Aaaah, congratulations both of you! I am imagining you cuddling up with your little ones. Hope they get nice and comfy! LT xx

Trinpy · 08/04/2014 08:50

Congratulations patsy. Hope you're enjoying getting to know your new dd. How's she doing?

The skin to skin didn't work for us so we had to go into hospital. But by the time we got to see the doctor baby's obs were normal and his breathing was clear so they let us go home as we live so close. Such a relief to be able to go home and eat!

prettyinpink90 · 08/04/2014 09:56

Congratulations trinpy and patsy hope that you are both doing well!

We are enjoying time as a family Smile although Emilia seems to settle during the day but refuses to settle anywhere apart from on us at night.

wendle70 · 08/04/2014 10:16

Congrats trinpy and patsy! Wow the babies are coming fast now how lovely!

BlessedAssurance · 08/04/2014 14:31

Congratulations patsyThanks.

ChurrosConChocolate · 08/04/2014 22:11

Congratulations patsy! Love the name, on our list for if we have a girl (incidentally, those still waiting, have you all decided on a name??!! We are still struggling... )

Trinpy sorry you had to go to hospital in the end but glad they let you out again! Hope you are settling into life at home together.

pretty that sounds like totally normal newborn behaviour Grin not that that helps in the middle of the night when all you want to do is sleep I know!

badfurday · 08/04/2014 22:40

Babybadfurday born 11.23am on the. 7th April. Went into labour at 4am, so it all happened very quickly. Just gas and air too. Home by 8pm Smile
Littlun is simply amazing. No sleep last night but we are still trying to figure out each other.

Well done to all the other new arrivals! Grin

Trinpy · 08/04/2014 22:50

Congratulations badfurday! What a coincidence that we shared a due date and an actual birth date!

Trinpy · 08/04/2014 22:52

And very similar length labours. Are we the same person? Grin

Vikkijayne2507 · 09/04/2014 04:36

congrats badfurday or trinpy in disguise

ChurrosConChocolate · 09/04/2014 07:39

Congratulations badfurday! Sounds like a good birth Smile boy or girl? How big? Do you have a name?

We're only just over a week into April and I feel like everyone is having their babies already!

mamapants · 09/04/2014 09:24

So out of everyone who has had their babies so far have they been before or after due date?
And how many overdue people are there?
I'm not actually due till first of may, which seems like ages away when everyone is having their babies!

Vikkijayne2507 · 09/04/2014 10:42

I was 2 weeks early.

badfurday · 09/04/2014 11:12

Thanks everyone. It's the best feelingSmile but hard work.
I had a little girl 7lbs4. We like the name autumn Kara, I know it's a bit of a marmite name, but it seems to suit her. She has a mop of dark brown hair and is simply adorable.

Misty9 · 09/04/2014 11:36

I think they've mostly been early mama ...except me Angry I'm due today. No sign of anything happening.

Congrats bad

patsy375 · 09/04/2014 13:52

I was a day late and induced when they found meconium in my waters.
Having a lovely time with my little girl, her brothers are all smitten Smile

badfurday · 09/04/2014 14:12

I was 3 days late. Completely expected to have to be induced. But bang, hello contractions! I completely know how you feel, I was so fed up towards the end. Good luck to all still expecting. Wink

wendle70 · 09/04/2014 16:47

Congrats badfurday! Smile

LeeHandy · 09/04/2014 20:38

congratulations badfur!! glad to know it was quick and both you and baby are well! Thanks
gosh, there's a baby being born every day now! who's next? Grin
babylee has begun chewing my nipples so hard that I am in agony when I am not feeding. he latches on well but then yanks his head back to a shallower latch. I am going to see my health visitor tmw and I hope she can help me!

badfur congratulationsThanks. I like the name. Wrt due date mama i went into labour on my due date, probably would have given birth on the same day too but the little monkey was so high up he had no plans to come down, even after 20hrs.
lee i hope things will improve and get better. I have found breastfeeding to be more painful than my C section. I do not know why i am still at it as now i have serious headaches after every feedSad. Just being stubborn and the fact that every other mother i know seem to be managing and i wonder what is wrong with me. Besides the fear of my boobs becoming engorged and huge keeps me goingGrin. This too shall pass is my motto these days. Thank heavens my little one is just drinking, pooping and sleeping.

Is anyone teary or it is just me? I cry at the drop of a hat and i was just crying because after holding them off for a week,i realise that i have to let my friends come for a visit. My home is normally clean and the fact that anyone might see it dirty, not even dirty just dusty is making me cry. Stupid and bonkers me:)

LightTripper · 10/04/2014 07:53

Congratulations badfur, fantastic news! And I like the name too, it's really pretty. I bet it will suit her perfectly

Hope BF gets easier for everybody. All these things they never warn you about!! Take care of yourselves, xx

LeeHandy · 10/04/2014 10:46

blessed, crying because your house is dirty actually seems reasonable when compared to the last time I ended up crying. which was because babylee's wipe up water was not hot enough for him and it made him cry, so I cried too because I was being a bad mother and torturing him! it's all hormones, I tell you!
I forgot to say I like the name autumn too!

badfurday · 10/04/2014 11:24

Hi all.

Blessed, I'm very tearful too. I'm crying at everything and feel completely she'll shocked. I'm hoping it will pass. I have an irritating mother in law too who thinks it's her way or no way. Hmm Whole other thread....

Had a really hard night last night and she wouldn't go down until 4am, and even then that was lying on my chest with me sat up in bed. Hate to say it but we even resorted to a dummy, feel like such a failure. It soothed her a little, but she kept spitting it out and there was clearly something else going on. She doesn't like going down in her carry cot at night, fine during the day though?! She is now fast asleep on my lap while I sit here crying. Feel like crap mum. Confused

Vikkijayne2507 · 10/04/2014 14:24

badfur don't feel crap its normal my week in hospital I spent days in tears had to give formula twice as I got in such a state. I even walked to nurses station in floods of tears feeling useless. James had a terrible night last night at 2 weeks 3 days old feeding constantly refusing to sleep. I'm really confused how much a 2 week old can eat but he didn't throw up any. Take each day as it comes. I needed oh and when I was able to leave hospital after 6 days it was still hard but the support and normality of home helped me not go mad

ChurrosConChocolate · 10/04/2014 14:27

badfurday love the name and she sounds adorable. Please don't feel like a crap mum, most newborns are nocturnal, she's just getting used the world. You just have to do whatever you can to get through the nights and then try and get some rest in the day if you can. She probably just wasn't sure what the tummy was for, unless she genuinely seems in pain for some reason I don't think there is anything unusual in what you are describing!

blessed sorry you are still struggling with breastfeeding, have you had any help yet? I cried every day for weeks after DS was born, totally normal! I agree with lee - hormones!

misty your baby will be here soon, I'm sure Wink

mama I'll still be here waiting with you at the end of the month I'm sure!

I had my 38week appointment today and all is looking good. I'm 3/5 engaged, not sure that means much though really. Baby still shifting from left to right side regularly, I wish s/he would settle in one place (by which I mean left anterior which would be the best place for them to come out from!)
