Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LadyGoneGaga · 10/11/2013 10:44

Super, I'd say the actual date can only be, at most, 3 or 4 days post DTD, or you wouldn't be pregnant. Some people say 5 days but that would be really, really unusual. I thought we would have missed this month as was 3 days pre-ov but we did catch it! 1-2 days is most common.

MarlenaGru · 10/11/2013 10:47

To be honest the earlier they date me the happier I will be. I was 9 days late by their calculations last time but only 4 by mine. They wanted to induce me two days later but I desperately want a home birth this time so anything that might help that would be good!

CleverOl10 · 10/11/2013 11:03

I'll be honest, when I finally get my scan, if they tell me I'm not as far on as I think I am I'll probably cry! Counting down every day of this first trimester, desperate for my energy to come back.

MyNameIsWinkly · 10/11/2013 11:31

Morning everyone. Sorry to hijack, posted this in pregnancy but asking here for opinions:

sorry for the TMI, but I was up most of the night with diarrhoea. My stomach was, and still is, painful and tender to the touch. I can't face the idea of food, which isn't like me! Is this normal, or should I be concerned?

CleverOl10 · 10/11/2013 12:10

Not really sure Wink but what did you eat for dinner? I've been like that a couple of times after eating takeaway or fast food especially Chinese food since I've been pregnant.

MyNameIsWinkly · 10/11/2013 12:14

I had pasta and tomato sauce, same as DH, and he's absolutely fine, though he does have a stomach of steel, the lucky sod.

cheesysmile · 10/11/2013 13:14

Can't imagine much could go wrong with pasta and tomato sauce winkly. I know others have had a bit of a dodgy tummy on here or you could just be unlucky and have picked up a bug. Have you had cramps at all? If you're worried give your midwife a call in the morning maybe, im sure they'll be able to reassure you.

LadyGoneGaga · 10/11/2013 13:40

Sounds like a bug to me, Winkly. Might be more viral rather than what you ate? Poor you. Being ill when pregnant makes it all even worse :-(

lgwilk · 10/11/2013 13:49

Hi ladies. Can I join you as we'll please? I'm 10+1 today due June 7th. Morning sickness is kicking my butt, can't wait for it to go away. Hope you're all doing ok x

wispaxmas · 10/11/2013 14:36

Hello to the newbies! I'll update the list when I'm not on the iPad, unless anyone else wants to...? (Feel free to add yourselves, too newbies!)

winkly, I don't know, but if it continues I would call your GP. If you get severely dehydrated it can be very bad for baby. They might be able to give you something to help if it becomes an ongoing problem. I had a bit of diarrhea earlier but it's gone completely the other way now, right about when I switched my pregnancy vitamins to pregnacare actually.

H and I had a lovely time at the wedding last night, though we left at half nine, which is completely unlike us. I was just SO knackered.

We stopped in at bluewater on the way home to see a movie and popped into mother are to test out prams Grin obviously too early to be buying anything, but I wanted to actually test out a few. I came away with the confirmed desire for a bugaboo buffalo. The other all terrain ones they had all felt like they were flimsy in comparison. Am very very excited about it, now Smile

MTMD · 10/11/2013 15:30

I got up determined to do something useful around the house but started feeling sick and dizzy after 5 min of vacuuming. So back to bed which is the only place I don't feel like I'm suffering from terrible motion sickness... Hope I can make it to work tomorrow..

CleverOl10 · 10/11/2013 15:44

Know how you feel MTMD. Still in pjs on sofa. DH done everything today, including taking DS to the supermarket to give me a break. I hung the washing out and had to sit down. So fed up of no energy plus nausea. I feel like I'm spending every minute I'm not at work, I'm horizontal trying to get back my energy. Sad

LadyGoneGaga · 10/11/2013 15:59

From experience, Wispa, John Lewis do by far the best pushchair demo's. If anyone is short of an afternoons entertainment!

First run for a week today. And was very short but I am so proud as is the first time my 5 year old has run with me. We just did a couple of very muddy miles around the woods with some walk breaks but he was sooo proud of himself, bless him. Grin

Wish me luck as got an early scan tomorrow morning.

superlambanana · 10/11/2013 16:15

I made it out the house! Considering I've been in bed since Wednesday this is a big achievement. Only problem is now I'm stressed about going back to work (assuming I can make it in, because walking to the end of the road and back isn't quite the same as an hour's commute) because every time I'm off ill my anxiety kicks in and I stress about being behind on stuff. I know when I go back, whenever that is, I'll be so stressed with everything I've got to catch up on Sad

Mtmd and Clever I hope you're feeling better! Well done on your run Lady, and good luck with the scan.

