It's tucking's dd who was taken to SC last night I think - fx she's doing ok ThanksThanks

untitled congratulations Grin take it as easy as possible after your EMCS x

legally dd will have a great time at pre school, it's good to get them socialised before they start school. My dd1 loved nursery, and settled into reception really well even though she had only turned 4 a few days before starting!

Thanks To all births I've missed, and [hugs] to those SC and SFW.

My CS wound is no longer infected, but still has a teeny tiny hole at one end. Hoping it will heal up soon, really wanting to get out & about more and start running and doing sit-ups again to fit into skinny jeans Smile

Thea slept from 4am - 9.15 this morning, yay!

textbook · 19/10/2013 10:22

Oh Flyer just saw your post - we have a hiccuppy baby here too, she was like it in the womb too Grin although she's 3.5 weeks now and they seem to be lessening. The maternal feelings are lovely aren't they? I often nibble T's chubby cheeks, so delicious!!

PseudoBadger · 19/10/2013 10:29

Very hiccupy here too!

DP, who has been wonderful during the past 2 weeks, has told me how tired he is today after DD woke every 2 hours for a feed last night. What a knobber. He's just sad to be going back to work I know, but still...

roofio87 · 19/10/2013 10:32

yep lots of hiccups here too. H is very windy and mw said hiccups help get it up so a good thing!!

MrsHoratioNelson · 19/10/2013 10:37

Flyer 40mls is brilliant! Suggests there'll be plenty more where that came from...

Congratulations xuntitledx

Flyer747 · 19/10/2013 11:15

I'm surprised at how well I'm feeling pain wise after my c section. First two days hell on earth. Yesterday day 3 and today day 4 I'm managing on paracetamol alone. Have been for one diaherrea poo but no more. Sorry tmi. However stomach takes forever to go down I still look pregnant, does it take longer to go down after a c section? If I have anymore babies if def opt for another elective one.

Good luck with the induction Pink I hope it goes well.

Pseudo sympathies about dp moaning. Dp stayed last night (on a load of cushions in the room on the floor Grin) and complained after having 4 hours sleep he was tired and could I go and wheel her crib back from special baby unit (where she goes every 8 hrs for anti biotics) no I fucing cannot I've had a c section and aren't allowed to push anything heavy , idiot! He also announced "I need more sleep than you, I get awfully grumpy with no sleep" yeah don't we all! Fool

neenienana · 19/10/2013 11:19

Hi all, sfw too at 40 plus 6. I am 41 too, was interested in your post pink as they dont't seem to be that bothered about me going over. Have got mw Mon for second sweep, I am gonna make sure she really goes for if this time. Just had acupuncture this am, really hope it happens soon. Good luck pink and anyone else swil and big hugs to those experiencing baby blues, I remember it well but it does pass.

rubytwosday · 19/10/2013 11:22

Congratulations Shooting, Orange, Untitled and Tucking and any one else I missed. Hoping baby tucking is doing better now. Had a much better night with A last night. She was still sick twice but did not projectile vom, just sucking up when burped. Thankyou to whoever (Feminist I think) who suggested raising one end of the Moses basket - that seemed to help. Fingers crossed that the dull moon still helps some of you SFW.

chickieno1 · 19/10/2013 11:29

Congrats untitled

Yay for milk coming in flyer

Glad CS wound clearing up. Must look at mine in mirror as feels bit sore.

Good luck with induction pink

Hi neeni! Do you other dc or is this first?

Good luck for remaining full moon period to those SFW and SC xxx

neenienana · 19/10/2013 12:12

Hi chicken, this is third baby, its a girl I have two boys aged 6 and 8. Have just had meltdown after reading about risks of stillbirth in older mums. Need to get a grip am a complete mess today. Have never been this late before.

Pinkforboys · 19/10/2013 13:11

Oh the indignities of being female! Midwife finally gave me an internal and she had to jam her hand in so far to reach my damn closed cervix, it felt like she was digging for my kidneys ConfusedSo it looks like it'll be a long process for me and that this room will be home for quite a while...
Any tips for a successful speedy induction wd be most welcome.
Oh- and how am I sposed to do a wee sample when I'm strapped to monitor that's on 4foot cable???

roofio87 · 19/10/2013 13:21

pink not all is lost. at the start of my induction my cervix was so high the mw could barely reach it and completely closed. 6 hours in it was slightly lower and softer but still closed. 3 hours later I was 9cm dialated! only 11 hours from being induced to holding my baby which isn't bad going. sending positive cervix opening vibes your way!!

dp and H are downstairs watching the football so I've snuck off for a nap!!

