Oh moomin - you really have had a rubbish day!! The people on your course sound so frustrating.

I thought your oh had taken on board what you said the other day. If it was me I'd be really upset with him that he hadn't taken on board what had been said. He could get out if it if he wanted to :-(. Hugs xxxx

mumof2 yes I have carried on doing some weight training but only really once a week and I've modified what I'm doing. Luckily we have a friend who is a personal trainer so he's helped. I used to do really heavy weights but I've taken the weight down and decreased the intensity so I'm not working so hard. You can do a lot of the usual stuff but just need to make sure the form is correct. Even though it's been hard dragging myself there I do feel more energetic after a session and it does make me feel better about myself - I have to eat loads in the daytime before I go though. Definitely couldn't go feeling hungry / sick! I'll try and keep going as long as I can.

I haven't been running though!

LongTailedTit · 28/10/2013 19:01

Moomin I agree with ^^ he needs to start listening to you - nothing like a baby to put strain on a relationship, you need to make sure you're both singing from the same hymn sheet ifswim well before MiniMoo gets here. If you find it hard now, it'll be so much harder when you're holding a newborn.
Like you said before, he would be massively unimpressed if you did the same thing - he needs to get a grip, and cancel his plans. You are a million times more important than this new friend of his. Brew

banana101 I was using the PinkPad app on my iPad to chart periods, CM, and a Clearblue ovulation thingy too, plus we only managed to DTD once (day of Ov) due to DHs working hours - I am absolutely cast-iron certain of my conception date! My cycle however wasn't quite back to regular after trying the Nexplanon implant, so my EDD could have been anywhere between 28thApr-5thMay, my current EDD of 3rd May makes perfect sense.
Definitely get them to listen and change it - you know more than they do in this instance!

mumof2aimingfor4 · 28/10/2013 19:03

hezbean I wont be running when I go back! Just going to do lighter weights and more reps. You sound like a training junkie like I was, I loved my biceps and triceps but they're disappearing! And my arse is going south!

moomin bitch slap that boy of yours! He needs to realise that you come first and not this little slag thats sniffing round him. He needs telling harshly blokes are too dopey sometimes for their own good.

LongTailedTit · 28/10/2013 19:05

PS meant to add - I'm 13+1 now and this was my first day without noticing any morning sickness! Yaaaaaaay!!
Might be cos I'm distracted by my horrid steaming cold, but hey, it's finally going, wooo hooooooo!

Minions · 28/10/2013 19:33

Just catching up with today's news. Really sorry lacey, I hope things work out well for you soon.

Congrats to those with happy news at their scans, hope the rest go well this week.

I noticing more headaches, think I had them before but didn't notice because I felt sick. I'm lucky though, not bad and not taking anything.

thistle the Sprout app is good :) £2.49, good pictures and you have your own pregnancy timeline. iPhone and iPad.

moomin the joys of group assignments! Sounds like a lot of immaturity. I know it's not fair but let the drifters float in and out and save yourself the stress. We did that at uni, a small group of us did the majority of work and got good grades shared by the whole group. I always reckoned it would work out in the end because they probably didn't work hard on anything for the course and one or two good marks wouldn't make a massive difference. Let them be and focus on you - too much to take accountability for them too :(

Have a restful evening everyone, Monday is done :)

loopylou52 · 28/10/2013 19:52

Hugs to moomin and everyone else who's been teary today.

thistle - I use the Babycentre app, which has some sort of nugget of information for each day and each week has a diagram of what the baby is like at this stage.

I've been through stages of having headaches I can't shift with paracetamol too.

McBaby · 28/10/2013 20:11

I hate pregnancy headaches so difficult to shift. Doable paracetamol seems to work much better for me than pills.

Getting a bit distressed that my SPD has already started :( currently have ice pack on front or pelvis and hot water bottle on the back. Physio apt is in 3 weeks. But SPD has kicked in a couple of months earlier than previous pregnancy. Worried it won't be long till I can't look after DD very well or walk.

SarahJinx · 28/10/2013 20:17

I've been getting headaches too, noticeably different feeling ones, another preg symptom I didn't have with DS1. Does anybody have an indication of how long Nuchal results take to come? I haven't announced yet (12+6) just a little spooked by bleeding and my great age this time! I also feel like I want to keep it to myself a little this time whereas last time I was all over the fuss, gawd knows why.

So sorry to hear your news Lacey, can't imagine. Hope you start to feel better physically at least, soon.

