Heartburn, followed by insomnia, followed by a returning drunken boyfriend at 2am, followed by a 5.25am alarm, followed by an 11 & half hour day...

Thank heavens I get to work from the comfort of my sofa, it's gonna be a long old day.

ohcluttergotme · 15/11/2013 06:45

Will be 9 weeks tomorrow and tentatively feel my nausea is easing slightly! Starting to sleep a little better too Smile
Magpie, so sorry your having to deal with your partners selfish behaviour.
I agree in calling his bluff and letting him know you won't accept this behaviour.
Gin, very jealous of you getting to work from the sofa, although if that was me think if struggle to stay awake all day!
Hope everyone has a good day today.

livingzuid · 15/11/2013 07:01

magpie gosh I am sorry what a horrible thing to do to you. Don't stand for it. You need support not neglect. I hope you manage to resolve things.

My DH has been distant the last couple of weeks. I think he's struggling to cope with it all and we have a lot going on at the moment. But he always says he loves me and it's nothing to do with the pregnancy which he is very positive about. You can really tell that I haven't been up to housework the last couple of months there is laundry everywhere and his standards of cleaning are not up to mine :) but I know he's doing his best.

It's hard when they are a bit detached but what you are experiencing goes way beyond that.

GillyBillyWilly · 15/11/2013 07:12

Magpie im sorry you're going through this.
Today is a new day... What's he saying today? Any apologies?!

I'm so sorry Magpie what an awful situation to be in & being pregnant at the same time must make you all over the place. I'd really recommend you go to couples counselling - I know people who've gone & it isn't necessarily about staying together but working out what you both want and how that will work & - pregnancy can be a tough time for men aswell as women. Whatever you choose to do I hope you have people around to support you - we're certainly all thinking of you

Penguin13 · 15/11/2013 07:28

Magpie, what a horrible situation. I really hope things are looking better after a nights sleep. He's being so selfish and you and the baby don't deserve that. Hugs.

Get well hugs to you Nessie. Really hope you start to feel better soon, you've really been through the mill.

Happy Friday. ....now renamed SCANday!

Ha whoops. Stupid phone Blush.

MTMD · 15/11/2013 08:09

Really sorry Magpie I wonder if this might be delayed meltdown/freaking out on his behalf? Things will hopefully look brighter in the morning.. Good luck.

So I went from sleeping 10 hours to 4 tonight. Feeling terrible. Called work to say I'll be 2 hours late as hoping to catch up on some sleep but totally hopeless. And I have my performance review today and still need to prepare... It's going to be "fun".

As for mice I think we're going to try and block possible entry point with steel/copper wool (so upset builders didnt do as told!! i dont think we can reach all holes..,) and hide all food. Temped by plug in repellents but mixed reviews and.. are they really safe for tummy babies..?

GillyBillyWilly · 15/11/2013 08:10

WISPA! Today's the day! Good luck at your scan! Please let us know how it goes as soon as possible!!! Smile

Vickyvix · 15/11/2013 08:37

Good luck wispa - can you post us a pic later??? Grin

MarlenaGru · 15/11/2013 08:41

Good luck today wispa
Hope all is ok today magpie lots of sound advice above.

I feel less sick today which is now freaking me out. 3 weeks and 3 days til scan. 8 weeks today by early scan date. And I was another who couldn't sleep last night. Awake for a wee at stupid o'clock and so I stayed until the alarm at 6:30.

superlambanana · 15/11/2013 08:54

Good luck wispa Smile
Hope things are better today magpie.
Sorry for all the ladies with sleep issues :( I'm not having them as such but I am waking up in the middle of the night which never usually happens.

Still in bed... Seems the hiatus from sickness was fairly brief as I'm already retching. Feel SO bad about work :(

MarlenaGru · 15/11/2013 08:55

Oh rubbish super
Hope it passes with some rest!

GillyBillyWilly · 15/11/2013 08:57

And ladies who have their scan next Wednesday... Only 5 days to go! And it's the weekend.. Almost! Smile
We're nearly there! Grin

Thanks, everyone! I'm still lying in bed as H is out walking Wispa, but I know I need to get up and drink a pint of squash shortly!

I will definitely come on ASAP and try to post a photo. Will do my best to crop out my name this time!

wendle70 · 15/11/2013 09:13

Hi ladies I am in the April thread but I thought I'd pop by to let you know that the morning sickness DOES ease up! I know I needed the positive stories in my first trimester! I really thought I'd be one of those unlucky ladies who have it all the way through pregnancy! I had it so badly and was just so sick and nauseous all the time...it completely took over and I felt like utter rubbish and not at all myself. I barely cracked a joke for 2 months as I felt so sick! But at 15 weeks and after a holiday it got better and at magic 16 week Mark almost gone. Now 17 weeks and feeling normal again! I remember at 13 weeks thinking I cannot do this for another 3 weeks but day by day you do and then it goes! Ps no magic remedies I don't think other than getting hungry or tired made it worse.. good luck!

GillyBillyWilly · 15/11/2013 09:14

Wispa have you and your husband both got the day off work or are you going to work after?

Ugh. Got up, thinking I'd feel better after eating something. Made it as far as the bathroom. I really wish this ms would DO ONE!!!! (Without there being anything wrong with the baby of course)
