To speak to physio! Bloody hell

Xavielli · 10/10/2013 11:14

Morn

Xavielli · 10/10/2013 11:17

Try again - stupid phone

Morning ladies, feeling slightly less gippy this morning which is good! Had a lovely text message from my student midwife asking how I am (5th time round no one else really cares so it's nice to get a little attention).

I am so cold my nipples are sore.... Which I'm sure you didn't need to know. Oh the joys of pregnancy.

10+5

NannyPlumForPM · 10/10/2013 11:44

Hmmph Moomin - we are similar stages but I've got to wait another two weeks for my scan Angry

Been left on my own at work while everyone goes on a jolly! They say its important but if it includes a buffet then its a jolly.

Well if they can have the time off then im mumsnetting

thistlelicker · 10/10/2013 11:47

I've just snapped at dh because I'm so tired and he is so keen for us to do stuff! Feel like a total bitch

dobedobedo · 10/10/2013 12:07

Well I had my risk assessment at work and the director is getting me an orthopaedic chair and paying for an eye test! Quite why the eye test, I don't know. Something about computer screens.

My voice has totally gone, which as you can imagine is helpful when all I do all day is talk to people!

How are we all?

NannyPlumForPM · 10/10/2013 12:21

Thats very posh DoBeDO!

I got........a 'ask for help if there is something heavy you need lifting'... good ol' NHS Grin

SkipandTink · 10/10/2013 12:21

Hi, hope everyone is well? Not been on here for a week or so as was just so ill last week, mainly just slept and threw up. Luckily the weekend saw things improve, and I am finally eating again now and not being sick anymore. In fact now I am bloody starving all the time! Am now 7 weeks 4 days and we still haven't told anyone apart from the kids, it's our own little family secret! I tried to add myself to stats but not sure if it worked?

loveLife14 · 10/10/2013 12:34

Hi May mummies to be-

I am new here and not sure how to work this thread thing! I just posted a message on the main group...oooops!

I am 10 weeks, feeling awful and bricking it about my scan in a few weeks. Anyone else?! X

hamncheese · 10/10/2013 12:37

I dont think I am 13 weeks impatiently ... I know when we conceived roughly as it was the first time we DTD without protection (this time round) and I tested 10 days after on clear blue got a positive so I know that attempt worked. Based on that date I'm 10+ but because they are going with my lmp (my cycles are whacky) they think I'm further. I would be very surprised if tomorrow they didn't say oh you're quite early still.

moomin ditto on ice lollies. Calypso minis are good.

bush I hope to have a draft written up by then... Then I can leave it with my supervisors while they do their usual of not reading it for months because they are so lazy. Will see how it goes but hopefully you will be right!

isean congrats on the scan :) I had to do a lot of dancing with my DS as a bean he was so chilled out... Still is pretty much!

Sorry to all still waiting for scans... Last time round I was in Glasgow and I didn't hear anything at all from anyone til 12 weeks. Then they told me to come at 14 weeks and they booked and scanned in a oner. Good job I brought DH with me or he'd have missed it. This time in Lanarkshire I've been seen at 7 weeks, booked in at 9 weeks, now scan at 11/13 depending on your view ha! So yeah, it's a lottery and very annoying but do call if you think you are being neglected!

Feeling a little more energetic today which is nice. DS and I put up some Halloween decorations early to cheer up.

ThePFJ · 10/10/2013 13:15

Just to let you know the surgery went fine - no complications. My DH was a total hero yesterday keeping me entertained while we waited. No pain at all today, I am surprised at how fast my body has recovered - but that's a good thing. Have a good day girls - thinking of you all loads.
Love - ThePFJ. xxxx

Im 9+2

NannyPlumForPM · 10/10/2013 16:05

Xaviella I hate to be the bearer of bad news but pregnant women aren't meant to eat McDonalds milkshakes! Something along the lines of Mr Whippy's ice cream and the listeria danger Hmm I know....

BoogiesBunny · 10/10/2013 16:22

Hey chip so great that you love your midwife! I'm hoping for a cuddly older lady, ideally with a comforting Irish accent - not that I'm being too prescriptive! I also have no symptoms, except perhaps the giant spots on my face, so I know what you mean about not feeling preggers - did you mention it to the midwife? If you did, what did she say about it?

I'm 9+1

bushprincess · 10/10/2013 16:28

ahh! PFJ thats so great of you to pop in and let us know you're ok... thinking of you loads and hope you'll be back on a bus as soon as you are healed (body and mind)... big hugs!

Welcome lovelife, miss and elasti hope you'll enjoy having us to moan/laugh/be sick with !!

isean how cute having to wake the little bean up!! can't wait to see something more than an amorphous blob!!

hamncheese good luck getting your draft together - will be such a weight off your mind - and yes, expect lots of time until supervisors get round to reading it... I handed mine in and then promptly left for a month long (belated) honeymoon as I knew I wouldn't expect to hear anything sooner!!

Have a good evening all you lovely ladies! xx

BoogiesBunny · 10/10/2013 16:28

Hello newbies - welcome to the thread! It's pretty awesome Smile!

AliOh · 10/10/2013 16:45

Hi lovelife and welcome to the maybies!

Glad to hear op went well ThePFJ have been thinking of you x

I'm feeling less and less pregnant the last couple of days, apart from tiredness and my terrible skin, all symptoms have gone! Even the dreaded ms Confused

mumof2aimingfor4 · 10/10/2013 16:56

Forgot to say hi to all the new maybies Cake

dobedobedo · 10/10/2013 17:07

My symptoms are certainly changing. I keep thinking "Oooh my morning sickness has disappeared" only for me to suddenly puke without warning. It's definitely getting less though. I'm half relieved, half worried.
