Felt baby's first little pokes tonight :)

AliOh · 27/10/2013 06:08

Welcome back sarah great news on the scan!

Sounds scary mumof2 think my worst fear is fainting - take it easy!

rebecca 2 week in Bail sounds absolutely amazing - pure bliss :)

Wow Xavielli that's amazing!! Can't wait til I feel first movements :)

11+6 today!

hamncheese · 27/10/2013 06:58

How did those of us with existing dcs cope with the hour change? DS normally goes 7-6.30 kept him up an extra hour last night and he woke at 4.30 sounding up for the day but managed to give him milk and he's still sleeping now at 7 woohoo! Lazy lump he is!

Is anyone else on anti sickness medication? I am and don't feel sick all the time now but scared to try and come off them...

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 27/10/2013 07:02

Not great here either, they were awake late last night but were up at 5.30. Hoping tonight is better at getting them to bed (dd2 in big girl bed for the first time last night!) and hoping they sleep till 6.30

Ham just try one day without, if you feel really sick then you can take them half way through the day? just give it a go, how far along are you? your near me so 11/12 weeks right? it should be easing off now

Xavielli · 27/10/2013 07:12

hamandcheese if your sickness has required medication then sadly the chances are it will last longer than normal - I'd leave it til 15/16 weeks before any experimentation with coming off them. Glad they are working for you.

I can hear my lot banging about upstairs. I let the big two (8 and 7) stay up to watch the X Factor last night so they've made it a bit longer than usual. It's always them that wake the babies not the other way round. I really hope we find a bigger house soon :(

LittleBairn · 27/10/2013 08:00

ham server ms/hypermisser usually lasts much longer than normal ms, I'd give it a few more weeks. If the tablets stop working they can also give you injections.

sarah that sounds very similar to what I experienced at 7 and 8 weeks, I was very shocked I hadn't MC with the amount of blood I lost but 2 scans showed a bouncing blob with a heartbeat. I was diagnosed with a Placenta Hematoma. It could be something like that if your cervix is fine they just can't see it. Did they do an internal scan?
It frightened me too its hard to relax after such an experience.

moominleigh94 · 27/10/2013 08:05

Sorry to people still struggling with morning sickness. I'll be 14 weeks tomorrow and I think I'm safely on the other side of it now :) At the time it felt like it was never going to end though Sad

Hi Ladies

Can I join you? I've been lurking for a while but just had my 12 week scan yesterday (all well so far and I'm officially 11 + 4, EDD 13th May).

Just told parents and DD (age 5, who went supersonic with excitement).

Minions · 27/10/2013 08:19

Hello coke, welcome :) The more the merrier, there's loads of us!

Loving the extra hour in bed. Busy ol week and planning a hen weekend for next fri/sat so really appreciating the extra time! Had my first 'normal' day yesterday where I didn't feel sick and actually forgot I was pregnant at one point! For those still feeling rotten the end is in sight, it does get better Thanks

13+5

mumof2aimingfor4 · 27/10/2013 08:27

Welcome coke glad scan went well and that your dd is so excited. I had the same age gap between my dd's I think it was a perfect gap to leave as dd1 was so helpful and still is.

minions I know what you mean about starting to feel normal. Nausea has been easing off for the last few days and after 4 weeks of gagging at the thought of drinking tea (I was a tea monster) I woke up this morning fancying a cuppa! Hopefully turned a corner. Although part of me has panicked that something is wrong now :(

10+3

moominleigh94 · 27/10/2013 09:11

I thought cravings would disappear when morning sickness does... it's 9am and I'm heading downstairs to put some microchips in the microwave.

OP posts:
loopylou52 · 27/10/2013 09:32

Haha, love the morning microchips craving!

Welcome and congrats to coke. Sympathies to those with small children who were awake early today - I guess us first timers have got all this to come!

LittleBairn · 27/10/2013 09:35

Lol moomin I had a microchips craving a few weeks back, it was odd I hadn't eaten micro chips in over a decade until that point. In fact I don't even like chips!

CokeFan · 27/10/2013 09:37

Microchips sound lovely. We've got to go out and do some shopping in a bit so maybe I'll get some.

I haven't really had any morning sickness this time (was awful with DD). I've felt a bit iffy a couple of mornings but that's about it. Soooo tired though.

dobedobedo · 27/10/2013 10:10

Morning everyone. Sorry some of us are still feeling sick. Mine has definitely eased off, I'm down to puking once a day and having little periods throughout the day where I don't feel sick. But I still can't manage much food.
I'm at least 12 weeks now! Midwife reckons 14 but I can't be any less than 12 so I feel like today is a milestone Grin Scan in 2 days. I can't wait! Grin

Gotta bring ds to his dad's for a week today. I'll miss him. Sad

dobedobedo · 27/10/2013 11:06

Welcome coke! Brew

hamncheese · 27/10/2013 11:41

xavielli and littlebairn will do that. Probs the same as with DS was sick til 16 weeks. I feel a big difference in the last week or two (13 weeks now) I think its being less tired that's helping. Will keep on them for a few more weeks and the experiment.

cbeebies you are brave trying a new bed and the hour change... Or is it a two birds with one stone thing? What age is dd2? I can't imagine DS in a big bed, he travels all round the cot at night sleeping in a head stand and such haha. He will need to have moved over by a few months past may though!

Mmmmmmmicrochips. Also.. Fries to go.

Hi coke I loved coke (acola, not Caine) pre pregnancy but have gone of it like yo do tea and coffee.

Any nice plans today? We are taking DS swimming (feeling comfy about that now not so sick and starting to have a bump rather than just fat looking) and then I'm looking at a car. Spent all of yday trying to find one to buy but no luck. Today's looks good fingers crossed it drives well and gets my experience with cars dads approval!

Movetothesound · 27/10/2013 12:54

hi coke

CokeFan · 27/10/2013 13:15

Hi Everyone

I've also had to cut back on the diet coke - getting used to Vimto now. I'm taking DD to a birthday party this afternoon. Mmmm party food.

rebeccax2 · 27/10/2013 14:56

I've had the worst day so far. I'm ill and tired and I have so much to do before I fly out. I've been really sick and really tired. Feeling very sorry for myself. Fighting with my other half who hasn't the patience for me today it would seem :-(

LittleBairn · 27/10/2013 16:33

rebecca can you DP not do some of the things you need to do before your flight?

Xavielli · 27/10/2013 16:49

Poor you rebecca that sounds awful.

Just announced my pregnancy on Facebook, wish I hadn't bothered, some people are so rude :(

loopylou52 · 27/10/2013 17:00

Sorry to hear that Xavielli. Why are people being rude?!

Poor you rebecca. Sad Hope you feel better soon and have a lovely holiday.
