DS 2nd birthday is March 21st! But that's this Friday and far too early!!! Hopefully we can hang on a wee bit longer! Just have to suffer! It's worth it after all!

Cannotbelieveit · 17/03/2014 19:36

Yeah I'd like to hang on longer than that really as much as I can't wait to meet him! Esp since I have 4th row tickets to Gary barlow on April 8th!

NakedMum33and3rd · 17/03/2014 19:43

Even better reason to hang on! Lucky you. Very jealous!!!

Cannotbelieveit · 17/03/2014 19:45

I'm sure the 1 time I manage to get good seats I won't end up going! Wink

Hehe patsy, having just polished off some chocolate sitting on the couch by myself, I can't comment on any one else's diet.. I am so glad I got the kicks app, I realized that even though baby's kicks have reduced in intensity, I have already got 9 rounds of movements from him today, so clearly I was just being paranoid. feeling pretty relieved now, so thanks for that tip!
Cannot I agree that if i had such good tickets, I would definitely expect not to be able to go as well! Grin
tomorrow the hospital bags will be completely packed and then we'll be all set.
38 weeks today and ready to pop!

Cannot I've gone from back pain to pain in the foof! At least I don't have both at the same time. I had the same with DS but not til later. Midwife said I was 4/5 engaged at appointment last week so I wondered if it was just where baby has dropped down a bit. I'm also in awe at how organised you are as you are due about the same time as me and I still have a massive list of things to do before the baby arrives!

Lee glad you are feeling reassured. Was going to say the same, they just run out of room to make too many big movements.

Naked Aargh, don't tell me that about stretch marks!!! I got through pregnancy one with none and presumed that because I didn't have any yet I'd got away with it again... I'm rubbish at remembering to moisturise too.

I had a great meeting with my doula yesterday and I'm feeling very positive and excited about the birth now! Just need to wind down work a bit so I can have the time to get myself organised.

Cannotbelieveit · 17/03/2014 22:21

Churros, the being organised just makes me feel slightly more in control! Shock

Misty9 · 17/03/2014 22:35

cannot sounds like the head's dropped and is causing you a bit of SPD pain. I'm the same - head's engaged and it's a struggle to even sit down! Have to use my v pillow at night but it makes me soo hot. Sleep is increasingly a distant memory...

I am so fed up with being pregnant now; I don't remember getting this feeling until later with ds dh disagrees and don't want to think there could be another 3-4 weeks of this... Saying that, I've started nesting I think - converted the cot to a co sleeper today and proud of my DIY skills, also started washing the clothes. Can't believe ds was that small...!

One more day and I'm in the zone for a home birth, if that's what I choose Grin

I thought that misty as i was in lots of pain when still at work!

Got 34 week mw appt on Wednesday so will see if he's engaged (he was head down at last appt)

Vikkijayne2507 · 17/03/2014 22:41

your post misty could be written by me. The only position comfortable is surrounded by pillows with me sitting up almost not very practical

Misty9 · 17/03/2014 22:53

It's crap isn't it vikki :( I can't even really sit up in bed without leaning forwards as it's too painful when I move from a laid back position. Blew up the birth ball the other day and that is definitely more comfy than a chair - have you got one?

Thankfully dh can now reduce his days until the birth to help me out; I'm lucky, I know. He also gives me a lie in every morning pretty much (until 8ish when ds usually wakes at 6.30) as I seem to get my best sleep then. He's amazing.

BlessedAssurance · 17/03/2014 23:34

lee that is what i thought too about stretch marks. I had one line on my belly when pregnant with Dd. This time nothing. I got lucky
cannot Dd's birthday is 31st of march as well. I had 8 kids from her daycare on saturday for an early celebration. Then this coming sat i have another little party for her with friends from church. I thought we are all going to be focussing on the new arrival so we make her birthday memorable. I think MIL will want to do something on the actual date so she is welcome to decide what we do.
In awe of misty's DIY skillsSmile. I am finding everything hard, sitting hurts, lying down hurts and i feel like a whate. Light at the end of a tunnel though.

Blessed we aren't doing much for his birthday as we figure he's going to be 1 and doesn't have a clue! I have a consultant appt and scan that morning and then we are taking DS to the sealife centre and to get him a keyboard and maybe 1 more little present! He has everything he needs and my parents bought him clothes for his birthday already!

Would be very funny to have another one born I the same day I have to say! I have a friend whose DD's are 1 year apart and have the same birthday!

