Yyyyy Five Guys burger! Have the small one. It's still the size of a Whopper. And don't get the spicy fries. If there's a queue, it's worth it!
Am jealous, tooth. Book of Mormon is amazing!

NCT sale is at NKS, loulou.

MrsVDB · 05/10/2013 09:29

Morning! I got woken up first by cat that had bought a mouse in at 4.30 then noticed d h wasn't home despite a text at 1.30 saying he was on his way home. Just as I was writing fb message on his friends wall to try and locate him he stumbles in. Not impressed

MrsGSR · 05/10/2013 09:32

space so great to here how well Idris is doing! Well done on persevering with expressing :)

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend :) I'm dragging DH to a local pram shop and then we're making a start on our Christmas shopping :)

Frizz1986 · 05/10/2013 09:47

tooth very very jealous.

mrsg god I have forgotten about Xmas!

BookTart · 05/10/2013 10:12

Kill him mrsV, nobody would convict a pregnant woman.

Xmas mrsg? I knew there was something I had forgotten. I might have to cancel it in this house :)

choco, are you further east? There is an nct sale in Canterbury on the 20th as well if that's closer.

Sultanajo · 05/10/2013 10:20

Glad its not just me with bra removal bliss! Hadnt thought of back extenders - will invest I think....

Good luck at the nct sale toby and book - hope you get some bargains!

space so great to hear Idris updates - changing nappies and progress with expressing! Yay! Grin

toby poor you with your internal bruising! I can only imagine how that must feel - had some big kicks this end, but they havent been painful so far.....

yy to the waking in the morning for no reason. For the last week it has been 3.30am and havent been able to get back to sleep. However, despite getting up a record 6 times to pee, I actually stayed in bed asleep for the best part of 11 hours!!! Feeling so much better for it! Grin

Boring chores today and working tomorrow night, but gonna try and get to an NCT sale tomorrow and also have a swim.....

Hope you all have lovely weekends!,Grin

chocoloulou33 · 05/10/2013 12:47

Yes book I'm quite close to canterbury so will check that one out I think. I've never been to one before. I don't need clothes just everything else. Got a killer headache 2day an my lovely oh getting up soon (he works nights) is going to cook with the girls. Apparently I'm gonna get cheese straws and chocolate brownies yey x

MrsGSR · 05/10/2013 13:35

Oohh, cheese straws, I'm adding them to my baking list next week!

Ouch Nature! I hope you have a better day today :)

Good to know I'm not the only one waking up randomly during the night! And feeling very relieved when taking off my bra at the end of the day!

Sultanajo · 05/10/2013 14:49

choco that sounds like my idea of heaven!!! Cheese straws AND chocolate brownies! Grin

BookTart · 05/10/2013 14:56

Damn it! I just picked up a box of cheese straws in M&S and then put them back Doh!
Nct sale was good. Glad we got there when it opened though, it was mayhem on the way out. I spent about 30 quid on clothes, but have obviously failed to buy much that is useful. Thought of humpty when the woman next to me was complaining loudly about all the clothes having ears :)
My shopping success was only slightly tarnished by finding not one, but two samples of Tena Lady at the bottom of the bag when I got in. I clearly look like i have pissy knickers Sad

Sultanajo · 05/10/2013 16:04

book thats hilarious! Grin Am glad DH is coming with me tomorrow. Am feeling a little apprehensive and have this picture in my mind of crazy pregnant ladies all grabbing and fighting for stuff....Hmm Am mainly going for clothes so hoping to come away with at least one item.

Do people have signs with how much things are or is it like a car bootie and you just have to ask?

BookTart · 05/10/2013 16:40

There were clothes rails ordered by age and gender. Each item has a price pinned to it and the name of the seller, and they give you a big bag on the way in. On the way out you pay for it all in one go, so I guess they pay the money on to the sellers afterwards. It was mostly people with pushchairs at our one, but the odd pregnant woman. There was a cake stall on the way out as well, which I managed to swerve somehow :) All the stuff was really cheap, I don't think I paid more than £4 for anything and that was a grobag so I was pretty pleased with it. There were lots of cheap slings, pushchairs and bouncers as well, and loads of toys.

daughterofafarmer · 05/10/2013 17:17

{Sticks head back in, takes a look around. Arghhh I'm never going to catch up on all the news!}

Gordon Bennett it all been going on, hasn't it. Can't believe we have 'our' first baby. Eeekkk!

daughterofafarmer · 05/10/2013 17:18

Will make more effort to keep up!

chocoloulou33 · 05/10/2013 17:21

Sounds good book apart from the tena lady of course.

