Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MrsRApilot · 16/12/2013 00:24

Well ladies hello again. I have been silently reading stalking from the sidelines these past couple of months. Sorry for all of you who are having a generally crappy time of it. Especially another that really is shit!

Big hugs fly I had terrible pre-natal depression with my DD and it is the most horrible thing. Definitely come on here to vent whenever you need to. Luckily mine went away the day after I gave birth so fingers crossed it will be the same for you. Bloody hormones wrecking round them!

And to all ladies who are showing signs of being nearly there with painful BH, losing plugs etc I hope things start properly for you soon as DH is getting annoyed with my guessing who will be the next to pop

humpty that was really rude of them as they obviously know you're pregnant and clearly put no thought into how to make the wedding easier for you. Seriously, who asks a heavily pregnant woman to sing at their wedding then doesn't even have a non-alcoholic drink available for them!?! I'm Angry on your behalf!

Have had a few pregnancy problems and baby decided not to grow properly for a while which turned me into a hormonal wreck which I reacted to with maturity and common sense. He is now growing okayish but I'm having a caesarean on the 2nd of January.

I know I've left loads of people out so my apologies - I promise to do better next time Grin

MrsRApilot · 16/12/2013 00:29

bunt glad you're feelibg better. With regards to the kids things do just work themselves out I am screwed if they don't!!

It was my DD's birthday today as well so you have my sympathies as, if you're anything like me, you're knackered.

Ooooh another one with painful contractions. I'm jealous Smile

fryingpantoface · 16/12/2013 01:53

Humpty that's just rubbish. I wouldn't get them a gift.

mrsr wow! It's all going on, I'm sorry about the worry, but it's good there's a game plan to get it sorted. That's really not long until your baby is here

well, i will not be doing epo again. At all. It doesn't help that I've been hit with preggo insomnia but it's just not a nice feeling leaking all the time. And it feels like i now have thrush. And I'm wondering when all the epo will have left.

i think that if i could sleep it would be different. Dh is asleep next to me and it's making me feel stabby. It doesn't help that everytime i lie down I feel like i need to pee. Every single time. So i get up, go to the toilet, pee the tiniest amount, come back to bed... And need to pee again.

i wasn't this bad when i was pregnant with ds!

OnlyThePurpleOnes · 16/12/2013 06:53

Me too, frying. I am up and down all night like a whores drawers, as my old dad used to say. And once I'm awake it takes aaages to get back to sleep again. Lying there listening to DH snoring away makes me want to punch him in the kidneys. How dare he be relaxed and resting. Bastard.

Humpty what a pile of bollocks. I would have been so annoyed. Similar happened to a friend at a wedding we all went to. She couldn't eat the starter, so they bought her an onion! Honestly - a whole, roasted onion, on a plate. Nothing else. It was so funny. Although she wasn't pregnant and relegated to warm tap water all night on top of onion-gate. Get them a book on etiquette for their wedding gift! Grin

Is anyone still waxing?? I'm tempted to book in as things are getting a bit out of control and '80's Playboy' looking down there, and i don't trust myself with mirror and scissors/razor anymore. Just not sure if it will hurt more? I seem to remember going for one in the late stages last time and instantly regretting my decision when there first strip came off!

MrsVDB · 16/12/2013 07:18

another it's not huge no, just on the wheel arch, maybe inch diameter. More annoying as its the first brand new car I've ever had and with the house being a building site it was nice having something perfect. One of my colleagues reckons there's no excess (company car) which will be amazing if true

humpty that is truly shit! Sounds like they are very thoughtless. Dicks

only I haven't yet but I'm planning on going for a wax, although its all creeping up very quickly (time but pubes also!!) so need to get more organised. I've heard it can be more painful but we're about to push a person out so can handle a bit of stinging right?

MrsVDB · 16/12/2013 07:19

Ps. Last Monday at work today wooooo

fryingpantoface · 16/12/2013 08:12

Only - stupid sleeping other half! I'm not waxing, I'm going to beard trim again. The glamour!

I realised that I have thrush because of the antibiotics for my tooth. I woke up really wet tho, so I'm doing the whole hour lining reclined will see what happens. I think it'll just be Prego juice again. Sigh

What's the plans for today for everyone?

