@blue - sorry to hear that your lacking in sleep. I have had a luxurious week in that regard as DH (and his snoring) is in Manchester on a course all this week. He's back tomorrow though and I can't wait to see him.
I very nearly had to leave my year 11 class yesterday to go and be sick. The boys kept talking about sushi!

charleylarlie · 14/11/2013 10:16

Hi, can I join in? Currently 6+5 with dc2. We have DS who is 2.5. Currently due between 1st and 5th July depending on which online tool I use. Feeling really sick at the moment and have done the last few days. So tired also. Nice to meet you all! Smile

Choccywoccydodah · 14/11/2013 10:39

Sorry for self centred post. I'm currently away and this morning I've started spotting brown, now it's pinky red. I've phoned my mum (retired mw) and she's told me not to worry but I am panicking.
I had spotting at 7/8 weeks with ds and sent in for a scan at the epu where everything was fine. I also had spotting around 4 and 5 months with him.
This is a lot earlier though obviously. Anyone had this? I don't get back til Saturday, but due to being so early, surely they won't send me in for scan yet will they?
I've got no tests either and we're in the middle of nowhere. Feeling rather glum :(

LadyGoneGaga · 14/11/2013 10:54

How many weeks are you, Choccy? It's probably just an implantation bleed so try not to worry. Do your symptoms still seem the same? They don't normally scan until at least 6 weeks. Sorry, i know it's such a worry but bleeding is often fine.

englishteacher78 · 14/11/2013 11:55

Choccy sending positive thoughts your way!

OttersPocket · 14/11/2013 12:00

Choccy I'd tell you to try not to worry but I know just how difficult that is.

I've not been here since I first posted my BFP - I've been terribly busy with work, and buying a house (all moved in now - yay!), and general life stuff.

I wondered if anyone could give me some advice? I had an early viability scan this morning (due to being a Type 1 Diabetic), and the sonographer had a hard time getting measurements. Anyway, eventually after an internal scan she gave me a CRL of 4mm, and told me I was only just 6 weeks. Which tally's up with what I thought (I was on clomid and tracking ov). What I didn't expect to hear was that I have a very septate uterus (not bicornate). She recommended I get re-scanned in 3 weeks time.

So now, after much googling, I'm freaking out about the increased chance of miscarriage. Does anyone have any experience of this? Or should I just step away from google and try not to panic?! I have an appointment with my obstetric team in two weeks... I guess I'll have to see what happens then. Confused

Choccywoccydodah · 14/11/2013 12:52

Ladygg I'm only 4.5 weeks :(
Quite a lot now, not bright red but red

LadyGoneGaga · 14/11/2013 13:08

Oh choccy Sad. You poor thing. Are you at home? Do you have someone with you? Could your mum come around?

Choccywoccydodah · 14/11/2013 13:08

I'm away lady, back Saturday

jaykay987 · 14/11/2013 13:19

oh no choccy. that must be scarey.
there's nothing you can do though. so take it as easy as you can and monitor what's going on.

fx for you

Littleangel21 · 14/11/2013 13:41

Choccy, I'm so sorry you're going through this but it might be totally normal.

Keep us updated xxx

englishteacher78 · 14/11/2013 13:58

Oh choccy sending hugs to you now.

englishteacher78 · 14/11/2013 15:20

My latest worry/concern is that my local hospital (a very infamous one) has just been put into special measures. I'm not even sure what that means for a hospital.
Is there anywhere we can access inspection reports for hospitals like you can for schools?

Sparky321 · 14/11/2013 15:38

Choccy fingers crossed that all is well, are you in the uk? Can you ring your gp and get a referral to epu where you are? Sending you positive vibes x

dollydaydream27 · 14/11/2013 15:42

Thinking of you choccy really hoping everything's ok .
Just to update iv cancelled my midwife appointment tomorrow. Im on nights and was going to go straight from work in the morning but I'm just soooo tired at the end of the shift I decided it wasn't such a good idea ! So rearranged for next fri morning I will be 6+5 so fingers crossed the next week goes ok .
Symptom wise I have occasional period like aches and twinges but probably only once or so a day now. Still have sore boobs and feel slightly nauseous when hungry . Have no idea if I'm more tired than normal - I think I am but working shifts can make you permanently tired anyway. I'm just hoping all these nights aren't doing the little growing bean any harm. Iv had to drink coffee again aswel which I feel guilty about .

AuntieMaggie · 14/11/2013 16:37

Hope you're ok choccy Flowers

I accidentally ate some brie today - got halfway through the sandwich before i realised!

I feel weird today in a "I'm pregnant things should be different but they're not" kind of way. Almost like when someone dies and someones talking to you normally and you think "don't you know my x died?" even though theres no way for them to know. Yes I'm weird.

Didn't sleep last night cos I had a big work day today so I am knackered eating loads of food on my way home. Ho hum.

Choccywoccydodah · 14/11/2013 17:25

Thanks all. Spoke to my mum and she's advised me to do a pg test in a couple of days then try and get a scan at 6 weeks.

Yes I'm in the uk, my gp office is absolute shite, I haven't rang them yet but they're usually crap for everything else.
I was tempted to phone my old mw who I had with ds to see if they could do anything as I'm currently away but we are near where he was born!

ismarah · 14/11/2013 18:06

Choccy Fingers and toes all crossed for you..

English There's some information on the NHS website - where you go to choose your hospital. Not sure what level of detail they give, or how much detail you want, but that might be a starting point if you haven't looked there already.

I'm currently going from queasy to ravenous and back, endlessly. Confused about swaddling (not familiar with it from Scandinavia), freaked out about the idea of breast feeding. You may be able to tell that on a whim I picked up the Boots Autumn Bump, Birth and Baby advertorial magazine. Anything to keep it feeling real, really. As if being handed a baby at the end of this all wouldn't be real enough! But it's not real enough NOW...

coco808 · 14/11/2013 18:06

Oh choccy you poor thing! Fingers crossed everything will be OK. I was reading a good paper today, that said 50% of bleeds before 7 weeks end up with healthy babies. That is a good percentage I think. I know it will be very difficult but try and keep yourself busy...have a bath or watch a film or something. Then you can have a scan in 10 days or so. Cake Brew

coco808 · 14/11/2013 18:09

English you can request a report from CQC. You can google the nearest CQC office number and give them a call. They can also give you department specific info.

Choccywoccydodah · 14/11/2013 18:15

I bled with ds but not until 7 weeks or so, it's just so early. I hated being pg due to numerous bleeds, and it's all happening again! :(

MrsA2 · 14/11/2013 20:09

Hello everyone!

I'm excited to join you - I think I'm about 7 weeks and due 3/7.

So far my symptoms are mainly sore boobs, on and off cramps, tired all the time and so hungry! Some nausea but as long as I keep eating it's not too bad.

This is number one for me after five months of trying, we've got an early scan in two weeks time which I can't wait for so I can (hopefully) start to relax a little and maybe tell family.

Look forward to sharing the highs and lows with you.

MrsA2 · 14/11/2013 20:10

Choccywoccydodah - sorry to see your update, fingers firmly crossed for you.

coco808 · 14/11/2013 20:13

I can't begin to imagine how distressing it must be choccy. Are you still bleeding or has it stopped?

Pearlsaplenty · 14/11/2013 20:19

choccy I'm sorry to hear about the bleeding :( how long are you away for? Is there any way you can get some 48 hour blood tests done. You've got a week and a half to go before you can can get a scan and at least getting bloodtests done will mean it feels like you are doing something while you wait. My fingers are crossed for you.