Poetshild · 10/11/2013 16:18

Hi! It's my first time on Mumsnet. I'm 10+ just now. The midwife calculated me as due on 28th of May but online calculators are suggesting the 5th of June as my cycle is normally 32 days. I suppose I'll know more when I go for my scan on the 21st. Can I hang out here until then?

jaykay987 · 10/11/2013 16:33

poet - welcome! Many of us have the same problem. My early scan actually put me 12 days behind my lll (which isn't a surprise as I have long cycles too)

super - what an achievement! my tiredness is getting worse. I need a nap every 30nins In awake. Tomorrow is going to be hard work!

lady - good luck for your scan!

jaykay987 · 10/11/2013 16:33

lll=lmp

Poetshild · 10/11/2013 16:48

Thanks for calrifying, jaykay! And thank you for the welcome. It's nice to be part of a positive thread where I can try to stop worrying about mc!

wispaxmas · 10/11/2013 16:50

Poet, of course you can hang out here! When you're right at the beginning or end of a month, there's no real telling which one the baby will come in. If mine is early by 5 days I could be May, too, though chances aren't good of that happening Smile

I might have to check out John Lewis later this week.. I'm planning another outing to bluewater sometime this week anyway, as I need to find a secret Santa present for someone so I can post it before I go back to Paris. And it's an excuse to have a Starbucks Christmas drink and buy a bottle if gingerbread syrup Grin

ohcluttergotme · 10/11/2013 17:05

Sounds like lots of positive days even if it is just tiny steps.
Myself and dh did a 120 mile road trip to drop our munchkins off at dsil. Bit of a journey but oh so worth it.
Dh watching footie and catching up with Downton, no children to disturb the peace.
My dsil is 7 months pregnant so only hope my lively boy not too much for her.
I'm due back to work tomorrow after a week and a half off. I still feel awful but really stressing about being off and not sure what is worse. Feeling awful in work or stressed that I'm not there?
Wishing everyone well with scans and dating, all very exciting.
As a treat we're going to get an Indian tonight but part of me doesn't know if my digestive system is as up for this as my greedy tummy!!

BEEwitched · 10/11/2013 17:20

Hiya! Yay, found you!!!!

We've been moving house all day, and to be honest the last three days I have just spent alternatively napping and heaving. Only got about 1/3 of the stuff moved that I'd hoped to move, but DH and I had to do it by ourselves and I can't really lift stuff, only helped with the mattress.

Didn't need to cancel my NHS scan since it was in w8 and I wasn't getting a 12 week scan, so the private one has no bearing really on what NHS appointments I get.

Jessiebaba · 10/11/2013 17:43

Hi!

Just found out I'm pregnant on Friday (7w+2) Grin EDD is 27th June.

Not got my scan date yet but can't wait for it! Been feeling pretty awful for the past few days although I haven't actually been sick but feel like I'm going to be all the time & at the same time want to eat everything in sight!

So exciting that some of you have your 12w scans soon! Smile x

Poetshild · 10/11/2013 18:01

Thanks, wispa! I was thinking that even if my due date does end up being at the end of May, I'm likely to be late.

Hi Bee, good on you for getting 1/3rd moved. We moved when I was 6 weeks. I wasn't much use but fortunately FIL and BIL came up to help DH so we got most of it moved in a day. I was very good at directing, ha ha and I did a lot of unpacking. Is your new home bigger? Ours is but we had to move regardless as the landlord wanted the flat back.

Congratulations, Jessie! 27th June is my Mum's birthday.

cheesysmile · 10/11/2013 18:28

Welcome to the newbies Smile lgwilk I'm 10+1 today too!

Well done on the move bee, its difficult when you know you shouldn't be lifting anything too heavy isn't it. My parents helped us move and like Poet I did a lot of directing and unpacking! I kept wanting to do more but my mum was having none of it, bless her.

WifeofGru · 10/11/2013 18:36

Checking in. Don't want to speak too soon but this is the first day in a long time I don't look deathly pale. Even had a sip of a cappuccino. clutter I had a lovely lamb rogan josh during the week with rice and naan. It was amazing. hope your Indian is good!
