Hi ladies
Sorry I couldn't get back on here yesterday. Literally had day from hell. So I was admitted and am still here now. Am on iv antibiotics and strong painkillers but nothing rly working and they yet to find out what's wrong exactly. They think its my kidneys and I have a scan at 9am to check if its kidney stones.I ended up having pethidine last night as was literally screaming and rolled into a ball. Feel sorry for the people on this ward with me! After this labour will be a breeze I think. The pain last night was 10 times worse than giving birth to dd. I just want some answers today as want to go home to dd and dsd. Anyway will keep u updated when I can. Thanks for all kind msgs x

TobyLerone · 22/11/2013 06:50

Omg loulou, how horrible for you :( I hope they sort you out soon, and please let me know if you need anything Flowers

quackojuliet · 22/11/2013 07:24

Oh choco hope the scan turns up some answers. Dh had kidney stones and they are excruciating,he was crippled in pain and vomiting blood.was very scary.
Hopefully they will diagnose quickly and get treatment sorted for you.

Felix90 · 22/11/2013 07:36

Choco that sounds awful! My Mum had kidney stones after she gave birth to me and she said the pain was worse than labour. I hope they can find out the cause soon.

Frizz1986 · 22/11/2013 07:45

choco how horrible! Hope they manage to find out exactly what is wrong when they do the scans. Thinking of you and hope they are able to swiftly sort it out once they know what's wrong.

fryingpantoface · 22/11/2013 07:51

Oh choco i'm sorry, fingers crossed it gets sorted quickly for you

extracrunchy · 22/11/2013 09:04

Omg Choco poor you! As if you need that on top of being heavily pregnant... Hope they can help you quickly xx

Felix90 · 22/11/2013 09:49

I am having the most ridiculous hormonal melt down ever. This is the second day in a row I've been trying to find a bottle of damn soy sauce I bought on Tuesday evening. I am desperate to make some pulled jerk chicken in the slow cooker and the recipe calls for soy sauce. I BOUGHT SOME AND IT DEFINITELY CAME HOME WITH US AND NOW ITS DISAPPEARED IN TO THIN AIR. How is this even possible? I actually want to punch someone. Is this totally unreasonable?

I suppose I'm doing quite well if this is the biggest thing I have to worry about at the moment.

TobyLerone · 22/11/2013 09:51

Can you not just go out and get another bottle, felix?

Felix90 · 22/11/2013 09:58

I'm kind of stuck in the house at the moment as I've got SPD to the point where I can't really walk further than 5 minutes. Partner has buggered off to work (how inconsiderate!) so I'll have to wait until tonight for him to ferry me to the shop. I'm just totally confused about where it could have gone?! In normal circumstances I wouldn't really be bothered but it's niggling at me Hmm

Anyway, I have a question Smile is anyone doing the NCT antenatal classes? We start ours tomorrow and I'm really nervous as I'm not sure what to expect. I don't even know how to change a nappy...

TobyLerone · 22/11/2013 10:00

Oh, rubbish :(

I'm not doing NCT classes (and it's a subject which incites The Rage in me!), but plenty are :)

Felix90 · 22/11/2013 10:05

I was in two minds about the classes as I have read they can be a bit 'preachy' about certain subjects, but the NHS ones are so over subscribed and rubbish in my area that I thought we would give them a go. To be perfectly honest, I'm just hoping to make some friends who are also going to be parents are we are the first out of ours to have a baby and I feel a bit disconnected from everyone now I've got a bun in the oven.

TobyLerone · 22/11/2013 10:20

That's why I wanted to go. I need to meet some other people with babies. I timed mine all wrong -- had my older 2 DC at 22 & 23, and now I'm having DC3 at 36.

So I've basically never had friends with babies the same age as mine. They all had theirs somewhere in the middle.

Sultanajo · 22/11/2013 10:26

Just trying to catch up! Honestly, I have one night out and there are ten million messages! Grin I didnt get home til gone midnight! Blush

mrsv Grin Thanks for the link. Not sure my legs would fit that! Skinny jeans girl I aint...! Mind you, both my friends said they thought I had actually lost weight, particularly in my face, arms and legs!!! I am sure its because giant bump makes everything else look smaller, but hey, I will grab their compliments and run with both hands! Grin Grin Grin

Sultanajo · 22/11/2013 10:28

Sultanajo · 22/11/2013 10:31

book glad all is ok! That is really interesting you are only feeling a quarter of the movements....Dont worry about being known as the crazy lady. Only a few more weeks to go, so make the most of your crazy! Wink

Sultanajo · 22/11/2013 10:33

humpty yay for mouse portion of lasagne and working from home! Definitely the best place for you! Bubs will have grabbed all the nutrients and will be having a great time at your expense!,Wink

fryingpantoface · 22/11/2013 10:34

Sultana - I got a large and it really is large. It's not suitable for the TD, but i did it anyway and it shrunk a bit, which is fine because i'm 5'4 anyway

I'm on the rage today. I cried over the photocopier (i'm an idiot who kept photocopying blank paper)

flowers meant to say sorry about your public meltdown. I have only managed to avoid that by working from home, but have had a few over the phone meltdowns (using the secrecy button on my phone) and have only once been caught out - thankfully not by my boss, but still felt like a total tit!,Blush

frizz arghhhh, just when things were starting to look up! How frustrating! Deep breaths and defo make your boss aware of the situation....Biscuit

Sultanajo · 22/11/2013 10:42

enjoying! Grin Been there, done that, got the T-shirt! Its always sneezing that gets me! Will be buggered if I get a cold!!! Blush

Sultanajo · 22/11/2013 10:46

choco that sounds properly hideous! You poor thing! Really hope they give u answers and sort you out quickly. As u say, silver lining - birth will be a breeze in comparison. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Sultanajo · 22/11/2013 10:52

frying am 5 4 too so that bodes well.

Hope you gave the photocopier a good kick for making you look like a tit and have a meltdown! Grin

felix at least you actually managed to find your soy sauce at the supermarket. Twice now I have tried to find feckin worcester sauce in Asda! Supermarket rage, plus pregnarage combined with "notbeingabletofindsomethingrage" did not a happy sultana make! On the third occassion I sent DH. He even asked an assistant and they still couldnt find it! FFS!!!

Felix90 · 22/11/2013 10:59

Thank you for the welcomes again! I wish I'd found this place a long time ago. I'm totally addicted already.

Sultanajo I have the same issue with popcorn kernels. It's actually the bane of my life. The amount of times I've trailed round after a shop assistant who has no idea what I'm going on about is ridiculous. I don't know where abouts you are located but if you can get hold of it, Hendersons relish is a good substitute for Worcester sauce. Not sure if it's just a Yorkshire thing though...
