it's too late now, i've eaten it all...oh my oh my!
Had a banana and some bread!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/10/2013 14:33

Thank you all! So lovely to get so many bday wishes, I feel very spoilt Grin

space so glad you'll stick around here - we want to know everything! Good luck with the expressing, I hope it gets easier.

enjoying so sorry about your house purchase, how shitty. If it's any consolation, we will be in rented accomm by Jan - I was so disappointed at first, but now I don't mind so much.

sarah great news about your niece!

Today has been a bit rubbish and a bit lovely - was up very late last night, so stressed about work, and the fact I won't be able to get everything done. DH had been out and was mightily pissed tipsy, so a bit unhelpful, and we ended up in a fight. Didn't go to bed until 3, so came in late this morning.
DH then decided to get me the loveliest bday presents, to balance out his rubbishness last night - half of them were things for me, half were baby things he knew I wanted, but wouldn't justify the cost of, including this and the most gorgeous furry sleepsuit/pramsuit, which has #ears! Can't find a pic, sadly, but it's lush.

Got to work to find colleagues had got me a lovely card, but I still have to meet the boss this afternoon and try to get it through his thick head that I do not have time to keep taking on more stuff. This has so far been an uphill battle.

Hopefully Saturday (when we're celebrating, as today is so busy) will be more fun.

TobyLerone · 03/10/2013 14:39

That John Lewis sleepsuit is adorable, Humpty!

Sorry that both DH and your boss have been an arse. And hope that your boss pulls his finger out like your DH appears to have done.

MrsVDB · 03/10/2013 14:44

That's lovely humpty do you mind if I steal?? I have soo many furry sleep suits with ears, they are ace. Mothercare had the cutest one with different coloured belly and paws so I got it in both colours and got a giraffe one from matalan the other day and gap has some cute ones!

Lalunya85 · 03/10/2013 15:13

furry sleep suits rule! i haven't got any, given my DH-imposed baby-buying ban, but it's definitely going ot be on my list.

Also a fan of the sleepsuit humpty! Great hat...

extracrunchy · 03/10/2013 15:59

Ooh ooh we got this one from H&M!
Love it!!

MrsVDB · 03/10/2013 16:16

Ah I saw that one extra so cute!!

Naturegirl82 · 03/10/2013 18:23

Mw appointment went well. Bump measured spot on at 25cm. Heartbeat was good and just over 150bpm. All good Smile and even better I remembered to do my pelvic floors all the way home Grin

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/10/2013 18:29

extra that one is UNCANNILY like mine! They are the most snuggly things, aren't they?

nature yay for obediently sized baby and well done on pelvic floors!

Toothfairy78 · 03/10/2013 19:04

OK what is going on? I feel like I have hardly any lung capacity today and ToothJr has been very kicky and squiggly too.

Anyway, nice to hear that all is in order with baby nature!

And that fuzzy bear suit is to die for! Might have to swing by H&M....

In other news, pg colleague only received her maternity letter from hr today, 8 weeks after sending off her MAT B1! And she had to chase loads. I sent mine yesterday, so at this rate, it'll arrive after my requested finishing date!

Also, spoke to a day nursery today and arranged to have a look round week after next. The in laws will be around then, so might drag them along.

Excellent news, nature :)

I've been the same for a few weeks, Tooth. Short of breath and also constantly like I'm going to hiccup/burp. Well, I don't burp, so what I would imagine it feels like just before you do, anyway.

MrsGSR · 03/10/2013 19:45

The talk of milkshakes was to much earlier, I've just sent poor DH out for ice cream! My back is killing me, hoping the ice cream will magically help that to!

MrsVDB · 03/10/2013 20:29

tooth I've been ridiculously breathless recently too. Asked midwife about it yesterday and she wasn't concerned so I suppose it's something we just have to get used to

Ah that's good nature

MrsVDB · 03/10/2013 20:31

mrsg I'm with you in the bad back . It's my lower back and is terrible when I sit down. I'm tempted to get a different chair at work (huge company and if I say it's hurting my back I can) but don't want to make a fuss. Especially as only 11w to go

Swannykazoo · 03/10/2013 21:16

Toby and fellow heartburn sufferers,
If you're still miserable with heartburn there are more options - ranitidine (over the counter or GP) or omeprazole (think you can get OTC but flipping expensive - GP for free)Both ok for us PG people my Gp says.

