Magpie78 · 09/11/2013 20:28

Hello ladies! 11 weeks tomorrow, will have a lime?? Have my second appt with midwife Tuesday then 12 week scan the week after. Have just demolished a dominos.....nom

ohcluttergotme · 09/11/2013 20:41

I watched The Lion King with my little boy this afternoon. I've decided I don't like that film anymore, it's too sad! Hmm

CleverOl10 · 09/11/2013 20:43

Totally sobbed at the John Lewis advert. DH laughing at me!

littlepickly · 09/11/2013 21:07

Penguin I think I cry at Strictly every week - maybe even when not pg BlushGrin

I'm doing the hair band trick already on my jeans - didn't help that DH told me my jeans looked really uncomfortable when I squeezed them on the other day - the cheek!!

No scan date here yet but have booking in on weds, so hopefully will have a date soon.

Have felt quite rough today - achey sooo tired and just generally rubbish despite 9 hours sleep last night - am 9+2 so hoping that this passes soon but tiredness feels like it's getting worse!

hackneybird · 09/11/2013 21:08

Another one here that has spent the day either on the sofa or in bed. Poor DH, he is doing EVERYTHING. I gave DS his bath and made a meatloaf for tea tomorrow night, and that is the sum total of my contribution to the household chores today. The place is an utter tip.

Also having vivid dreams, some of them are very fruity as well. Blush

seatfor5 · 09/11/2013 22:05

Dh took DS1 & DS3 to his Mums for the day so i only had to look after DS2 who kind of looks after himself bless him!

after watching loads of videos on youtube with the intelligender test I have gone and bought one Grin here should be a bit of fun for me and the DCs lol!

MarlenaGru · 09/11/2013 22:08

hackney I have done absolutely nothing today except put on and hang 3 loads of washing. Another waiting to be hung but can't be arsed. Oh and I did walk to get a friend a birthday present as she is coming for lunch tomorrow...
Dh has cooked us food all day and put DD to bed. Although to be fair I do it all week so it is nice to be able to do nothing for a few hours. I am so looking forward to WFH on Tuesday for my Booking in appointment which means no commute - woohoo!

I really hate the system of just allocating appointments. 11:30 means I can't really go to work. I do enjoy not having to go in but it isn't as easy to work at home and it does mean that I get the guilt for not pulling my weight, especially as nobody knows at the moment.

superlambanana · 09/11/2013 22:12

I feel bad - I've done absolutely nothing today! To be fair when I got up to go in the shower I was so ill I had to collapse back into bed again...

SicknSpan · 09/11/2013 22:15

Hello Carks and Gruffalow. Welcome to the June bugs.

My 12 week scan is on 20th as well Bezza and Gilly. Can't wait.

John Lewis ad made me cry too - proper tears running down my face sob fest! Dh thinking I was quite mad but cute at the same time, ran and got me tissues whilst pulling the "aww" face. [Hmm]

SicknSpan · 09/11/2013 22:23

Marlena that sounds like a busy day! I feel rather smug as today, for the first time in a month, I PUT MY MAKE UP ON. DH nearly fell off his chair, he didnt recognise me. It felt really good, I don't wear masses but I felt a bit more like me than the grey vomity blob I have been recently.

Super are you taking any meds? Can't remember if you were prescribed anything for sickness.

superlambanana · 09/11/2013 22:29

Yes, cylizine, but it's not doing anything so far Sad

Cherryjellybean · 09/11/2013 22:37

Super Those tablets didnt work for me in my last pregnancy and i ended up dehydrated in hospital :( Its worth asking for something else to try.

Bezzabelle · 09/11/2013 22:53

Evening all, I woke up this morning not feeling as sick as normal and thought the acupuncture must have worked miracles. However, still did not manage to get dressed although did have a bath and finally shaved my legs....thought I may need to get the lawn mower out the shed!! I also sorted through some maternity clothes to see what I had from ds which did me in and then had a three hour nap. Only been sick once today but nausea still crippling at times.

For those suffering with nausea and fatigue, have you tried B6?

rainbowweaver · 10/11/2013 02:59

hackney snap on the fruity dreams. In fact had them my first pregnancy as well. Grin

GillyBillyWilly · 10/11/2013 07:58

Im a bit worried cos by my calculations I will be 11+2 at my scan which people seem to think is too early for the nuchal fold test.
Some people saying I might have to go back a week or so later for them to scan again and do the test.

Obviously I'm happy to have a slightly earlier scan as I'm desperate to see the baby but it would be annoying to have to go back a week later!

