Mythree what a worry for you! It's never nice when something you are concerned about is actually voiced by someone else. I know that feeling of "I just need answers NOW!" Deep breaths and step away from google. The waiting is always the worst part and it's great you are being proactive and getting it checked quickly. We are here to HTH and be by your side through the testing and I will keep everything firmly crossed it's just an annoying stye. They can be really irritating.....
Frizz yay! That's awesome about your boss! Totally the right thing to say something - they generally tend to assume all is well unless you say something, so that's great she is now very much aware of things! Woop woop!
Frying get it off your chest and let rip! I very much have moments of "FFS" and then immediately feel terrible as I would go through hell and back to have this baby and for him to be healthy and well, but there are times it gets very wearing and I have shed the odd tear of frustration at feeling so pathetic, knackered, huge etc..... Let's face it, it's really hard work and I take my hat off to all of you being preggers AND looking after a toddler! It's bad enough having to work and be preggers....
Blue I thought the same as you about the link - my first instinct was "wow, that's cool" and my second was "I would never use it - wouldn't trust myself!"
MrsA the gaviscon (as gross as it is) has saved me! Honestly I feel like a new woman with it - I have a personality again and EVERYTHING! I still can't lie down and if I don't take it the heartburn is EVIL, but as long as I take it after every meal and before bed, it gets me through the worst, which is all I can ask. I would defo go to the docs and get it prescribed!!!
Toby I Absolutely HATE having workmen in the house! I am the same as you and just can't relax until they have gone and also sit around waiting for them, getting myself more and more worked up - they are nearly ALWAYS late! Plus, I then immediately need to pee when they arrive but don't feel I can go with them in the house, so by the time they leave I am practically wetting myself! Really hope yours has finally turned up. We are gonna need a plumber very shortly, so that will be down to me on mat leave - can't wait!!!
Nature great you have a scan to check on bubs. Can you mention the weight loss to the midwife? I would just mention it and make her aware just in case she feels there is anything significant in it. Can you account for it - as in have you been eating less recently? Poor you with your wrist - that sounds sore!
Well I changed the formation of my pillows and actually managed to sleep in the bed last night, until DH came to bed in the early hours and woke me up crashing the door shut. Then it took me ages to get back to sleep and then DH's alarm went off about 6 times this morning (his alarm goes off about an hour before mine). He hits the sleep button numerous time to get "bonus sleep" and then goes straight back to sleep. Meanwhile I lie awake for my last hour in bed because his bloody alarm keeps going off! His first question to me this morning was "how did you sleep?". He got an ear-full I can tell you about him and his frickin "bonus sleep". Seriously! Just set your alarm for the time you need to get up or 5 mins before! Grrrrr!
Well, when bubs is here, if his alarm goes off and he hits snooze and bubs is awake, I will pick bubs up and plonk him on DH so he can make himself useful! Perhaps that will teach him to set his alarm for the time he is actually due to get up? It's just a bit MEAN, especially when he knows how much trouble I am having sleeping at the moment.
Rant over - at least I slept! Should really be grateful for that! Must stop moaning about shit!
OK, so let's turn things around. 5 things I am grateful for - 1) a healthy (hopefully) baby squirming around inside me, 2) my last week of work, 3) that I am fully recovered from horrible bug from last week, 4) DH is lovely to me most of the time and I am very lucky to have him and 5) my OJ and lemondade!
