Thanks all for the kind words. I think I am a bit over tired from not sleeping for the last month so it got to me last night more than it should. Still think what I want is reasonable but agree with lee that now's not the time to get worked up about it. Still feel a bit down though and hoping the joy comes back and I dont develop PND after LO arrives.

Congrats pretty by the way!

Slightly scared by bfeeding stories...do nipple shields not really work? Ow sounds so painful..well done you ladies persevering with it..i think the tommee tippees would be looking attractive right now if it was me! Have heard expressing can help too as long as you do it straight after a feed. Have a nice weekend.

Nipple shield works for me I can't feed without it yet. its getting a bit sore when Jamie gets aggressively hungry but generally it doesn't hurt. I have started to get a headache behind my left eye but I think lack of sleep contributes towards that

patsy375 · 06/04/2014 12:32

Hello ladies. Just to let you know
I had a show last night and I've got lots of period pain b.h and back ache today.
I've been induced with all my other babies so not sure that I'd recognise spontaneous labour if it smacked me in the face lol.
Will keep you posted.

40 weeks today.

LeeHandy · 06/04/2014 14:07

good luck wendle! hope you are having a better day today...
patsy, that's exciting news! waiting to see if the show progresses today.. Take care! Thanks

Hi there,
Baby Magnus was born on 1st April at 38+3 by elective c-section.
While he is healthy and feeding well (toe curlingly but well) I am not.
I had a cardiac arrest during the surgery and had to be rescuscitated and have been in intensive care. Completely unexplained but my heart slowed to a complete stop. CPR and adrenaline and it would appear that for now I am 'ok' again but clearly going to take a bit of investigating. I am on a 24hr heart monitor to see if it picks anything up.
DH and I in state of shock. Lots of tears and trying to hold it together for the other children who are blissfully unaware.
I'm going to take a bit of 'rebuilding' from this from all sorts of perspectives, physically and mentally.
For now DH and I are keeping life simple. Phones are off, no visitors and we're just focussing on all of our babies and keeping well fed and sleeping where we can.
Congratulations to you all on your babies so far. I haven't got the concentration to read properly and may not return to this thread regularly but well done to you all.

Just to update you my waters broke this morning at 9 but baby had passed meconium into them.
Had monitoring done and she is fine but I'm now currently on the delivery suite awaiting a drip to get contractions going.

Trinpy · 07/04/2014 13:37

ChurrosConChocolate · 07/04/2014 14:34

Wow - lots happening here!

Firstly congrats to pretty and nevergoogle on your new arrivals. Hope they are doing well.

nevergoogle that sounds terrifying. Hope you are ok and getting some answers. Definitely think counselling for you and your DH would be good once you are up to it. Hope you are doing ok and get to come home soon.

Good luck to trinpy and patsy! Looking forward to baby news soon! You are on the final stretch and will soon get to meet your babies!

wendle I don't have anything to add to what others have said really but don't think what you are asking is in anyway unreasonable. I would say just concentrate on your baby for now though and then you can come back to this once things settle a bit.

Hope the breastfeeding is improving blessed

Hope everyone else had a nice weekend!

LeeHandy · 07/04/2014 14:59

Alexander was born at 4.40 this afternoon at home. He's so gorgeous. He's had a feed and is fast asleep on my lap now. His temp was a little low and his hr a little high so we're just trying some skin to skin under lots of blankets to get him to normal. Hope we don't have to go to hospital after all this!

Good luck to patsy.

ChurrosConChocolate · 07/04/2014 20:13

Congratulations Trinpy!!! Glad you got your home birth and hope the skin to skin does the trick and you get to stay at home.

Seems like we are getting lots of boys at the moment! Grin

BlessedAssurance · 07/04/2014 22:05
