Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Xavielli · 23/11/2013 14:55

17 weeks today. Feeling a few pokes and sweeps which is nice as I pretty much forget I'm pregnant most of the time.

Chip86 · 23/11/2013 15:08

mumtobe its my first,
i thought it was everything expanding but when i talked to my mum who came with us to see the scan she said the way the baby was moving on the scan what i was feeling was baby moving not stretching now I can tell the diffrence its so cool and reasuring

DH is very Envy i cant wait till he can feel it to do u know wen that is likley to be?

thistlelicker · 23/11/2013 15:13

I often feel a thudding in belly like a pulse I wonder if it's baby

Chip86 · 23/11/2013 15:53

Hi thistle it could be but if it is in tune with ur heart beat then it is your pulse, I know I can hear my pulse really clearly now its so strange, so exciting you can feel baby

Im so glad i can come on here and talk about baby i think every one I know is board now, but im soooo excited hehehe

mrsmummytobe · 23/11/2013 16:23

Thanks longtailedtit & chip. I've been feeling a few stretchy sort of aches around my lower abdomen. I just thought it was everything expanding but now having read your posts I'm starting to wonder if it was the baby moving!!

SicknSpan · 23/11/2013 16:44

Oh mumof2 I am envious! DH and I had tickets to last Friday at Birmingham NIA but because I have been so ill with hyperemesis (again! 3rd dc and 3rd time it's happened grr) there was no way I could go. Dh took took a friend instead and they had a fab time, Jared was on fire! Have a fantastic night.

moominleigh94 · 23/11/2013 18:02

I have a bump! Going to upload a picture to my profile now :) (complete with OH, giving a thumbs up Grin )

SharpLily · 23/11/2013 18:20

I think mine's had a growth spurt - my bump has exploded in the last 24 hours! I've felt quite strong stretching pains the last few days and now suddenly, today, I don't just look like I've eaten all the pies but have finished them off with the dog too! It's a pretty defined, round lump directly at the front rather than a splodge all over, and it's quite high.

FrightFlea · 23/11/2013 18:27

I've an anterior placenta this time round and can't feel anything yet. Could feel kicks with DD2 at 13 weeks when the placenta wasn't in the way.

I'm not too bothered though as the kicking used to keep me awake at night so I'm savouring my last good nights sleep for now.

Finished up breastfeeding DD2 two weeks ago and am delighted. It was getting very sore.

I've a sizeable bump now too. It gets in the way when I give DH a hug. Soon I'll be banging it into things. And catching crumbs on the top of it.

Xavielli · 23/11/2013 18:29

Hehe, great pic moomin! Just taken a pic of mine - looks huge due to no tummy muscles and being enormously fat.

HoneyMumandSon · 23/11/2013 18:51

Eek I'm useless at keeping up. Was much better last time round when all I had to do was go to work and didn't have a 1 year old to look after! Will try and read back through! Have we got a stats list?

loopylou52 · 23/11/2013 19:07

Randomm, I'm in a similar position in terms of my mum not being around, but to be honest I'm not sure my Dad really thinks about how things like this are particularly difficult without her, or if he is then he doesn't show it. I think the advice the others have given is good - to demonstrate this is good news he should be happy about. I think without my mum there to tell him my dad often doesn't seem to remember how to behave, which can be frustrating at times. Good luck with it!

mrsmummytobe · 23/11/2013 19:09

Great pic moomin! My bump has definitely got bigger and more rounded this weekend. Not sure it's obviously a bump though unless you know - could look like I've just eaten too many pies! I went for a bra fitting today & could not believe it but I've gone up 3 cup sizes!! I was a 34d before pregnancy & they fit me as a 34f!! And the lady said they are only going to get bigger! At this rate I'm quite scared what I'll look like by the end of my pregnancy!

LittleBairn · 23/11/2013 19:14

honey stats list is on the 3rd post.

moomin great bump photo.

I'm wondering if I'm feeling movements, like a sort ofa slow firm drag across my tummy that lasts a few seconds. I've felt it off and on now for a few days but hadn't realised it could be movements.
But it's high up not that far from belly button is that too high for 17+1?
Maybe is just tummy trouble. Blush

hamncheese · 23/11/2013 19:16

I'm 17 weeks. This is similar movement feelings to DS another anterior placenta. In my experience it only stopped DH feeling the kicks til later than usual, not me. I'd be like WHOA a big one! And he'd be all sad he couldn't feel a thing.

My boobs are reall annoying me. Tbh I preferred my nonexistent post bfing sacks hahaha

I know this is pretty wrong but... Is anyone else kind of eating what the heck they like, knowing they are putting more weight on than they should? I was a healthy weight pre preg so its not putting me at risk, just means I will have a little more to lose after, but hoping bfing will do that for me again. I eat healthily I mean, I'm just eating a lot!

LittleBairn · 23/11/2013 19:17

I'm estranged from my parents, it happened soon after I lost DS, it's strange to be doing this without her we had always been close up until tat point.

LittleBairn · 23/11/2013 19:23

ham today I've eaten a whole tub of Pringles to myself Blush so yes I'm eating whatever. It's all I've eaten all day but I'm going to have an Indian soon.

I do usually eat healthier and I'm eating more now I'm just listening to what my body needs and going ith it.
My weight is still the same as pre pregnancy but if I continue like this it won't last long. But I'll put in the hard work in afterwards to get in shape, I needed to loose weight Pre pregnacy anyway.

LittleBairn · 23/11/2013 19:25

mrsmummy I was a D Pre pregnacy I'm Currently an E but not for much longer. It's costing me a fortune in bras!

mrsmummytobe · 23/11/2013 20:04

Me too littlebairn, then we are going to have to get all new ones when we start needing nursing bras!

Ham, I've been eating so much too! Someone at work actually said to me "don't fall into the trap of eating for two!"

dobedobedo · 23/11/2013 22:07

ham I was like that with ds. Had the biggest appetite. This time though I have reflux so I can only eat small bits of food at a time. I'm overweight though so I'm hardly going to waste away!

I bought bigger bras a month ago but I need bigger ones again! God knows what size my boobs are now. Basket ball sized! Blush

Chip86 · 23/11/2013 22:10

Yes before being pregnant I could eat what i want and no one would say anything NOW its like everyone has the right to coment on what im eating and how its going to make me fat ahhhh
And i been told oh u will need mat clothes soon so I got some because i do need them then got told u dont need to buy loads ahhh
Moan over
Glad so many of you can fell little one moving around so exciting

randdom · 23/11/2013 22:33

I am still over half a stone down from where I was pre pregnancy. Not a huge problem yet as I slightly overweight.

My tummy seems to be getting bigger by the day. Am only 13 and a half weeks and due to being a bit bigger I wasn't expecting to be showing yet. Is getting tricky to hide...

Xavielli · 24/11/2013 01:00

My appetite is dying down thank god! I always put weight on in the 1st trimester as eating = not feeling so sick. I'm extremely overweight so hoping to be a bit more sensible to stop it ballooning even further.

I'm jealous of all your growing boobs, mine never do until my milk comes in after birth. They are super sensitive at the moment though.

thistlelicker · 24/11/2013 04:36

I'm taking cocodamol fort be pains that are coming from the
Nipple area!!! Hmm

LittleBairn · 24/11/2013 08:31

chip86 I can't stand that once your pregnant people feel the right to comment on everything and we are expected to be nice and polite and accept it. But I'm afraid it not gets worse once the babies are here.
It's time to practice resting bitch face look to scare the strangers away.
For family and friends a smile with "thank you but I don't need any advice if I do you will be the first person I ask" then quick change of subject is going to be my tactic.
