Hello!

So I'm actually due around 27th July but I went two weeks overdue with my first so I'm pretty sure this will be an August baby Smile

Is there anyone else who is newly pregnant and would like to join me?

Early scan this morning. So so scared that there will be nothing there. And I'm out of tests too.
Will update later.

Allypallyjelly · 02/12/2013 07:12

Good luck tallulah fingers crossed xx

2beornot · 02/12/2013 07:13

Good luck Talulah. Hope it's all ok.

I'm going to doctors this morning. I'm only 5w today but as I'm rather large i need a prescription for the 5mg folic acid. Really hope she doesn't weigh me again and just uses weight from last time coz I was borderline for not being able to give birth at MLU, and now I know they won't let me.

DinkyMole · 02/12/2013 07:15

Fingers crossed for you Tallulah.

PinaColadas · 02/12/2013 07:34

Good luck Tallulah

HungryHorace · 02/12/2013 08:00

Good luck Tallulah.

GillyMac93 · 02/12/2013 08:23

Good luck talulah Smile

DinkyFrinkbuster · 02/12/2013 08:46

Good luck T - we'll be here with Brew and Cake later.

2beornot · 02/12/2013 09:06

Right, so who has the correct response for why they are not drinking? I'm am so going to be outed by Christmas at this rate. I went out Saturday and didn't drink, plus am out with same group next Saturday too!

Also I'm no good at lying so if someone asks me outright I won't want to say no (also I don't want to wish pregnancy away). I'm thinking the response to that is "don't ask me that. With my history, even if I were pregnant I wouldn't want to say. And if not you've just reminded me that I'm still not pregnant". Does that sound ok or a bit rude?!

Hollyjokes · 02/12/2013 09:41

Good luck Talulah, keeping everything crossed for you x

Sounds fine to me 2be - I'm sure the person in question and anyone who overhears won't ask again Smile Rather than just not drinking, can you make it look as if you are? Pretend there's vodka in your coke, pretend there's gin in your lime & soda? Pour your becks blue or non alcoholic kopparberg into a glass at the bar so everyone thinks it's the real thing?

I'm really worried about my weight this time too. I still haven't lost all of my baby weight from last time and am starting this pregnancy more than a stone heavier than my last one. It might not sound like much but I'm a bit of a short arse so this puts my bmi at something like 32, which is classed as obese Confused

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 02/12/2013 09:57

Holly, I'm in the same situation re weight. God knows what my BMI is right now. That'll be a nice 'surprise' at booking in! I'm sure they can refer to Slimming World up here who cater for pregnant women, so if I can get that I will.

2be, I agree that that's a good response. Hopefully it'll stop people asking if they think they're upsetting you.

I'm barely drinking since having DD so it's easy to just not bother without anyone getting suspicious!

Hollyjokes · 02/12/2013 10:26

I'm scared that I'm going to be even heavier at booking in as the only things I'm able to stomach right now are chips, bread and biscuits!

GillyMac93 · 02/12/2013 10:27

Just phoned and got booking appointment , I'm only six weeks going by cb digital ! She kept asking when my last period was and told her the last one I remember was end of September/early October ! Which dates me at ten weeks , I'm such an idiot I have no idea when I had my period that's the last one I. Remember. A digital test can't be wrong ! Embarrassed to go now !

Ruggle · 02/12/2013 11:38

Well, if all goes to plan I'll have a due date of 14 August. I'm 39 and this will be DC1!! I have a 5 year old step daughter, and she'd very very much love a sibling.

talulahbelle · 02/12/2013 11:54

Phew! Scan Ok, confirmed my dates and we saw a heartbeat. And because of past problems and losses I get another scan in two weeks at 8+2.
More tonight, got to get to work now.

Hollyjokes · 02/12/2013 11:57

Aw Gilly don't be embarrassed! I bet this sort of thing happens all the time Smile

Ruggle I really hope that everything goes well for you x

Yey talulah!!!

DinkyMole · 02/12/2013 12:12

The dates on CB digis aren't that accurate Gilly. I'm sure they have lots of ladies who aren't quite sure when they last had a period.

Ruggle, congrats!

Tallulah, what a relief Smile So pleased for you.

5+3 here - symptoms on and off but manageable. Scan two weeks today - so excited about that. Getting all Christmassy at home. It's the first Christmas living with DF so I'm really looking forward to it Smile

HungryHorace · 02/12/2013 12:17

I self-referred this morning and am waiting for my appointment now.

I'm causing mayhem too as my last proper AF was 10th October. I had 7 days of spotting from 2nd November, but not a period as such. But I had a positive OPK on 20th November and the digi dates me as 3-4 weeks' pregnant.

I'll see what date they're basing it on when my appointment / scan dates appear in the post!

Ruggles, same date as me. I bet you're so excited!

HungryHorace · 02/12/2013 12:19

That's excellent news, Tallulah. Hope you can concentrate at work!

Shakshuka · 02/12/2013 12:36

Yay talulah, that's fab!

Things here look a bit better. I did a test this morning and was a bit despondent because the line seemed lighter again. I fished out an old test from the bin (yuk!) and, yep, lighter. So I left them on the lid of the bathroom because dd needed me. When I got back 10 minutes later, the line was most definitely darker than the old one! I was so pleased!!

Hollyjokes · 02/12/2013 12:43

Talulah that's brilliant news! So pleased for you Smile
