wispaxmas · 12/11/2013 18:10

I've put on 2kg, but I started off 10kg overweight, so I really shouldn't be gaining anything until 2nd tri!

CleverOl10 · 12/11/2013 18:11

Yay after a rubbish day I got my scan date in the post! 3rd Dec - I'll be 12+6 so an extra week to wait but just glad that I got a date to count down towards at last!

Back on the sofa now after a long day, almost sobbing at the big pile of work still to do. Can't see how to cut down the load to make life easier unfortunately so will have to keep plodding on....

livingzuid · 12/11/2013 18:25

Wow why did I not think of gap! Going to have a look now.

Bezzabelle · 12/11/2013 18:25

Welcome living- come on over to the sick thread....it's been so helpful for me to moan on!

Cheesy, I lost 7 pounds in week 8 due to the sickness but now it's under better control, that's all gone back on again. I put on 3 stone with ds even though I lost 10 pounds in first tri due to hg then. I think everyone is different and I'm not going to worry to much this time as it all came off last time within a few months- bf helps!

ohcluttergotme · 12/11/2013 18:50

I bought maternity wear at the weekend as nothing fitted and was making me feel down. Was so comfy in work today. Told my manager today, was a real relief and she was so lovely. Well done on all positive scans and booking in appointments.
Sorry for those who still feel awful.
I still feel nauseous all day long but not as intense as last week, hopefully this is not just an illusion Smile

SicknSpan · 12/11/2013 18:59

Lost 18lbs here. Sickness rampant. But then I am four a couple of stone overweight anyway. Was 1/2 stone lighter when I had ds1 than when I got pg with him- had lost 2.5 stone at 1 point- being pg does my bmi good Hmm. Put 1 stone on with ds2 as I had a break from the hyperemesis in the middle which allowed me to eat like fury to make up for lost time!

Magpie78 · 12/11/2013 19:25

Do hope you feel better soon.

GinandStripes · 12/11/2013 19:29

I've put on about 6lbs, but I know that's from lack of exercise which I'm hoping will improve in the 2nd.

I have grand plans for swimming and yoga and fingers crossed running.

So I'm not worried. Yet.

GillyBillyWilly · 12/11/2013 19:51

OMG I feel so rough Sad
Been feeling bunged up for a few days but now I think I have some kind of throat infection too!!!!!!!!!!!!
Going to call my dr first thing.

Re:weight gain... I've definitely gained but too scared of the scales as I had already gained a bit of weight this year anyway and was about to embark on a diet when I got my bfp... So... I don't want to know how much I've gained cos I will just feel annoyed with myself!

SicknSpan · 12/11/2013 20:16

Ooh yes gin give us some clues!

thegruffalow · 12/11/2013 20:34

hi all- still getting used to posting here (the format is ...interesting :] )

im on week 9, day 1 and i've been nauseated every night since week 7, day time seems ok- im just forever tired. im sometimes hoping i can sleep it all off and wake up on my 2nd trimester.

i also got my 2nd scan already for the 17th of January. x

Vickyvix · 12/11/2013 20:35

Glad the midwife appointments went well marlena and magpie, I have my booking in appointment on Friday, can't wait.

wispa i'm totally with you on the maternity jeans, my skinnies were getting too snug around the waist but I got some topshop skinnies with the soft band at the front, they are so so comfy and best of all do not cut me in half when I sit down!!

Also struggling with the five a day, if it's not crisps or biscuits or skittles :/ I'm struggling to eat it!

jaykay987 · 12/11/2013 20:41

Five a day? Im currently struggling to hit two a day. If its not yellow/beige, vegetarian or beer.....I don't want it! (Very odd)

Vickyvix · 12/11/2013 20:51

Ha ha yep, when I said fi was struggling with 5 a day, I mean really struggling to get past about one or two!

Today I have had a bagel for brekkie, a sandwich and crisps for lunch and pasta and pesto for dinner - all mostly beige! Maybe pesto counts as one of my five a day?? Oh dear!

MarlenaGru · 12/11/2013 21:00

I had onions on my pizza this evening...
Good luck for Friday vicky. It feels loads more real after booking in.

Tronbear · 12/11/2013 21:09

Evening.

Thanks for the welcomes. My breast lumps (they found several!) turned out to be harmless cysts. Such a relief.

I know what you are saying about getting your 5-a-day. I am usually on about 7-10 a day as a vegetable loving vegetarian. I can barely make it to two at the moment. And I had plans for such a healthy pregnancy! The nausea means I can only seem to stomach certain things, but these things change EVERY DAY! Madness.

The tiredness doesn't seem quite so bad now though, thank god, it was nearly killing me.

Stacks · 12/11/2013 21:16

I had this for dinner tonight, good and stodgy and 4 of your 5 a day! cheesy pasta bake. I put half in the freezer for another day too, just before putting the cheese on top and sticking it on the oven.

Vickyvix · 12/11/2013 21:32

Great news tron :)

marlena I really hope you're right and Friday makes it all feel more real - I still feel like a bit of a fraud And need some more evidence that there is something in there! Has been a while since my early scan and am generally feeling ok so I need some reassurance from midwife that it's all real and happening!

Cheesy pasta bake sounds right up my street, thanks stacks I'm definitely going to need to conceal veg in tasty meals the thought of greens turns my stomach at the mo. fruit seems ok, I'm liking bananas!

superlambanana · 12/11/2013 21:36

I thought it was Emmazers who knows Gin? Or did I get hold of the wrong end of the stick?

Pizza... Another food I used to like! What I can eat changes daily too. Poor DH gave me pasta with a tomatoey sauce today because it was the only thing I could face the other day, but I was desperate for cheese sauce! Poor bloke.

jaykay987 · 12/11/2013 21:42

Thought so too super

Vicky A banana a day is obstacle for me at the moment. I both a large pot of crunchy peanut butter to spread on one (no idea where that thought came from) but Tesco forgot to deliver my bananas this week and I've been off sick from work (my usual banana source) so am desperate to try it! Smile. also found an amazing frozen banana sand receipe which looks like ice cream. can't wait to try that too!

GinandStripes · 12/11/2013 22:13

Gilly I did but you must've missed it. Smile I know Emmazers but now I also know thegruffalow but I'm yet to reveal myself to her in real life yet!

Bezzabelle · 12/11/2013 22:18

Does strawberry jelly count as one of my five a day??

GinandStripes · 12/11/2013 22:18

Bezza - 100 times yes!

Bezzabelle · 12/11/2013 22:23

Phew! That's been my lifesaver!
