I retested this morning and got a 'see leaflet' response! There was a fault with it! Need to buy another test tomorrow! I want to make sure I have a positive before drs on Thursday evening!

What should I expect. Go on tell the, I've had positive test! Will they do a test? I have been bleeding so really don't know what to expect? Any advice! It's been a long week since I tested positive!

jaykay987 · 06/11/2013 07:40

Agghhhh. That must be so frustrating.

FX for you.

spinningirl10 · 06/11/2013 08:08

Morning all,

Thought I'd pop on and say hello. It's been a week now since my mc, bleeding has stopped and pregnancy test shows negative. I still feel sad and would love to be here counting down to our scan dates but at least we can try again!!

Just waiting for dp to feel ready.....he's worried about it happening again and didn't like seeing me go through that! I've told him all the info I've read online and how it's actually better to conceive soonish after a mc.
Hoping we can try again soon Grin

Good luck to all of you waiting for early scans, how exciting!! Is yours soon Jaykay?

Good to hear from you, Spinning. It's good that you're getting BFN's (the only time you ever want to see one) as the sooner you get one, the sooner your body will sort itself out. I think it is hard for the DP's but at the end of the day he needs to man up and realise what you most need is to be pregnant again. There is no reason to think this will happen again. Especially as you have other DC's. First mc is always just dumb bad luck.

My scan is on monday. Feeling nervous so need the reassurance.

Ipsumlorem · 06/11/2013 10:53

Morning! Spinning and Lady I'm sending you positive vibes for both ttc and your scan. Smile

Well up until last night I was feeling amazing apart from cramping and sore boobs. No cramping today and I'm actually looking a lot less bloated but I am totally wiped out and I haven't even been awake that long! I also had to go to bed super early last night which is unheard of for me! I guess this is what people mean by the tiredness symptom - wouldn't be too bad but I've a loooong day of wotk ahead of me Sad

spinningirl10 · 06/11/2013 11:34

Haha lady.....man up, I like that and he often says that himselfGrin am trying to remain calm and patient.....

Anyway, how are u feeling?

OP posts:
LadyGoneGaga · 06/11/2013 11:59

Ipsum early pregnancy tiredness is the worst. Really. I would sometimes do anything to be allowed to lie down under my desk and snooze for an hour.

I'm ok, Spinning, thanks for asking. Feeling a bit ropey with nausea and tiredness but am taking that as a positive sign as would be more paranoid if I was feeling better. With two little ones and working 3 days I don't have much time to rest though but am in bed by 9:30 most nights! Luckily DH is helping out more, he's pretty good anyway. House could do with a good clean though! I'm glad you are bearing up.

Lauranne · 06/11/2013 12:08

Ooh please can I join? I got my BFP yesterday. In total shock (happy though!) my due date comes up as the 8th July. I have a DS he's 9! We've been trying for 8 years and I still can't get over that positive! I didn't even know forums existed with my first so really looking forward to going through this with all you July mummies :)

elliejjtiny · 06/11/2013 12:14

spinning I got pregnant the cycle after my earliest miscarriage so DC3 is only 6 weeks older than my 2nd miscarried baby would have been. DC4 is 11.5 months younger than my 3rd miscarried baby would have been and although I'm glad I had the chance to grieve "properly" in between pregnancies I also feel like there is someone missing in between DC3 and DC4. Not sure if I would have coped with 3 under 2.5 plus 2 older ones though!

Ipsumlorem · 06/11/2013 12:21

Hi Lauranne (waves)!

I definitely agree Lady - am really suffering today Sad . Also no cramps today so far but I have back ache instead in my lower back - is that normal too? There are so many random symptoms - all being well im 5 weeks on friday and I didn't think I'd be suffering this early lol! Smile

jaykay987 · 06/11/2013 13:16

hi spinning! my scan is Friday. eek!
I'm so fed up I can't talk about it.....it's consuming every piece of my brain (hence work is not going too well!) but I can't verbalize it. I feel like I've been tied up in a big knot! Grin

I've been delivering training this week which has been hard. I can't run out to the loo for a quick shut eye like I have to survive a day in the office! We've had evening activities to supervise - so at the end of the day I've been running to ny hotel room for a 30min nap to try and survive the evening! Im so glad to be going home tonight!

