So I am going to be on my own tonight... Anyone recommend some comedy chick flicks to sate my hormones???

Squiffie · 27/09/2013 20:21

Got my bfp this morning - been ttc for almost 2 years but still a bit of a shocker Shock

I think my edd is 14/5/14

BananaHammocks · 27/09/2013 20:25

Congrats Squiffie! Friends of mine took nearly years to conceive too, she is weeks away from her due date now and going well!

Brodicea · 27/09/2013 20:29

Wowzers squiffle! Congrats!

I'm a lurker on this thread although I am on the stats spreadsheet: due 4th May. There ARE a lot of Maybies - I'm thinking of lots of summer shagging? Perhaps even holiday shagging? Afternoon delight? etc?

Ali I am obsessed with Game of Thrones, just read ALL the books as I couldn't wait until next year to find out what happens next - now, I just can't wait for the next books!

PFJ - Bridesmaids?

LongTailedTit · 27/09/2013 20:32

Evenin' all... Just place marking so I don't lose the new thread, am away at my mum's, still feeling rough tho. Shreddies are helping with morning MS, the rest of the day is less fixable. DM tells me I look like a 'dying duck', flattering as ever!
Bath and bed shortly, DS was up and perky at 5 this morning Hmm

8+5

BananaHammocks · 27/09/2013 20:35

Has anyone else got to 6 weeks and not a hint of morning sickness? It's concerning me how totally normal I feel! I think going cold turkey on caffeine and alcohol might be helping me feel better than normal even! Confused

lolablu · 27/09/2013 20:35

Whenever I watch films at the moment they have to be the ones I know, mainly so I can fall asleep/lose interest/ not get surprised. soppy sap that I am :)

FacebookStoleMyLife · 27/09/2013 20:36

I'm really enjoying them Alioh but they are a bit life draining, the sheer length and volume of them means don't start unless you want to get tied down for a while. They're very detailed and remembering the characters and how they connect can feel like a real test at times. But if you like a bit of drama and fantasy they're epic

pfj can't go wrong with When Harry Met Sally, Four Weddings, Clueless or Bridget Jones I think.

Welcome Squiffie, and congrats on your BFP after all this time

Cybercat · 27/09/2013 20:42

Hi Banana, I have no MS so far either - I don't want it but it would be reassuring. The only symptoms I have are PMS type symptoms (sore boobs & tearful occasionally). Oh and I'm not ravenous all the time, I usually spend every waking moment thinking of my next meal but I just can't be bothered!

BananaHammocks · 27/09/2013 20:49

Hi Cybercat, I don't think my mum had morning sickness so hopefully I just take after her! Can't check with her yet as haven't told her!

How many people have you all told so far? I've told DH and my best friend and that's it!

Cybercat · 27/09/2013 20:51

I can't say the same! I've blabbed to next door neighbours, work colleagues, one of my friends (ok, 2 but lets hope DH doesn't read this) and both sets of parents/siblings know. Ooops!

AliOh · 27/09/2013 20:53

Hmm maybe I'll give them a miss for now then facebook struggles to keep up with the characters in the TV Series!

Welcome to the Maybies squiffie and congrats :)

Squiffie · 27/09/2013 20:54

BananaHammocks I'm 7+2 until I see a midwife and she changes it and I've had no symptoms!

I've not told anyone yet, well except DH anyway!

Squiffie · 27/09/2013 20:55

This is DC 3 for us, we have DS 5 and DD who's 3 next month!

moominleigh94 · 27/09/2013 21:10

Welcome to the Maybies squiffie, congrats Grin

ThePFJ · 27/09/2013 21:11

I think a Bridget Jones fest is in order.... thanks girls... or Kinky boots...

Well I have my grapes and curly wurlies...... my 4 cats roaming around being mental... but the house always seems so quiet when I am on my own..... 'Allll by myselfffffffffffff - don't wanna beeeeeeeee......' (sorry Bridget Jones hasn't even started yet.....) Hmm

NannyPlumForPM · 27/09/2013 21:13

Welcome welcome. I have a question about bras actually rather than boobies... If it is causing irritation in my armpit do I assume I have the straps too tight?

NannyPlumForPM · 27/09/2013 21:18

Oh my god am watching 16 and pregnant and Am in floods of tears !!!! The baby stopped breathing and was whizzed away an I can't stop watching Sad Sad Sad

ThePFJ · 27/09/2013 21:27

NannyPlum Boys your age should have a bra fitted... pop into M&S and ask for a fitting, after they have spent 30 mins laughing at your boyish figure I am sure they will find the right lacy training bra for you.
Please tell us that baby is going to be ok... wait - it's TV - I am sure baby will be fine.......... Hmm

CoffeeGuzzler · 27/09/2013 21:32

Banahammocks my doctor said that the tendency for sickness or not often runs in the family. So maybe ask your mum or sisters if they had much?

Welcome Squiffie. Many congratulations.

Got the new iphone oh yeah. My fat fingers don't deserve that phone.

moominleigh94 · 27/09/2013 21:35

I'm watching One Born Every Minute... old episode, about unplanned pregnancies. One woman who's nearly 40 and the other who's 18 :)

moominleigh94 · 27/09/2013 21:38

Coffee, not sure that always works - no-one in my family had morning sickness at all really, which is why my parents are convinced I'm having twins Hmm

CoffeeGuzzler · 27/09/2013 21:46

moomin Yeah it's more of a guide really. Definitely doesn't work all the time. Twins!! Do you think morning sickness is worth it for the privilege (!) of two-in-one labour pains?!

AliOh · 27/09/2013 21:47

Moomin think I watched that OBEM episode the other day :) I'm addicted at the moment, much to DPs horror. Although I did catch him watching it when we first found out Hmm

Agree with you coffee my mum was asking me if I was getting sick and I said mainly just nauseous in the evening - she said she was exactly the same.

NannyPlumForPM · 27/09/2013 21:47

Baby was fine :) ! Yes I think my boyish figure stumped the mothercare lady. I think she was just surprised to see a young lad in her shop demanding a bra fitting tbh...

Maybe that made her get the figure wrong? Wink
