.

FrankelInFoal · 24/02/2014 22:28

I liked the fact that this series looks like it has some sarcastic midwives Grin

That's a good sign Bugs Smile

Agree the midwives seem lovely, but we Bristol folk generally are Wink, we just all sound like yokels Grin

I've seen on Facebook this morning that a friend of my BIL (who lives in Bristol) features with his wife/girlfriend in episode 3 Grin

eurochick · 25/02/2014 10:28

I caught a bit of OBEM last night for the first time in ages. I was a bit scared.

bugs the plan at the moment (subject to change of course) is for me to take around 4 months and then KFZK to take 3 or 4 months. We've also talked about both going down to 4 days a week for a while so nemo (as it's been christened by KFZK) would only be in childcare for 3 days a week initially. But I'm keeping an open mind and will see how things go. I'm not massively enjoying my job at the moment, but I think being a SAHM would drive me mental.

FrankelInFoal · 25/02/2014 20:04

I've been very teary and emotional today Sad Is this just me nearing the end or do I need to buck myself up?

I'm getting so fed up of my college work and have emailed my tutor to see how much leeway they are prepared to give me on submission dates. Honestly if they told me right now I could postpone to next year I think I'd take it.

CatsCantFlyFast · 25/02/2014 20:25

Frank I'm having days like that too but don't think I'm nearing the end yet. However FX its a sign for you that things are about to start
