Do the late private scans claim to give any clues about when you might actually have the baby?? Guessing not, but how useful would that be!

Percypiglet · 18/10/2013 08:34

Feel a bit silly now as woken up today with normal vision, 10 hours sleep and a 40 min nap yday evening. Have this feeling I was just "overtired".... I was so tired I started crying yesterday which was a bit disconcerting. Think the 3rd trimester tiredness is approaching....I'm 27 wks tomorrow and I get the feeling the tiredness is going to be bad and like the first trimester.

Purple - thanks for the comments re eye sight, felt a bit mad yday!

Have a good Friday (thank crunchie!) everyone!

Mythreeknights · 18/10/2013 08:55

percy I am also 27 weeks now and starting to feel like everything is getting harder, I have less strength and I am far more emotional. Envious of your long sleep last night...following a work week from hell, I have been awake with insomnia for a couple of hours each night this week. I was also woken up with some stripping BH in the night, strong enough for me to think 'heck, I need to get some stress out of my life'. Fingers x is weekend we can all sit back and enjoy some downtime. Next week tho I am working at an event in London from 0900-2200 weds and thurs...after that I have promised myself I will take it easy. Glad your eyes are better, must have been scary having double vision.

TobyLerone · 18/10/2013 09:42

Bloody hell. I forgot I'm in the 3rd trimester now. I'm a bit sad about it and feel like I've missed out on the 'blooming' part. I've just felt the same all the way through (which, luckily, has been fine for the most part). But the tiredness has never really gone away.

Glad your vision's better, Percy :)

What's everyone doing for the weekend?

It's DS's 14th birthday tomorrow so in the day I'll be making him a cake, and in the evening we're going bowling. I offered him some cash to do something with his friends, but he said he wanted to go bowling with me, DH, DD and a friend. Bless him :)
On Sunday we're off to Whitstable in the morning for DS's rugby match, then I have to go and fetch my mum from Gatwick in the evening. Better try to fit in an early afternoon nap, I think!

Sultanajo · 18/10/2013 10:07

extra trampolines! Ekkkk! My scan unfortunately doesnt give delivery date predictions, but that would be cool!

percy what a relief! Dont feel silly. I would have been worried too!

Toby you have stupid fibroids and had contractions, so not surprised u feel as though u missed the blooming stage! I think for me I felt so much better when the nausea lifted at 16 weeks that time then started to fly by. I have still been a lightweight when it comes to staying up at night though! Blush

Am off to a conference this weekend which is 4 hours away and then on my way back monday am stopping off midway for the scan and then going to see my mate who will be 37 weeks!!! So its not gonna be a mega relaxing chilled out one and I am praying I can sleep in the hotel beds! Must remember to buy more rennies!!! Hmm

quackojuliet · 18/10/2013 10:15

Hello all!
Been on here previously but not for a while... Now at 28 wks its all getting a bit more about impending birth and baby than the pregnancy!
Feeling knackered like many others and got a horrible cold which I'm treating with water, honey and crap magazines. Any other ideas? Heartburn from hell means the old lemon and ginger combo is a recipe for hours of pain. Grrrrrrrrrr
I've also got a 30ish week scan booked, groupon 4d deal but the clinic seem like complete eejits so I'm struggling to book it...looking forward to seeing what the hell this bubba is doing in there because feels like some kind of interprative dance.
Happy weekend all!!

TobyLerone · 18/10/2013 10:28

But I've felt fine all the way through. I'm not complaining about that, obviously! But suddenly I'm thinking "wait, did I get the lovely skin and thick, shiny hair and not even notice it?!"
The nausea lifting was obviously a huge relief. And I definitely remember that. So perhaps that was it. And it was lovely :o

Hope your conference isn't too knackering, Sultana.

Hi again, juliet :) Hope you feel better soon. I think all the usual natural cold remedies (chilli, ginger, garlic, lemon) are the enemies of your delicate digestion at the moment, so paracetamol and fluids would probably be the way forward.

Good luck with your scans, all who are having them!

Solasum · 18/10/2013 10:32

PELVIC FLOORS.

That is all.

extracrunchy · 18/10/2013 11:46

So this morning DS started at a new nursery and I meant to text DH who dropped him off, but texted my boss by mistake... Boss is also on his way to Paris.
Text said: Ma baby boy is ok? X
Hahahahahahaha... Ahem

Naturegirl82 · 18/10/2013 12:11

Haha extra I just had to stop myself from laughing out loud as I'm on a teleconference! Haha Grin

Sultanajo · 18/10/2013 12:33

extra Lol! DH texted his mate instead of me the other day which said "drive carefully. love u"! Grin

I feel your pain juliet. Hope your cold buggers off soon!