I've also had a lot of backache. I like to think it's just a side effect of everything moving around inside.

spinningirl10 · 06/11/2013 13:33

Hi Ellie, thanks for that, it's good to hear positive stories after a mcGrin

Good luck Jaykay and Lady for your scans.....I shall look in and see how you both get on!! Grin

I think it's kind of reassuring to have some symptoms, stops you worrying quite so much!

elliejjtiny · 06/11/2013 14:41

I've had lots of crampy feelings in my tummy for the last couple of weeks. No sign of blood though. Wondering if my scar from previous section is feeling the strain already. Really nervous about going to the GP as my HV doesn't seem to understand that I might want to keep things private and will cheerfully share the news with DS2's paed, DS4's physio and anyone else she can think of. Also she (HV) might be a bit judgy. GP isn't in a place to judge me, she prescribed me the useless contraceptive pills after all Grin.

LadyGoneGaga · 06/11/2013 16:14

Well, I had a lie down when DD was napping and woke up in a panic at 3:10. Thank Goodness as had to leave 5 mins later to pick up DS from school.

Welcome Lauranne

Ellie the cramping feelings are pretty normal I think, is everything stretching down there and I think the more you have the more you feel - a bit like after pains afterwards. You should tell the HV to wind her neck in or complain. That sort of attitude is unforgivable in a health care professional!

Friend due round for 'wine and a film' shortly. Have decanted black currant squash (strong) into red wine bottle, fortunately she drinks White. Wish me luck!

BlueC2 · 06/11/2013 20:45

Evening all...can I join please? Just got my bfp for dc2 this morning and due date 16th July! We're very excited though can't quite believe it all! Ds1 is 17mo. Looking forward to sharing the journey with you though I'm soooo tired at the moment I may not be too chatty to start with!

elliejjtiny · 06/11/2013 21:21

Good thinking grobags. For future reference schloer looks like wine too. All mine have been so close together I've been able to use breastfeeding as an excuse to not drink.

elliejjtiny · 06/11/2013 21:28

Welcome BlueC2. I'm with you on the tiredness (yawn).

LadyGoneGaga stretching pains getting worse with each baby makes sense, now I think about it I remember last time before I took the test thinking I couldn't be pregnant because I was having period pains.

jaykay987 · 06/11/2013 22:25

Very creative gro bags. FYI I hate squash.....so would spot that a mile off! Grin

Schloer is a good one....that looks "real".

I've currently got a serious craving for non alcoholic beer. I don't normally drink beer...but it's the only thing to quench my endless thirst! Grin Im currently treating myself to three or four a week!
it looks real, so I'll be using that if anyone comes round ours!

frostina · 07/11/2013 01:05

Does the tiredness ever end?! yawn

ItsAlwaysBetterOnHoliday · 07/11/2013 07:02

Hello! Can I join? Got a BFP on Mon (and Tue, and Wed... just to make sure...Hmm) TTC #1, due date 17 July according to online calculators. However AF not officially late till tomorrow so I'm still half convinced all those tests are lying.

Slightly freaked out as we only decided to start trying three or so weeks ago and thought it would take ages (for various reasons) But very happy too.

Would really appreciate having others to share things with - otherwise i'm just going to drive DH mad. We're resisting telling any of our friends or family for now, but it's so tempting to phone up one of my best friends (who has a gorgeous 1 and a half year old) and say "I'm pregnant! And I feel rubbish! Is that normal?!"

With you on the tiredness front! Also - I seem to be getting weird back pain that's making me hobble round the office. Weird. Anyone else?

Mrsc020987 · 07/11/2013 08:49

Congrats newbies!! How's everyone feeling today? This sickness has already reduced me to tears.....all day and all night I want to eat nothing and having to force myself to nibble at non smelly stuff!! Anyone with babies still in nappies? If so how are you coping? I have been having a few bites of a rich tea then holding my breath...has worked so far but very unpleasant! Booking in tomorrow, I am excited for my new book, cried when they took first one from me, I thought I got to keep it haha!

LadyGoneGaga · 07/11/2013 08:54