Well I suppose maybe id get 2 scans so that's kinda good Grin

jaykay987 · 10/11/2013 08:05

Gilly - that's a difficult one.

At my early scan they put me three days behind even my most pessimistic (i.e late) dates.
The woman said I could easily implant three days after ov. I didnt realise this affected dating. I was noting from estimated ov date, not estimated implantation date.

Or I guess my minuscule measurements might be out a little.

So all Im saying is, if you are counting from ov dates....you also might be a day or two behind where you think you are, which could mean you're 10+6 for example which would be really early or nuchal scan.

Perhaps call your mw or hospital and see what they say? Although I understand you not wanting to out it off so you can see your little bubs ASAP!

jaykay987 · 10/11/2013 08:07

Excuse the spellings or for. out put

MarlenaGru · 10/11/2013 08:29

I am dating a week earlier than I thought which is also from late implantation apparently. I have very regular 30 day cycles so didn't think I could be a week out but it is possible.

Did you test positive on the day AF was due? That might be a good indicator of whether or not your implantation was late. I only tested positive two or three days later.

I will be 11+3 at my scan based on the early dating scan so I hope things will be visible. I do kind of think it is their own fault for not asking when an appointment suits you (or is more sensible) I hate the random allocation of appointments!

GillyBillyWilly · 10/11/2013 08:39

Jaykay I've already told the midwife... And my doctor... And the lady at the hospital when she called me and gave me my scan date! They don't seem to think it matters... They are going off my LMP which would make me 12+3 at my scan but I know I always had 35 day cycles (not 28) and I know when I ovulated.
Ah well... I will go to the scan and if I have to go back, I have to go back!

OP posts:
GillyBillyWilly · 10/11/2013 08:43

I had a very strong positive (on a FRER) at 13dpo... So actually 1-2 days before AF was due.

I also did a clearblue digi at 14dpo and it said 2-3 weeks. So I think I implanted pretty quickly!

DH and I actually only dtd twice that cycle (within 48 hours!) as he was working away and I was on nightshifts for a lot of the month so it's not like I could've ovulated earlier and have my dates mixed up!

I got a positive OPK and we dtd twice... And that was that!!! Grin

Then sounds like you should be ok gilly
When I had my DD I knew exactly when she was conceived but no idea with this one, not that it matters.
Crazy mil likes to tell everyone she was conceived in Italy (she wasn't) and given my Dsis shared a room with us she gets very annoyed with mil!

Bumblebeesmum · 10/11/2013 09:08

Oops was ranting away on wrong thread! :)

Just posted this....
Was in London for work & feeling a bit sick on train. A heavily pregnant lady with a baby on board badge got on the tube & I hoped someone would give her a seat (I remember what it was like being heavily pregnant & even 2 mins standing was horrible when it was me) - I looked around - people had definitely noticed her but no one was going to move - so as noone else was going to - I gave her my seat. People really are quite selfish some times!!
Rant over

Been away for a little while and didn't expect to have 38 pages of comments to skim through & a new thread haha my goodness there are a lot of us!!!

jaykay987 · 10/11/2013 09:11

Hehe....If my midwife/hospital etc insist on going my lmp they'll have a shock! Using lmp....Im 8w tomorrow. According to my early scan I'll be 6+2 tomorrow! Quite a difference!

Gilly - I think you'll be fine then given you've told everyone just make sure if they do date you quite early you insist on coming back to have your measurements done (if you plan on having a nuchal). Id be very annoyed if they did all the measurements too early as they might come to the wrong conclusion. Definitely stand your ground.

LadyGoneGaga · 10/11/2013 09:30

Gilly they can do nuchal test between 11+2 and 14+1. But they will do your dating scan at same time and will just bring you back later if it turns out you're actually a few days earlier on than thought. They won't just do it!

Dating scans are only really accurate to +/- 3 days either way (in first tri) anyway. In my first pregnancy I had a private scan and NHS scan a few days apart. One gave due date as 19/5 and one as 22/5. So whilst we get massively hung up on it it's only ever an estimate and your baby is statistically very unlikely to come when it's "due" anyway.

Will be interesting to see what my scan saysd tomorrow - by LMP would be 8 weeks, by ovulation from charting 7+1, by when we had sex, 7+4. But I think I implant early as in all my pregnancies, even when charting my due date has been moved forwards a few days. And I got a decent BFP on FRER at 10dpo this time round.

superlambanana · 10/11/2013 10:36

I have no idea how to even begin to work it out! I know the date we dtd +/- 2 days (I was ill that month and we were both knackered!!) but that's about it. No idea when I ovulated etc. Presumably this means I can't work out a more accurate date..?
