Hope your resting at home puggle not working.

I've had a busy day volunteering at the NCT sale. Got a few good bargains but wasn't really in the mood for much shopping. Would be easier if I knew sex of baby but got a few neutral bits.
Been nesting like crazy too. I'm currently trying to sell about 100 books online. Poor dh is a crazy hoarder at heart and is struggling with my hormone-induced minimalist tendencies.

Evening ladies!

mrsv how cool! Think we may see a bit in 3/4d at the scan on monday....Grin

Toby what did u fill your day with in the end?

Totally with u all. Totally knackered! Drove for 4 hours today.....at hotel now ready for conference tomorrow. God knows how I am gonna sit on a chair all day - after about an hour my back and pelvis are screaming at me to get up. Am starting to waddle a bit purely from lower back ache.

However, I did go swimming tonight and apart from the heartburn and reflux it brought on, it was blissful! Just bouncing gently in the water loosened up all my joints and muscles and for the first time in ages I felt my age and pain free! Making me definitely want to try for a water birth! Wonder if they would let me sit in a small pool at the conference tomorrow....Grin

Toothfairy78 · 19/10/2013 18:49

Sounds like some productive days we're had.

The in laws are over and they brought down a Moba Moses basket, which is in a funky purple!

And MIL helped with the nursery stocktake today. I have 18 newborn sized body suits. Didn't realise I had that many. Oops. Blush

tooth how funny! I will be doing that next weekend I think....

AnotherStitchInTime · 19/10/2013 21:35

Sounds like everyone has had a productive day.

Nesting in full force here. We have had a massive clear out today so that we can fit the new bedside crib in our bedroom. Have been on my feet all day cleaning so I am going relax now with some well deserved tea and biscuits.

Hope everyone is putting there feet up now, Brew and Cake all round.

TobyLerone · 19/10/2013 21:38

Knackered here, too. I haven't stopped today.

Got up, cooked everyone breakfast, cleared up, made DS's birthday cake, cleaned kitchen/bathroom, hoovered whole house, steam mopped living room/kitchen/bathroom, had a shower, went to Sainsbury's (where I queued next to Vic Reeves and his awful wife), iced DS's cake, picked DD up from the library, went bowling, came home, ate dinner and cake, and I've just got in from dropping DS's friend home. Knackered!

Then it's up early in the morning for rugby, maybe a cup of tea at MIL's, as she lives near Whitstable, then home before I go to Gatwick. I'm tired thinking about it!

Hope your conference goes well, Sultana.

And yay for melted-plasticine scans :o

extracrunchy · 19/10/2013 23:20

Oi Toby - sit down for a minute, you loon. Grin

TobyLerone · 20/10/2013 08:11

:o I was way ahead of you! Watched X Factor (it only took about half an hour due to fast forwarding through the boring bits!) then bed.

I can hear it pissing down outside. I'll be standing in a field until lunchtime if anyone wants me Hmm

Have a lovely Sunday, all!

Naturegirl82 · 20/10/2013 08:49

I'm off to a nearly new sale this morning. Just a local one so not sure how good it will be, and we really don't need anything but wanted to go anyway Smile

Then back home for more furniture building and house sorting. I am determined to get this house sorted!!!

Angelesque · 20/10/2013 09:42

Greetings from Madeira! Our last holiday before little one arrives...

So... While we've been away this week I've been having the most vivid dreams, and on three nights this week I've had the most horrible dreams that DH decides to leave me!! In the dreams he's always really nonchalant, has got bored of me and basically wants to sleep around and pretend he's 18 (this is actually so far from how DH has ever been!!).

I made the mistake of telling DH about the dreams and he got a bit offended, ha ha! I Googled the dreams and apparently they're really common during the 2nd trimester. Anyone else...?

extracrunchy · 20/10/2013 10:01

Angel I had a dream like that last night! Except he and his mum told me and acted like it was no big deal. Humph.

extracrunchy · 20/10/2013 10:02

Lucky you in Madeira!! Hope it's lovely Smile

babycakemumma · 20/10/2013 10:05

Just checking in. Hope mums and bumps are well. X

Bluecarrot · 20/10/2013 10:40

Morning everyone :)

Busy day of housework ahead. Fed up waiting for 'D'p to pull his finger out ( and he's back to work today- his weekend is fri-sat) so while it may not be Toby's all over the place busy, I'm def not looking forward to it. Lots of boxes need moved but I need to empty half contents out, move box, move rest of contents, and repack box - too heavy for me to risk lifting now! Trying to get den cleared so I can get started in transforming it to a playroom :) think I need a checklist - satisfying to check off stuff.