Toby I think I may have taken the clear skin and full hair in the second trimester for granted! Am feeling bad now! Will spend some time appreciating it in the mirror once I have finished watching GBBO! Grin

extracrunchy · 18/10/2013 13:21

Nature I snorted out loud on the bus when I realised.
Even better, he's being so careful with preggo employee who is clearly mental, his response was: "Morning. Just checking into the hotel. Have a good day." HAAAA...

Naturegirl82 · 18/10/2013 14:14

Haha extra that response is amazing! I bet he didn't know what to write! Grin

BandontheFun · 18/10/2013 18:30

Hey! Hope your all well!

Pretty productive week for me spare room cleared, painted and carpeted just the furniture to come tomorrow, then I'm going to go a bit crazy with the old sewing machine.

Had my 28 week check up today, everything seems ok, had keytones (is that how u spell it) in my urine but the midwife didn't seem that concerned just asked me if I had food this morning or had any sugar!

Extra I have so much fear about texting the wrong person, just incase! Tho ur boss's response was funny!

Getting harder to get into a position for sleep now....eek!

Mac2014 · 18/10/2013 22:48

On the train back from London, from my course.

I have definitely hit the wall of exhaustion... Or third trimester, I'm 28+1. Had to prove I was fit to fly (with my mw letter) on the way back despite being overseas... How did they think I had made it there?

I've decided that was it, got to treat myself better now! No more racing around and a lot more letting go!

nature your bosses response made me snort on the train. Love him!

extracrunchy · 18/10/2013 23:13

I'm with you Mac. Just suddenly feels like EVERYTHING is too much...

Mac2014 · 19/10/2013 07:10

Agree extra - need to slow down and GET MORE SLEEP!!

percy v jealous of the 10 hours, can barely manage 5 a night at the moment.

Up early and off to a family wedding up North. Planning on napping in the car!

MrsVDB · 19/10/2013 07:33

nature that is sooo funny!!!!

TobyLerone · 19/10/2013 07:42

Sorry you're so knackered, Mac. Hope you can catch up a bit this weekend. Have a lovely time at the wedding!

It's DS's birthday today and I'm the only one awake. I miss the days when he was in my room at 6.30am wanting to open his presents!
Quiet day today, though. DD is here this weekend (she's just started living with her dad) and she wants to go to the library but doesn't want me to go with her. And DS is going out and DH has some work to do, so I guess I'm Billy No Mates :o

Toothfairy78 · 19/10/2013 08:39

Goodness me, am so glad I've not miss sent texts to colleagues. DH and I txt the most random things and sometimes I say really mean things!

sultana your DH txt wouldn't have batted an eyelid with DH and his bunch of mates. They routinely address each other in writing and in person as "Fluffy" and sign off with "ML" (man love). They're all sporty types, white collar professionals, married or nigh on married, with (or nearly with) kids. They are completely silly.

Am totally with you guys on the "EVERYTHING is to much" front. ToothJr has taken to keepin me awake loads throughout the night, having discovered a tickly patch to kick too. And it's frustrating barely going at half your normal speed at anything. Takes twice as long to do anything now!

Well, must get up, the in laws are stirring downstairs and we're off to Guilford to look at furniture...and maybe some baby stuff if there's shops for that ;)

So what are you going to see on your sewing machine band?

Toothfairy78 · 19/10/2013 08:41

Oh and must wish everyone a good weekend. hope you all have a good one!

Be sure to SQUEEEZE!

And get some sleep. X

Naturegirl82 · 19/10/2013 10:25

Well my day was meant to be spent waiting in for a delivery (that didn't turn up last weekend without any notice) so just phoned to check definitely coming today as rearranged but nope! And no phone call either! I'm so mad! Their current solution is for me to do the two hour round trip back to the shop to replace the damaged parts! Fabulous. Glad I bothered phoning though as I hate waiting in for things. Probably still won't be going anywhere as lots of furniture to put together. Off out for dinner tonight for mine and Dh's wedding anniversary. Can't wait Smile

Happy weekends everyone

MrsVDB · 19/10/2013 11:23

Had my 4d scan yesterday. Was really nice experience and got to see what he'll look like (cute! But he does have my nose which is a shame as dhs is much nicer) but was a bit melted plasticine looking which we expected.

Have a great weekend everyone :)

charlottesweb87 · 19/10/2013 12:16

Hi I am just checking in! Due 16th January with a baby boy! Grin So excited to finally be in the third trimester. Starting to get tired now though.

Swannykazoo · 19/10/2013 13:10

I'm glad I'm not the only one that's flipping knackered. Really hectic day yesterday, prob did a bit much running around and wearing a large lead apron to cover me and bubs for a few xray cases has led to a bit of twinging around the old pubic symphysis today - hoping its not SPD arriving. On call all weekend too so praying the emergency fairy keeps everybody at home. 7 weeks left to work....Thinking the countdown has well and truly started!