Congrats on the last Monday at work Mrs!

Naturegirl82 · 16/12/2013 08:20

Morning all. I'm still waxing, in fact only started at 13 weeks so still a newbie to it!! I had a wax 2 weeks ago and it wasn't too bad! Painful but bearable, but no where near as bad as the first time, and that's a full leg and bikini wax so pain goes on for a while! I'll be booking in again after Christmas as don't think I'll be going again for a while once baby is born!!

Good luck to all those on their last weeks before mat leave Smile

mrs sorry about your car. Same happened to my new car (although only a scratch) after a similar amount of time and it's gut wrenching. I'm booking it in to get sorted this week.

This is going to be a busy week for me but fingers crossed I get everything done. Did most of my xmas shopping last night and only one thing left to get now. Need to make sure all my hospital bags are packed as we are away at my parents for xmas and baby may decide to be born down south which is obviously the best place to be born Wink so preparing just in case.

Naturegirl82 · 16/12/2013 08:23

humpty that is really rude of the bride and groom at the wedding. It does not take a lot of thought and planning to accommodate a pg lady especially when you are contributing to their day. I hope they realise how rude and inconsiderate they have been Angry

Naturegirl82 · 16/12/2013 08:24

Hope the tooth is getting better frying tooth infections are the worst.

Naturegirl82 · 16/12/2013 08:27

Sorry you have been having some worries with the baby MrsRA. Nobody warns you about how much being pg will make you worry, but fx everything is fine for both you and the baby.

Sultanajo · 16/12/2013 08:57

Hi bunt and mrsra! Good to hear from you both..

omg humpty! That's unbelievable! Just one of those things would have been annoying, but all of them combined! I was actually allergic to the starter we chose for our own wedding, but because we knew everyone else would love it, we went with it and I just subtly moved my starter across to DHs plate.

Well I wrote Xmas cards to DHs mum and sister who live abroad. DH wrote them first, literally putting "To mum, from DH", so I re-wrote them, giving them a massive update on everything and the ONLY thing DH had to do was write the address on them both. Well, after two weeks of them sitting on the living room table, he has now managed to frickin lose them! FFS! Considering I wrote ALL his cards this year and posted them all and sorted all his friends and families presents, I am just a tad pissed off! I realise in the grand scheme of things its not a big deal, but its the fact that I just KNEW that would happen and now I have to waste time hunting for them! Grrrr!

Hope everyone has a good Monday. Got the NCT girls coming for lunch tomorrow. Thought I would make life easy and get a couple of pizzas in, but when I asked if there were any toppings people didn't like, I got tons of replies back which ruled out most things.... I may end up with one margherita and one veggie at this rate!

MrsRApilot · 16/12/2013 09:02

Thanks frying that's crap about sleeping Sad There's nothing worse than having to get up every five minutes to wee, and the middle of the night makes everything seem worse so it's doubly crap. I've not tried the epo but the thought of oily stuff leaking out doesn't fill me with happiness. I'm the same regarding it being worse this time than with number 1.

Thanks nature You have my deepest admiration with the waxing I'm a total wuss

only I would go for the wax if you can. I shaved butchered myself the other day and needless to say it won't be happening again. Turns out when you can't see what you're doing and you're holding a very sharp razor things tend to not turn out too well Hmm

Mrsv booo about the car but woohoo for your last Monday at work!

Today's plan is to clean and tidy the hovel house and then DH is taking me to an Andre Rieu concert tonight which I am super excited for, although it will be interesting to see how the heck I manage to sit for so long/walk to loo etc on crutches. (Had severe SPD since 20-odd weeks. But I phoned and they've said we can use the press entrance so that we don't have to queue which is good.

Hope everyone else is having a productive or relaxing day depending on what you want to do Smile

MrsRApilot · 16/12/2013 09:06

sultana your 'D'H sounds like mine. It is only a small thing but when you spend ages doing something and then they don't bother their arse doing their bit it is hugely a tad annoying.