Well the brownies have been made coz that's what I wanted first lol. Also made choc chip muffins. Cheese & onion straws are now in process of being made. Oh thinks he's jamie oliver or something though and really being a bit particular about it all. As long I get them soon I dont mind. Eating lots 2day :)

Sultanajo · 05/10/2013 17:26

Thanks for the insider info book! Well done for swerving the cake stand!,Grin

choco how funny your OH taking baking so seriously. Sounds yummy though!

Frizz1986 · 05/10/2013 18:34

I made brownies today but cant eat them as they are for cake decorations tomorrow Sad
Did make homemade mushroom ravioli for tea with a sage butter sauce and it was immense. Am now taking pooch on her walk and dh has hinted that we may pop into the shops to buy sweets!! Yay!
Need a nice sleep tonight as tomorrow i need to make all the cakes and clean the kitchen as well as see if i have the energy to a bit more in the nursery.

Glad some bargains were had at the nct sales. Mil bought me a big mass of mat clothes. I think she is excited about grandchild no 1 and wants to make sure i have enough for myself for winter as i get huge. Very sweet of her.

TobyLerone · 05/10/2013 18:58

We didn't get to the NCT sale until 12.30 because DH was late back from his driving lesson, so the good stuff must have been gone :(

There was also a massive queue outside, which we joined, not realising that we could have gone straight through because we are members.

Then we took my nephew swimming, which was adorable! He wouldn't let go of DS for a second. DS, DD, and eventually DH (after some persuading by DD!) went off on the water slide a few times and he was asking for them the whole time they were gone. The second they came back, he was back in the arms of DS again :o

I'm knackered now. Came home, made bolognese sauce and put it in the slow cooker so that it was ready when we wanted it and I wouldn't have to cook later, and I'm so glad I did because I've just woken up from a 2hr nap and it was all I could do to heave my bulk off the sofa to put some water on for the pasta, let alone cook the sauce!

I didn't make Humpty's cookies today, but I'll do them tomorrow while DS is at rugby training.

The baking going on in loulou's house sounds amazing!

Nice to see you back, farmer. Whatever prompted you? :o Wink

How's your shoulder, sultana?

Naturegirl82 · 05/10/2013 19:01

What a day! Think we have decided that we are going with the upperbaby vista with maxi cosi pebble car seat. Not at all the price range I anticipated buying in but seemed like you got a lot more for your money with that and it seemed worth it. Waiting till the end of the month to get it though as we can get 10% off Smile . Also Dh bought me a nursing chair. We had been looking at them before but I thought they were a little expensive but found one on offer with an additional 20% off Grin . Also found our nursery furniture. Again it's on offer and an additional 20% off. Going back with Mil tomorrow so she can see it and will order it then Grin Totally didn't expect to get all that sorted in a day. How exciting.

Glad the nct sale was worth it Smile
Oh and my wobble cushion arrived. I think it's going to be like sitting on a gym ball all day which can only be a good thing.

I too enjoy the bra removal time. It's not as bad now I went up a back size but still very satisfying.

MrsVDB · 05/10/2013 19:51

Nature that's exactly what we went for. Try baby nest in croydon. They did all that including family fix isofix base for 830

Sultanajo · 05/10/2013 19:56

toby your nephew sounds adorable! Glad the swimming went well and well done you for sorting the bolognese early! Thats very organised. We are being naughty and having chinese tonight, although we cant go and get it til 8.30pm. Meanwhile am battling fecking heartburn. Angry Have been raging all day and this has just pissed me off even more! Angry Oh dear..... I feel like having a tantrum for the second time today

Thankfully toby my shoulder is back to normal today. Grin

Sultanajo · 05/10/2013 19:57

nature yay! Another Vista girl. Well done for getting so much sorted today. Grin

daughterofafarmer · 05/10/2013 20:55

Gosh some of you have had a busy day Grin DH has cycled 12 miles, cooked me smashing roast chicken and put DD to bed. Utter star. Not doubt he'll snore the house down tonight so that will serve me right for being a princess slob this afternoon Wink

Anyone else in heartburn hell at the mo? Comes in waves, fine one moment and the next..arghhhh! Pain.

Have slowly start to think about Christmas shopping, online will be the way forward this year. As I nearly had a full melt down in the supermarket this afternoon, it was so busy and hot. I could just feel myself getting total stressed out. Utterly pathetic really Blush Thinking about getting DD a micro scooter.

Talking about slow cookers, anyone willing to share some recipes? Have a slow cooker but never used it, think a few test runs needed before Jan.

daughterofafarmer · 05/10/2013 21:01

Forgot to say, I had the flu jab on Thursday. Holy cow my arm is so effing red and sore. Never had it before, I'm guessing this is normal?

Went a bit mad and had 2 inches cut of my hair yesterday and had a fringe cut in. Only had my hair cut 7 weeks ago and it's grown 1.5 inches in that time, those types of hormones are great Grin