Thankfully dinner at my parents house tonight so I don't have to think about cooking. Hurrah!

Swannykazoo · 20/10/2013 11:00

Daft question maybe but is there any safe amount to lift/not lift when preggers? Good luck blue - I suspect I'd end up poking through boxes if they need unpacked/packed thereby doubling the job!

Bluecarrot · 20/10/2013 11:48

Well, I guess it depends - if you did weight training regularly pregnancy then prob more than I would lift!

I'm just erring on the side of caution. The boxes are big. Plus to get the boxes from one room to the next involves going up three stairs then down three so being extra careful with that! Ill be wrecked after moving 2 mixes anyway, probably.

Bluecarrot · 20/10/2013 11:50

Mixes = boxes!

TobyLerone · 20/10/2013 12:17

The danger with lifting is more that you'll damage/hurt yourself than the baby. So don't lift anything you'll struggle with. Other than that, you're fine.

Naturegirl82 · 20/10/2013 14:12

Just thought I would pop on to say I have joined the "ears" club. Cutest little suit with bear ears bought this morning Smile

Bluecarrot · 20/10/2013 15:43

Stood in the scales this am and am exactly 2st heavier than pre pregnancy weight. Think that's the upper limit recommended for the entire pregnancy and I still have 10-12 weeks ( so 10-12lbs) to go.

Got hospital apt tomorrow (yay!) so no doubt I'll get some comments there ( hate that they are all after lunch esp when they are going to weigh me.)

Need to reduce my binges ( craving sweet comfort food) and up my gentle exercise. Might help with exhaustion.

Anyone else in same boat?

MrsVDB · 20/10/2013 17:02

I'm still lifting quite a bit as so much DIY to do. I notice it hurts me more. I've also read about placental abruption ( I think that's what it's called when placenta comes away) so I'm being as careful as I can.

Getting spare room/ baby room plastered on Wednesday which will be great as can then do cornicing, skirting, carpet and decorating yeay! I had grand intentions of making the curtains so bought all the material but mil had offered which will be a huge help as we still have so much to do.

I had bmi of 34 at booking in as had lost a bit before this and then up until about week 17 I was losing weight and lost about stone and half. I've now put a stone back on in 10 weeks. I weigh myself everyday as I can put on weight very quickly but I'm starting to worry that I'm going to put on loads now :(

flyawayblue · 20/10/2013 17:46

Hey all. Sounds like you've had productive days :)

It's my birthday today but not gone so well. Did most nice things yesterday as my mother wanted to meet up today and well it went as well as I feared. She ranted and raved about everything and I was lectured that we where planning diaries disasterous things for the baby... stupid things like we're going to seriously injur our daughter by using a changing table but still it got to me. Also got drenched 4 hours before we where allowed to leave so now feel sick with cold.

To top it all off my birthday present (30th) was a mug and a t-shirt in XL. I might be pregnant but a. I'm a size 12 and b. this top is too short to cover my bump so she doesn't have that excuse.

Sorry that was a lot more of a rant than I meant :)

Mythreeknights · 20/10/2013 18:02

blue don't worry...me too. I am usually 9.15 stone but perhaps a little skinny as am 5 foot 9. Now am a healthy 11 stone and creeping up...but I am soooo not bothered. I got to 12 stone with ds1 and it fell off by six months post birth. Pilates and running are the best getting back into shape things to do (and so good for the soul too) so I'm booking myself in for a ten km race in July 2014 , that's my goal for getting back into shape. I would say maybe keep off the pies if you have already put on three stone with ten to twelve weeks left to go, but two stone...fine!

Bluecarrot · 20/10/2013 20:01

I was overweight before starting though! 12st 10ish and now 14st 10. I don't want to be nearly 16st when giving birth! I am a binge eater when stressed... And v stressed ATM! Argh!

I was 10st 2 before getting pregnant with dd1 and struggled for 10 years to lose it ( went up and down a lot).

Mythree thanks :) I can't run but I love swimming and walking and have enjoyed pregnancy yoga so will look into post natal /regular yoga. I picked up a pregnancy Pilates DVD recently but haven't done it yet.

Naturegirl82 · 20/10/2013 20:51

I've come to the sad conclusion that I can no longer sit on the sofa Sad. Even lying down my back hurts. Looks like I'm relegated to sitting on a cushion on the floor leaning against a gym ball. Not relishing the prospect of another 12 weeks of this.