MrsRApilot · 16/12/2013 09:07

Oh and clearly I'm on a roll with tidying/clesning today as I've just crawled back into bed Grin

MrsRApilot · 16/12/2013 09:09

Obviously my previous post was meant to say 'cleaning'. My excuse is going to be that I need more sleep Smile

extracrunchy · 16/12/2013 09:24

Hi MrsRA! Nice to have you back, and sorry to hear you've had a stressful time - but exciting you've got a date!!

Also welcome back Bunt Smile

Frying how's the tooth? I decided the same about EPO - too messy and had me thinking waters had gone every morning (amazing how much leaks from those little capsules..!) AND I got thrush. Apparently taking them orally is also good though, so I'm doing that.

Today DS is at nursery and I might clean a bit and wrap some presents but will more likely end up lying around in my pjs doing nothing... I'm allowed now though, right?! Not like it'll be possible come January!

fryingpantoface · 16/12/2013 10:15

Tooth doesn't hurt at all! Which is brilliant, must have been an absess.

yeah, i ended up in the shower at 2.30 because i didn't like the epo.

as I've had v little sleep, everything my 2 year old is doing is winding me up. My house is a mess again, so that needs to be cleaned, but I'm just so tired.

Sultanajo · 16/12/2013 10:19

mrsra I too am a total wuss when it comes to waxing, but after cutting myself shaving the other week I have now left myself with trimming as the only option. I may even make DH do it for me as his penance for losing the cards! I have already told him he is gonna have to shave my legs for me before labour as I can no longer bend and reach properly! Am nervous about letting him loose on me with a razor, but needs must!

Well the rain is making me majorly procrastinate! Just one more episode of kardashians and then really must crack on with food shopping and house cleaning. Joy!

Naturegirl82 · 16/12/2013 10:23

Right I really need to take Pooch for a walk (she was not impressed with me when I got back into bed!!) and then need to crack on with putting stuff up in the attic. I will get this house sorted!

OnlyThePurpleOnes · 16/12/2013 10:32

Right, I'm going to bite the bullet and make an appointment. MrsRA thats exactly why I'm worried about. It'll be a bloodbath, i know it.

I hadn't even considered the prospect of the epo coming back out again! Don't know what i was executing to happen to it - it would magically get sucked up or something. I think I'm going to skip it. Mind you the raspberry leaf tea is still sat unopened in the cupboard too. I'm crap at the pregnancy lark.

Im tidying too! Ive just organised about 10 years worth of CD data disks that keep getting shoved from place to place gathering dust. All backups of backups of photos from a hundred years ago, or data supplied by clients from 2003, or other such crap. All viewed, scratched and binned. I'm on a bit of a 'bin it' bent at the minute. Sit still too long, and you may get thrown in the bin!

Naturegirl82 · 16/12/2013 10:39

Ooh only I've got the same bin it attitude here as well. 7 bags of rubbish went to the tip yesterday.

Utter crap. Nearly 36 weeks and I just discovered my first tummy stretch marks. Boo hiss. Thought I might be one of the lucky ones. Sad

Felix90 · 16/12/2013 10:41

Morning everyone!

I used an EPO last night and wasn't impressed either. OH had to do if for me and it was the most ridiculous thing ever as I couldn't keep still haha. I think I'll take them orally instead, as I don't want to end up with thrush Hmm

Just had delivery of OH's last Christmas present so going to wrap them all today whilst he's at work and then laze around for the rest of the day. Currently watching Jeremy Kyle which is making me feel better about life...

Also I had a dream last night that baby arrived but she could talk and OH was also a baby and they kept talking to each other. Then when I tried to bf her my nipples kept falling off!! Very odd!

Hope there's some progress for people today.

OnlyThePurpleOnes · 16/12/2013 10:58

LOL Felix - beware detachable nipples!

Nature 8 bags!!I am actually jealous! I have to do it in secret while DH is at work and he just hovers about demanding to know exactly what is being thrown out. He is refusing to let go of his skateboard and rollerblades which have been in the same storage box for the past 8 years through three house moves. You're 35, man. LET IT GO!!

Naturegirl82 · 16/12/2013 11:09

Haha only. It's the other way round in this house! I'm the hoarder so Dh is very happy that he gets to go around with a bin bag and just throw things in. I think there will be more going to the tip this week as well as we have 5 boxes we haven't unpacked yet that I think are pretty much full of junk! Smile
