Babymamatobe · 15/11/2013 17:55

Hey ladies can I jump in?

Got my BFP on Wednesday and confirmed by my doctor this morning. Will be 4 weeks on Sunday! Trying not to get too excited until we have our scan, echoing the thoughts of some of you ladies, I'm worried about something going wrong.

Not many symptoms to report other than a bit tired, loss of appetite and a bit of a sore back, but I'll happily take every symptom if it means our little bean is growing healthily.

Hope you are all well :-)

coco808 · 15/11/2013 17:59

how are you now jaykay?

jaykay987 · 15/11/2013 19:01

Ok thanks coco.

Tiredness has got much better...Im now only moderately tired, rather than debilitating tired.

The sickness had ramped up though. I almost threw up three times I a meeting today (nice)! No idea how I can fake working for another 5weeks. I've used up all my "Im sick", "it's probably a bug" "just something Ive picked up on the train" excuses!

The worse the sickness, the more Im off food, but the only cure I have found so far is to eat. So trying to when I can face it.

You ok?

coco808 · 15/11/2013 19:20

oh jaykay you poor thing. I feel the same, don't fancy food but feel so much better when I am eating something.
People are watching me very closely at work and I think the gossip has started Sad wish they would leave me alone...

MrsA2 · 15/11/2013 19:21

Coco would you mind adding me too? I think I'm 3 July. Thanks.

Pearlsaplenty · 15/11/2013 19:55

choccy I'm so sorry to hear this. Take care of yourself :( Flowers

tanny I'm feeling bit like you in regards to trying to not let myself think of a 'baby'. Although i have been so very fortunate in the past, i conceived quickly both times, no m/c and already have one healthy ds. But with this pregnancy the clot in my uterus feels very much like a ticking bomb inside of me. Sometimes I pray that if I'm going to lose it that I lose it now while it is small and then I can just start over with a 'clean' uterus. I was getting very strong cramps a few days ago, close to contractions. No blood though. Since then I haven't had much cramping at all. Part of me wants to think that was was my clot reabsorbing, but the other part thinks maybe that was just the end. I go for my next scan in a week, I just have to wait till then.

liquidstate · 15/11/2013 19:55

I have managed to avoid going to work as can work from home. But its so hard as feel queasy all the time and vomiting about 5 times a day so have fallen behind. Will have to go into work next week. Foodwise am being really faddy which is annoying DH Grin

Am off to Brighton for the day tomorrow. Not sure how I will cope!

Pearlsaplenty · 15/11/2013 20:01

I am so tired. Not sleepy tired, just worn out tired. And I have been loving my sleep, wonderful dreams! Which is lovely as I never usually remember them.

Yes I have lost my appetite as well, particularly in the pm/evening but make sure I eat as much as I can stomach in the morning or I feel more nauseous. I have only been sick a few times though and fortunately I have been at home for this.

FoxtrotOscarBackToEconomy · 15/11/2013 20:16

Sorry choccy Sad look after yourself.

Welcome to the newcomers.

I'm absolutely shattered at the moment and can't ever face doing anything in the evening once DS is in bed. For those of you struggling with nausea I know how you feel particularly when st work. I'm finding that I need to eat little but often. Rule is no biscuits until afternoon. In the morning I have an apple.

I've got my first midwife appointment on 26th nov. scan is booked for 9th Dec but DH might have to go on a business trip that week so I might have to postpone it a week. Angry the scan place won't let me have it any earlier.

Hope you all can manage some relaxation time over the weekend. Smile

HomeIsWhereTheGinIs · 15/11/2013 20:30

Can I just ask for some advice from those of you that have done this before (I'm a newb!) please? I am having a private scan at 6+1 because I've had a couple of drops of blood that worried me. And I understand that the NHS will give us a scan at 12 weeks as standard. What I wanted to ask is if it's normal to have any between? Or is it a case of seeing if they can see anything at 6 weeks and then crossing fingers for the 12 week scan?

I think it's lovely that we'll all have Christmassy scans, don't you?

jaykay987 · 15/11/2013 20:42

Home - Ive not done this before either.....but you have have as many scans as you are willing to pay for before your 12week nhs!

I had a scan at 7 weeks (when actually I was only dated 5w+6). The stats seem to improve significantly post 8weeks, so if you were planning on an additional scan...after 8weeks is probably best.

I've opted for the harmony tests, so I luckily will get a 10w and 12w scan (though that is because I am paying). It's only been a week since my 6weeks and it already feels like forever! Im Wishing the next three weeks away!

duvetfan · 15/11/2013 20:52

Choccy I am so sorry. I only waited one cycle after my mc and fell pregnant straight away with my DS. I had a really straightforward pregnancy second time round, so even though its not what you want hear right now, you can start trying as soon as you are emotionally ready. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you. X

deeda811 · 15/11/2013 21:13

Hi all, I think i'm a bit late to the party but i'm definitely a July due date. Think i'm due on 2nd July, but i can be a bit irregular so could be later than that. It's my first, so it's all a bit new to me at the moment.

Charotte31 · 15/11/2013 21:17

Hi all, can I jump in! I'm 5.2 today and totally over the moon! Very scared as had lots of pains but had a few scans, another on the the 25th so fingers crossed! Due 16th 10 days after my dd 3rd birthday! :)

Choccy so sorry :(

Tanny fx this one is a sticky bean for you!

I'm still really tired and hungry all the time but still no sickness! I'm 7w+3 today. Do some people really not get any sickness at all?? I'm going to try get an early scan next weekend, just for peace of mind. I did my last pg test yesterday and the test line came up within seconds, so I guess everything is ok, but it is such a worry!