Minions · 28/10/2013 20:20

McBaby that sounds terrible :( I know there's a walk in physio clinic in Glasgow that you don't need appointments for. Not sure if there's one near you, maybe nhs website? Sorry you're in pain, hope you get help soon Thanks

bluestone85 · 28/10/2013 20:45

I had fish fingers, chips beans and sweetcorn. It was AMAZING! Hehehe x

moominleigh94 · 28/10/2013 21:05

Thanks everyone :)

I just can't be bothered with the hassle right now. Just going to let everything drift over my head (or try to at least). Really struggling with back and hip pain, it's agony to move especially late at night. Not sure if it might be SPD or if I'm being a wuss, but there's a history of spina bifida in the family - my mum has the mildest form, they think I may have a very mild form of that mild form so I was relieved to see a healthy spine on the baby :) so it could just be that.

loopylou52 · 28/10/2013 21:15

I think that's the right attitude moomin, re trying to just let it wash over you. I know it must be difficult when you want to do well and people are being idiots but it sounds like they all rely on you lots to sort them out, and you've got an actual baby to think about now rather than those 'adult' babies, so it's time they grew up a bit!

I'm still struggling with my back too and today it seems to have progressed so my whole right hip feels really stiff. I'm still assuming it's a recurrence of a problem I had last year which one physio appointment sorted out. Bit scared of SPD though! Hmm

banana101 · 28/10/2013 22:34

SarahJinx - For the Nuchal test, I was told that if the blood test was high risk, that I would be phoned within the week, otherwise I'd get a letter in a couple of weeks.

But I think it depends on your trust. Have heard that others can hear on the day!

Xavielli · 29/10/2013 05:54

Morning ladies. Just slept from 10pm-5.30am for the first time in weeks, guess I've entered that magical month when the baby moves out of my pelvis a little and I don't have to pee every 5 mins - shame it doesn't last longer.

My lovely little DS2 is 3 years old today :) time certainly does fly!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day Cake

wm3010 · 29/10/2013 06:20

Morning ladies, xav glad you had a better sleep. I did too, though wish I could have managed another hour. Seems to cruel to have insomnia just now when all we want to do is sleep!

Have a good day everyone x

dobedobedo · 29/10/2013 06:52

Happy birthday to your ds2 today xav!

I got bugger all sleep last night. I keep waking up at about 4am and then not falling asleep until five minutes before my alarm goes off.

Today I have my 12 week scan! I'm excited and petrified in equal measure.

Minions · 29/10/2013 07:07

Good luck dobe, let us know how you get on :)

mumof2aimingfor4 · 29/10/2013 07:11

Good morning all! :)

xav hope your son has a great birthday.

Crappy nights sleep here too, going to have a nap this afternoon, the vampire diaries is back on tonight. I cant fall asleep without my fix of Damon!

alioh was it you that recommended apple tv? I scrimped on it as my parents have virgin tv so I set up a series link for the originals on theirs instead.

mumof2aimingfor4 · 29/10/2013 07:12

dobe good luck today. Let us know how you get on.

LittleBairn · 29/10/2013 08:07

dobe good luck with the scan.

mumof2 I haven't tried Vamprire diaries yet, is it Anne Rice style Vampires or Twlight vampires?
I use Netflix for TV, I barely used it before but its sure getting used now I always tired or my mind needs distracting.

AliOh · 29/10/2013 08:08

Sorry to hear your new lacey big hugs and best wishes to you x

Congrats to everyone that has had good scan news :) and good luck for your scan today dobe have mine tomorrow - know what you mean about being both excited and petrified eeeekkkk

Made it a whole week without any hint of ms!! But am getting a lot of (manageable) headaches.

Finally got home from London about 9.30pm last night after lots of train delays etc but I did see bob geldof in paddington station which me and my mum got very excited about haha

Yes that was me mumof2 you won't be disappointed by the new series of TVD it's brilliant! Have lots of shows to catch up on after being away this weekend so I'm taking over the TV tonight :) TVD followed by The Walking Dead then whatever else I can manage before falling asleep :)

snoozysleeper · 29/10/2013 08:21

Good luck dobe

Happy birthday to little xav Cake

mumof2aimingfor4 · 29/10/2013 08:41

littlebairn its similar to twilight in the sense that they started off in high school now onto college. But its a much better plot, better characters (tasty ones, excuse the pun) and the lead girl is not pathetic like bella from twilight! I love anne rice books/film adaptations too so I don't think you'll be disappointed.

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 29/10/2013 08:44

Xav my dd1 is 3 today too, that means 3 years ago we were in labour together Halloween Grin were having a halloween theamed birthday party this afternoon and shes bouncing off the walls she's so excited!

I'm 12 weeks exactly today and feeling very nervous. My scan is on friday and I'm convinced its going to be a MMC (despite having seen the heart beat twice already!)

argh stupid laptop isnt playing and wont let me see posts Sad I'll be back later t
o finish reading, hope everyone is doing well and good luck for cscans today (there must be some, we're reaching that point!)

mumof2aimingfor4 · 29/10/2013 08:55
