I have my booking in appointment today which is hopefully one step closer to knowing when I will get my scan.

Could do with something positive ms is rubbish at the moment :(

mumof2aimingfor4 · 29/10/2013 09:19

randdom I suffered with crippling nausea but when I got to 10 weeks its gradually tailed off each day. Now 10+5 and feel normal a majority of the day now. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

bluestone85 · 29/10/2013 09:21

Woo :) Love The Vampire Diaries Grin can't wait.

Good luck today Dobe, let us know how you get on xx

LittleBairn · 29/10/2013 10:30

mumof2 that sounds promising will put it on my list.

So not knowing where I might be poked and prodded by my consultant tomorrow I need to run out for some razor blades. Pregnacy is sooo glamorous.

mumof2aimingfor4 · 29/10/2013 10:43

littlebairn wait till you have to get your OH to help you shave, even more glam! ;) my belly gets so big I cant reach to my ankles when shaving without being a contortionist!

AliOh · 29/10/2013 10:52

mumof2 I love The Walking Dead - its not too scary, it is really really gory though but its got a great storyline - im a big fan of apocalypse/dystopian/zombie type stuff.

Also hooked on Homeland - still catching up on series 2 at the moment. Also Love/Hate - I do watch an awful lot of TV Blush

Also reading the Divergent series by Veronica Roth which I cannot put down! If anyone liked the Hunger Games you will love these and the film is out next year :) dont know where I find the time to do all this reading/TV watching haha saying that I spent three years working full-time whilst also studying full time at night school so when I finally graduated with my degree I didnt know what to do with all my free evenings and weekends!

Hope you start feeling better soon randdom

Squiffie · 29/10/2013 10:53

I quite like getting dh to do my legs Blush lounge in bath, stick leg up and let him do the hard work! Perfect, lol, and he does a better job than me Hmm

mumof2aimingfor4 · 29/10/2013 11:02

alioh I loved the hunger games books! I get annoyed when films are made from books though as they never do the book justice. I annoy OH as I rip most films to shreds.

I wish I could watch as much tv as you get to, never seems enough hours in the day though. Sounds like we have the same taste. Will order divergent series on pay day. Thank you for the recommendation.

AliOh · 29/10/2013 12:12

mumof2 I agree, DP was very embarrassed when we went to see the last Twilight film in the cinema and I muttered about how ridiculous it was most of the way through Blush

If you like that those type of books the Matched trilogy by Ally Condie is also good - not as good as the Divergent ones I thought but definitely worth a read :)

hamncheese · 29/10/2013 12:55

Hope the scan goes well dobe and happy cake day little xav

Well my life has been revelutionised by owning a car. I've driven for years and had my mums car for a while once but not since having DS. Got the car on odd days since having him but I'm loving being totally freeeee! This morning we went to Livingston shopping for my aunts birthday and DS ran around the centre and learned how to hold my hand and let me guide him while walking yay. Now he's napping but we are off out again to a friend I've not seen (who I was due in August 2012 with and met at nct, and we are now both due in may!) for ages due to my inability to get out! Woohoo!

LittleBairn · 29/10/2013 13:14

ham oh I miss Livingston for shopping, I used to live very near there until last year.
I don't drive (I refuse to learn I can't judge distance while moving ) but we have really good rail connections here so hopefully it won't be too much of an issue.

Did you feel like the NCT membership was worth it?
I've thought about it because I don't really know anyone local and family all love at a distance it would be nice to meet other mothers to be and hopefully make some little friends for the future.

Hendricks · 29/10/2013 14:56

Hi everyone,

Sorry I've been awol for a bit. Was away down to see my parents (and told my Mum) over half term and haven't quite managed to catch up with assorted threads up til now. Hopefully now I am up to date I'll try and post a bit more frequently.

Sorry to hear we've lost some people along the way. Hope if you do decide to TTC again it won' be long til you're back on the antenatal threads. Thanks

Nausea seems to be lifting, though I still seem to be avoiding fruit and veg/ anything with a reasonable nutritional value. I have however been mainlining stilton on tiger bread. Which is possibly contributing to the bloating. I also seem to have popped in the last couple of days. Keeping it under wraps until Christmas may be a bit of wishful thinking.

11+4

thistlelicker · 29/10/2013 15:04

Woooohooo been to ante natal clinic today and they impressed with diabetes business !

dobedobedo · 29/10/2013 15:22

All seems well, baby gave us a little wave and a back flip and it was quite emotional! Due date is now 9th May.

It's official now too. Twitter and Facebook know Smile

Hendricks · 29/10/2013 15:26

loopylou52 · 29/10/2013 15:36

Cupcake1985 · 29/10/2013 16:00

I had my booking appointment :) finally first pregnancy thing I've done! Went well my midwife is so nice. Now it's countdown to a scan date!

moominleigh94 · 29/10/2013 16:32

Fantastic news dobe

Well OH is suitably in the doghouse but I'm fairly sure nothing happened today and he has been reprimanded Wink uni went well and I'm trying out for university challenge next week! Should be interesting as my uni is very low-ranking and my parents call it Scumbag College Grin

Can just imagine my answer when it comes to the whole "what university do you go to and what are you reading?".

"Hi I'm and I'm reading Classics"
"Hi, I'm and I'm reading Geography"
"Hi, I'm Maddy and I'm reading The Tiger Who Came To Tea" Hmm