Vikkijayne2507 · 18/03/2014 02:24

Misty I agree moving from a lying down posiition is really quite painful its really horrible. I have a ball and its really good to help with aches and pains getting off the ball and walking however isnt much fun so i was sat the other night just bouncing away for ages. My oh was good tonight he got all the pillows in the house and I had pillows behind my back and head, pillows either side of the bump and a pillow in between my leg it was really nice and comfy only issue was getting up needing the loo. Hes a good egg my oh

BlessedAssurance · 18/03/2014 08:51

Cannot wow. He is turning 1?Grin. Girl, you are gonna have two under 2? Buckle up.. It will be fine though and they will be very close in age which is a big plus. Dd will be 4 and i feel the age gape is a bit much but had no choice.

Cannotbelieveit · 18/03/2014 09:26

Blessed yes very close age gap but they will be close and into the same things! Looking forward to watching them grow together! My DS1 Hunter is a perfect baby wrt sleep, eating, behaviour, temperamanent etc! Hoping ds2 will be the same! Wink

LightTripper · 20/03/2014 09:23

That is a small gap! Having said that, lots of my friends have 15-18 month gaps and it seems to work really well - all their kids love playing together, whereas my sister and I (4 year gap) were a bit older before we could really do that properly.

Have not been on for a while as too crazy at work, but all well here - had my 34 week appointment on Monday, and BP back down to normal which was good. Baby is head down again, and I've had a few pains this week "down there" which I suspect might be her starting to wiggle into place.

I have to say having had a horrible early pregnancy I think (touch wood!) I have been pretty lucky in this later bit. I am still sleeping well, and aside from the odd cramp session am sleeping through without the need to go to the loo or anything. And still able to walk to work (2 miles - albeit a bit slower than before!), which seems like it is not something you can take for granted at 35 weeks.

I only have about 2.5 weeks left at work, which doesn't feel like enough - but teams to take over are starting to come together and get into the swing a bit more, so feeling a bit better about it. Need to do some concentrated hand-over work and getting bills out today and tomorrow though. I might try to do an extra week if I can (leaving more holiday to take at the end of my mat leave once she is here!) - though that would take me to 38.5 weeks, so may be a bit mad: I will see how things are going when I get there.

My main job now is I need to get my hospital bag together. Still missing some bits and bobs for that, but will try to do the final shopping order today and then pull together a bag over the weekend, even if it still has some gaps in it!

LT xx

Had 34 week mw appt yesterday.

Still measuring 2 weeks ahead so they want to try and get me a scan before the one I have on 31st with the consultant. Urine and BP all perfect! Head down but not engaged yet. Very strong HB from Ryder as usual xxx

Glad to hear you and your babies are keeping well cannot and light.
I finished work last Friday but after the week I've had I wish I was still there!
Im attempting to potty train ds3 as determined not to have 2 in nappies but he developed scarlet fever 2 days in and started a course of antibiotics which lets just say haven't helped in the bottom department Shock
Meanwhile ds1 and ds 2 have both had a sickness bug which they kindly shared with me Sad
Needless to say my washing machine has never seen so much action and I am well and truly sick of the sight of bodily fluids!
Am actually praying baby holds on a bit now til we are all a bit better (and drier!)

ChurrosConChocolate · 20/03/2014 17:26

Oh patsy that doesn't sound like any fun at all Sad hope the baby stays put until things settle down and you are all better.

light glad you are feeling well and there is not long for you to go at work. Things will probably all come together. I would try and tie it up as much as possible if I was you in case the baby comes a little earlier and you are still working and then things would not be left tidy IYSWIM.

cannot I'm sure if the only problem is that you are measuring a little over then there can't be too much of a problem but always good to get it checked I suppose.

I'm feeling pretty good at the moment too apart from a heaviness and achiness down below which stops me walking too far. Sleeping well though so I'm making the most of that!

Vikkijayne2507 · 20/03/2014 19:10

I had a tour of the labour block and it was really good. only issue is it involved a lot of walking and my left leg in the pelvic bone groin area is in si much pain I feel exhausted baby is very heavy and moving around a lot. I don't know how much more aches and pains I can put up with.

BlessedAssurance · 20/03/2014 20:55

Patsy poor youSad that is horrible. Hope the little one will hang on till you are all feeling much better. Have you found out what you are having or it is going to be a surprise.

BlessedAssurance · 20/03/2014 20:58

Vikki it will be over before you know it.Smile very soon you will be holding your little pumpkin in your arms and all the aches and pains will be a thing of the past. Hang in there..
