I have just had a really difficult nights sleep. I had horrible reflux and was awake tossing and turning at 1am. Then finally got to sleep only to wake up early again bit feeling so nauseated i was almost sick (haven't been yet) I am hoping this nausea follows my normal pattern of getting better during the day and then not coming back till evening or it is going to be a long day

AliOh · 01/10/2013 07:42

8+1 today :) how is everyone counting their weeks? I'm 8+1 so that makes me at the beginning of my 9th week doesn't it? Or that's what my app tells me Confused

Sorry to hear you are having a bad time of it random
I promised myself that I'd enjoy every minute of my pregnancy - so far all I've done is complain about how rubbish I feel - DP not impressed lol

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 01/10/2013 08:29

8+1 means 8 weeks 1 day pregnant, so at the beginning of your 8th week.

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 01/10/2013 08:33

Pregnancy isn't an enjoyable glowing time for everyone, sometimes you need to accept that you won't be able to enjoy every minuite of it. Trapped wind, sensitive teeth, head down the toilet, feeling sick all the time, pelvis and back pain. These are jut some of my pregnancy symptoms and I really don't see what there is to enjoy! My dh would also know to run and hide rather than tell me how unimpressed he is. But maybe that's because this will be baby number 3! Grin

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 01/10/2013 08:35

Urgh, I'm sorry. I just feel so crap myself it annoys me when people say they have to enjoy every moment I it, that's how I ended up with AND the first time around :(

I'm coming across as such a bitch on this thread! I'm a lovely person, honestly I am Grin I'm just feeling sick irritable and crap. I think I need to step away until I feel better or I'm going to end up upsetting someone!

thistlelicker · 01/10/2013 08:56

Oh I must be counting wrong, I tought 8+1 meant u start your ninth week, as you already have had 8 weeks of stuff happen!!!

NannyPlumForPM · 01/10/2013 08:57

I actually can't stand pregnancy and not hugely fussed on the 0-6 months stage last time

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 01/10/2013 09:03

Yes thistle it is your 9th week of pregnancy but you'd say you were 8 weeks or 8+1

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 01/10/2013 09:04

Grin nanny

thistlelicker · 01/10/2013 09:04

Yeh but u said up thread beginning of 8th weeks? Sorry if I confusing matters!

AliOh · 01/10/2013 09:06

Yeh that's what I thought thistle because if you were 0+1 that's your first week and 1+1 is your second week and so on?

Lol CBeebies I do actually want to enjoy every minute - because it's my first and I feel like I have been waiting so long to actually be pregnant - truth is as much as I might moan that I'm sick I don't actually mind because it means I'm finally pregnant and DP knows that :)

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 01/10/2013 09:07

Your right I did! I'm slowly loosing the plot! 8weeks 1 day pregnant is 1 day into the 9th week. But you would still say 8 weeks rather than 9 weeks as your not 9 weeks yet

thistlelicker · 01/10/2013 09:14

I'm 9 weeks tomorrow.... I'm 8+6 today!!!! It's dragging!!!!

FacebookStoleMyLife · 01/10/2013 09:17

ME TOOO Cbeebies! I hate being pregnant, I'd just about blocked out how rubbish it was last time before we planned bean no.2. Safe to say it's all come flooding back now.
I just have to remind myself that none of this feels as awful as losing my last pregnancy did and that I really desperately want this baby. Sigh, don't always listen to myself though (curls up on sofa grumbling)

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 01/10/2013 09:37

Facebook how far along were you? It's hard being pregnant after loosing one. Have you found he posifrikintivity thread, it's really been a life saver just to chat to other people who know how I'm feeling. I've lost 6 and that doesn't help with the irritable grumpy mood. I have my 2nd early scan tomorrow and I just don't want to know :(

(I figured as no one said yes cbeebies fuck off, I have permission to stay around as long as I'm less itrratable Grin)

wm3010 · 01/10/2013 09:38

Morning all, can't believe you are on page 9 of the new thread already! Feeling a bit sorry for myself today as my breakfast came straight back up and am currently "working" from home as I'm too scared to get the train to work in case I am sick again. It's my first actual sickness, the rest has just been nausea. I'm thankful now that I had already told my boss as at least I didn't have to lie to him when I phoned to say I would try to come in later if I am feeling a bit better. I, too, always thought I would treasure every day of pregnancy etc but hadn't anticipated just how rubbish the early days are. Am just hoping the second trimester is a bit better!

thistlelicker · 01/10/2013 09:46

This is my third pregnancy! Furthest we have ever been. Seeing a heart beat twice is something I will never forget as it's the first time we have seen that too!! I don't feel sick or anything! People
Comment I look well but I know I don't sleep! I think they being polite!!

Can I ask a silly question!! I have a raised bmi .... Ok I'm very fat, doesn't that mean I won't show or have a bump!! I feel round ! Also worried about getting clothes that will fit!!!

ThePFJ · 01/10/2013 09:47

banana your doctor is talking out of his rectum. My LMP was 5th Aug. I guessed I was 7 weeks on the dot when I had my early scan... and guess what I was. At my MW appointment yesterday she worked out my dates using my LMP. That's the way it's always been done and you know it. You know what? If I were you I would call the surgery and ask to talk to the practice manager about your concerns. Don't complain, just be all pset and confused... really milk it. The manager will be forced to correct your doctor. He could do with a little humble pie and tbh you can't have him telling people the wrong info and being so damn smug about it. Seriously. o.O

ThePFJ · 01/10/2013 09:51

thistle You will totally have a bump soon..... just you wait Grin

FacebookStoleMyLife · 01/10/2013 10:13

thistle I am, ahem, rather larger than is socially acceptable myself :S With my first I would say it took a fair while to get a noticeable bump but I could barely eat through the first trimester and actually lost weight so I think that's why that was. This time with number 2 I'm so bloated and apparently my stomach muscles have decided not to bother so I reckon if any of my close friends see me now I would have to wear a burqa for them not to notice (they might notice the burqa though). Basically what I'm saying is I don't think your weight necessarily affects when you start to pop.

cbeebies erm I'm sort of a ghost on the posifrikintivity thread, hovering and drawing reassurance from the ladies but not brave enough to make my presence known. I'm 8+1 today, so just past the point where we lost the last one. It is hard isn't it, somehow a lot of the raw excitement has been drained and replaced with paranoia. I so feel for you, what a rough time you've had of it my dear. Just remember your first scan went fine and damn if sheer strength of positive thinking helps at all you've got a MN army willing good results for you tomorrow. Oh yes and don't you dare bugger off! You know better than to think we'd shun you for venting and we'll keep you whether you're irritable or a fluffy cloud of rainbows.

ThePFJ · 01/10/2013 10:20

I am also now past the point I lost most of mine.... It feels good to be over that mark....... Each day is a win for us. Hugs xxxxx

lolablu · 01/10/2013 10:22

not all notes are green.. mine are plain white.. :)

FacebookStoleMyLife · 01/10/2013 10:29

Hugs right back to you PFJ, race you to May 12th! (I think we're the same day aren't we?)
