Congrats Favellio

Chickie I would do them myself, a women I worked with years ago spent a small fortune getting a pre labour pedicure so her feet looked pretty for hospital visitors and ended up needing an EMCS. First thing nurses did was take off the 2 day old polish.

textbook · 01/10/2013 04:50

Congratulations Favellio ThanksThanksThanks hope Jack's back with you v soon x

GTbaby · 01/10/2013 05:37

Chick can u reach your toes?!? I'd get the pedicure. U won't have time for quite w while otherwise.
I get them regularly and missed out on my pre natal treat. So need to mk time for post natal treat instead. Oh who am I kidding! Ill never make time.

ananikifo · 01/10/2013 05:38

Congrats favellio!

DH left a little while ago for his work trip to France. I know I'm being silly but it feel a bit sad and vulnerable. SC at 37 weeks today (woohoo!) and now I'm crossing my legs. Baby's not allowed to come till Friday when DH comes back!

chickieno1 · 01/10/2013 05:47

I was thinking this jelly as I'm having elcs on fri. Had emcs with ds though and no one touched my nail polish :). gt not sure if can manage to paint toes myself but willing to try :). Also feel like I won't get the chance again for ages......

ana try and take it easy while dh away. At least you're on mat leave now, maybe you could meet friends, go to cinema etc?

Iheartcrunchiebars · 01/10/2013 05:51

Congratulations favellio! He is a stunner!

Anyone else up and about. I've had pregnancy itching for a week now and it's driving me mad. (Mainly my legs). Been awake since 4am, have put loads of moisturiser on, midwife says I can take piriton but I'd rather not.

Has anyone else got it?

ananikifo · 01/10/2013 05:55

Chickie I painted my toe nails a week ago and it wasn't my neatest job ever but it's good enough and I don't regret doing it.

I actually do have plans to see friends and go out this week. DH and I have had long separations so I'm sure I'll feel ok. I'm just reacting to him saying goodbye and walking out the door, I think.

MrsHoratioNelson · 01/10/2013 06:02

Morning crunchie and ana I'm up as usual

39+5 and SC - rapidly tending towards the SFW frame of mind...

I'm itchy too - on my tummy where horrendous tiger stripes have appeared suddenly in the last two weeks Sad and on my ankle which is still swollen.

Haylebop12 · 01/10/2013 06:23

Congrats favellio sorry to hear you had a rough time. Hope your feeling ok x

Morning to anyone else that's awake! I'm up expressing as I think my boobs may explode otherwise.

They are talking about Isaac coming home tomorrow! They want him out of oxygen another 24 hours (although that was said yday afternoon) and feeding from me which means that I will be spending all day there tomorrow. He did really well feeding yesterday so my plan is he will be out tonight Wink plus dh has promised we're going out for a curry when he is Grin

iheart please keep an eye on your itching...

ana yes keep them crossed!! Dh made it to me as isaacs head was coming out.

mon can I just ask.. As cant scroll back. Are they taking eliana off you straight away? Please don't worry about feeding. Isaac only had one go at bf in the week he's been in neonatal and although now I'm using nipple shields he's doing well as only been putting him frequently to the breast since Sunday night. (They also have him a dummy but he's not too keen tbh)

Haylebop12 · 01/10/2013 06:24

I mean I'm spending all day there today.

Iheartcrunchiebars · 01/10/2013 06:36

Mrs Horatio glad to hear I'm not the only one itching. Was hoping these last few weeks would be filled will lie ins not extra early wake ups!

Hayle- great to hear news about Issac! It will be lovely for you to have him home.

funkky · 01/10/2013 07:01

Congrats Favello hope induction was ok Thanks. Scared to know i have induction booked for Monday and sweep with MW tomorrow. Really need to meet baby now. Been cleaning and cleaning house to keep clean for arrival.

Chickie! Get pedicure. Had mine done a week ago. Splurged a bit as i had the lady come to my house, couldn't be bothered going anywhere.

MrsHoratio I itch on belly once in a while and saw horrendous stretch marks on belly last weekend, I had been doing so well and keep thinking f baby had come on due date last week, I wouldn't have had them.....

OrangeBlossom2 · 01/10/2013 07:01

Congratulations favellio Thanks hope he is back with you very soon.

Yay fingers crossed for tomorrow Hayley. Enjoy your day with him today.

SC at 37+2 here near the back of the bus but not quite on the cook back seat. Very sore coccyx and stabbing pains inside last night and this morning. Maybe this means the baby has engaged a bit more. Probably just means I did too much yesterday but trying to be optimistic!

MrsHoratioNelson · 01/10/2013 07:17

Its galling Funkky isn't it? I had such a neat bump for ages (still have really) which was great as it made life easier, but the baby is clearly now very uncomfortable in there and it's the suddenness and viciousness of the marks that has taken me by surprise. All of my tummy below my belly button for about 6 inches across looks like I've been slashed and they are really wide marks, unlike the much finer ones I've had elsewhere for years.

DH keeps saying that there's nothing I could have done to prevent them, but its the fact that they've appeared at all that annoys me. And I realise it was inevitable but that doesn't make me feel much better!

JellyCurls · 01/10/2013 08:16

Well I am now 40+1 and my status reads SW with no sign of JellyBaby

Funkky want to send you a sympathy hug I got no stretch marks at all with DC1, my first appeared on my due date with DX2 and belly button popped at same time. With this one, in last week, I have developed full on stretch marks and a volcano style belly button. Thankfully my last one faded very quickly so hope this new batch do too

Haylebop12 · 01/10/2013 08:24

I too developed stretch marks with this pregnancy. None with dd but now they look a lot less red.
Mine look like animal markings now!

pinkbuttons · 01/10/2013 08:32

Morning ladies, happy October!

Sympathising with all thsoe that have stretch marks. I got alot with DS but all at the sides so could hide them, this week have gotten 2 huge ones on the bottom of my tummy Sad DH said all the right things but still goy upset about it.

hayle great to hear little Isaac is doing so well, have a lovely day with him today and will be keeping fingers crossed for him being home asap.

Congratulations fav hope you are recovering well after having a rough time of it xx

39+3 SC and nothing exciting to report. Just ticking along. Have midwife on Thursday but have been told policy is not to do a sweep till 41 weeks, is that just my area? hoping I can persuade her the week after at 40+5 if needs be, suddenly panicking that this baby is in there for the long haul...

Wickedgirl · 01/10/2013 08:36

Chickie........I did my Own toes. I had to do my left foot with my left hand though as I can't reach across my tummy. Any polish that goes on the skin comes off next time you have a bath or shower.

Hayle.......that's fab news.

JellyCurls · 01/10/2013 08:48

I did my own toes on Saturday night and they look ok from up here, better than no polish at all

MrsO27 · 01/10/2013 09:02

Congrats cherry and fav
Happy OCTOBER!!!
Have a severe case of lazy arse-itis at the moment. Still got this cold and have zero motivation to do anything. It's like the complete opposite of the nesting instinct! 37 weeks tomorrow though Smile

cazboldy · 01/10/2013 09:37

Happy October Smile

Congratulations favellio, sorry you had a rough time. xx Flowers

hayle - Go Issac!! Grin xxxx

Hadn't slept great for the last few nights, but had a bath and went to bed early last night, and managed a full 8 hours solid - feel like a new woman today! Grin

SC 39+1