Sanjifair · 19/10/2013 13:38

untitled congratulations!

Hi neenie glad there is another 13 ther still keeping me company SFW. I am surprised they haven't set you up with an induction date as you are over 40. I am 39 and requested induction earlier than 40+12 as had dodgy placenta at 40+14 3 years ago. So I am being induced Tuesday at 40+9.

Had my 3 rd sweep earlier, good news is that cervix is now reasonably soft, unlike before. Still 1 cm dilated and long though. Midwife reckoned it was favourable for a successful induction though, so that was good news. Bad news is that baby has turned back to back. Only did it yesterday though, so will hopefully turn again.

flyer 40 ml was as much as I ever got after 30 min pumping so you are doing really well for what is still early days.

Fx for tucking 's baby, hope she is back with you soon tucking.

Pinkforboys · 19/10/2013 13:39

Nat- how are you doing? My DS had a heart wrenching wobble this morning not wanting this baby to come and change our lives. It made me think of you and wonder how you and your DD were doing. I don't know about you- or others- but I hadn't anticipated this guilt.

Sanjifair · 19/10/2013 13:50

PS combination of sweep, full moon, clary sage, pineapple and a madras still didn't bring labour on for me, even at 40+5...

chickieno1 · 19/10/2013 14:10

Hope you and baby are ok tucking

Readyasilleverbe · 19/10/2013 14:11

Sanjifar I did all those things too except the all important sweep! Plus 100 million cups of raspberry leaf tea and sex 3 times in 24 hours (sorry) which is not the most comfy activity and that moon failed me! Think this baby is sticking around til its due date, I'm not prepared to consider going over yet! Feel a bit whiny when you are over due. Fb has ruined me.....all these lovely pics of precious babies. Still can't believe there's one in me.....I need the proof!!xx

LostMySocks · 19/10/2013 14:17

Been lurking for a while and then without internet. Baby Edward arrived last Friday at 7lb13oz. Caused a bit of a scene as his heart rate kept drpping after 20hour labour and had to be delivered by EMCS as I was only 9cm dilated at the time. Luckily no ill effects and I'm recovering fast, just frustrated that i can't rush around and can't drive so get all the hard worknside of a new baby but not the fun of showing him off.
Feeding going ok now. at the start i thought he wantes feeding every hour or so but he'd only drink for 5 or 10 mins. killed my nipples. midwife said he was snacking and sucking for comfort and to try to get him to feed for 30mins by doing skin to skin. within a day he was feeding every 3 to 4 hours and my nipples are so much better. he does still like to suck at things but does this quite happily and then nods off. he's definitely not agitated and hungry

chickieno1 · 19/10/2013 14:46

give me strength. asked dh to change bed sheets. he asks me and the pillow cases???

cazboldy · 19/10/2013 15:11

lol chickie Grin

legallyblond · 19/10/2013 15:12

Any news on FB on Tucking (do we know what the problem is... Huge huges if you're here TF)? Or MoN and Eliana? X x x

legallyblond · 19/10/2013 15:14

Chickie - DH yesterday was asked to peel and "put on" the potatoes. I noticed them sitting on the pan on the side 20 mins later. He didn't realise that "put on" the potatoes meant cook them...?!?!

Natalieand · 19/10/2013 16:01

All these dh/dp stories make me chuckle its suprising they r supposed to be the stronger more successfull sex when they appear to have no common sense!!

flyer I hope your feeling ok u deserve a medal for not murdering your dp yet xx

Congratulations on all the beautiful bundles and good luck to all those SWIL xxx

pink I'm feeling the same as yesterday tbh I'm sick I'm staying indoors now too so will try and get out so we here tommorow b4 I drive myself insane. Dd is still quite emotional and definately testing boundaries also when I went in for induction Monday my cervix was closed and unfavourable so don't loose hope xx

Pinkforboys · 19/10/2013 16:09

Having resigned myself to my fate of being induced I'm quite enjoying this calm (sewing/reading/eating choc and bouncing on a yoga ball to Robbie Williams in a private room off ward) without any household/DS/DH distractions. ignoring that it will end in severe labour pains
Made me wonder what those with babies already would recommend the ladies on the bus get up to before they get off??
(between prayers to the full moon goddess)

Natalieand · 19/10/2013 16:31

I recommend u sleep sleep and more sleep