For everyone trying to prop themselves up on pillows it can be easier to put something under the bed legs at the head end of the bed like a small book or magazine. Even 1-2cm helps enormously and DH never used to notice when I had it bad. better now no red wine hangovers with special bonus gastritis

Sultanajo · 03/10/2013 21:28

puggle good tips on the bed propping. Ours has wheels though so would worry it would roll into the wardrobe overnight! Grin

I am with u ladies on the breathlessness. Plus my breathing is just noisy - I really notice it when I am sitting quietly! Plus am snoring - heard myself as I dropped off last night! Blush

MW wasnt concerned but is routinely testing blood next week at 28 week appointment so will check my iron levels in case its that. I think its lack of exercise recently combined with baby taking up more room and carrying around the extra weight....

Finally finished work so off to bed! Off for a forest dog walk in the morning with my mate. Hope I can keep up (and breathe!!!) Hmm

Naturegirl82 · 03/10/2013 21:50

I've just ordered a wobble cushion to help with my back. it's like sitting on a gym ball so you get all the added benefits of getting baby into the best position as well. Wasn't expensive so that might be more useful than a new office chair? My friend swears by hers.

So I thought over the past few weeks baby was occasionally lying funny or something but I twigged tonight that it's probably Braxton Hicks I can feel. Makes more sense! Grin

Toothfairy78 · 03/10/2013 21:53

Ooh, what's a wobble cushion nature?

Happy bday humpty sorry you have had a manic day but the baby stuff looks ace.

No heartburn for me yet. Am i the only one?? This worries me lol. I do love milk though so have drunk it fairly regularly throughout so maybe that has helped!
Loving the sound of mint choc chic tho, god its been ages since i had that stuff. Its been ages since i had proper ice cream!

tooth its not looking so good on the matb1 front then. Are you going back to work quickly (sorry i cant remember) as i havent even thought about nursery stuff yet!

enjoying sorry about the house rubbish. Hope it sorts itself out or you are able to find a lovely rental. Maybe this house just isnt meant to be and youll find a better one once bubs arrives.

Today has been a busy day at work and tomorrow we are another person down so i will have to step in and attempt a third job to help cover, whilst helping to monitor and train a new member of the team (not my mat cover tho as it seems that my work are now thinking of giving that to my friend who might return from her mat leave in jan- she will not be pleased as she wont want that sort of responsibility if she comes back)
Then no rest on Monday as a different person is off so i will be changing to cover that instead as i am the only one eho knows it (plus my own work to do - only 2 jobs to do on monday tho not 3 like tomorrow)

Then over the weekend i have my flu jab, hairdressers, weekly shop to do and am making rocky road cupcakes topped with homemade brownies and also lemon meringue cupcakes for bdays on Monday. Oh and i need to go and get some helium balloons and confetti to decorate the womans desk as my boss cant go get them as its her husbands bday so lets leave it to the overworked pregnant lady instead! I should just say no but i am a people pleaser (And i want them to realise how shit next year will be without me so i can try and get a good deal if and when i return)

Just had a look at a photo of my bump at 21-22 weeks ish and my god have i grown. Getting dh to take another one tomorrow to compare (i look like a house) as am only 26 weeks tomorrow.
Dh said i look abnormal, i hope hes joking.

MrsVDB · 03/10/2013 22:07

Ooh natute ill have a look thanks. My mums a physio so I should really ask her for advice too! Just don't want to be the moany pregnant lady!

frizz I started taking weekly bump photos in same clothes at about 14w but haven't since about 19w. Really wish I had as its lovely seeing progress. I had the twins comment tonight too!

TobyLerone · 03/10/2013 22:24

Thanks, puggle, but I've seen 3 different GPs at my practice who all refused me ranitidine or omeprazole. I was on omeprazole for gastritis before I got pg.
Will deffo prop the bed up at the weekend though :)

Braxton Hicks make me need a wee, nature :o
