LyraSilvertongue · 30/09/2013 20:46

Owl, you can create an FB account just to join our group if you don't want to use Facebook generally. Gawjus did that.

Pleeeeaaaasssse, no Breaking Bad spoilers. I saw one on FB written by my brother but realised in time what it was and skimmed over it. I'm at least one season behind Confused

IceNoSlice · 30/09/2013 20:52

DS is at nursery full time, at 13 mo. I'm not sure about them 'being ready', they get used to whatever routine they're in, surely? Is it more about the mum being ready to let go a bit? I accept all kiddies are different in that sense though.

I take full responsibility for the minge-rot (the wording of rather than the acquisition of) Grin

Bollocksed up the stew. Was perfect...dumplings perfectly done. Tasted it and decided to add a little mace. The fucking lid came off! Now the stew tastes like medicine. So fucked off Angry

PiratesMam · 30/09/2013 20:57

Don't worry Lyra I won't say any spoilers. Owl I had a Breaking Bad anxiety dream last night. I woke up exhausted!!

PiratesMam · 30/09/2013 20:58

Oh Joll that would make me cry! Sad How annoying x

Prambo · 30/09/2013 21:04

Neigh.

Prambo · 30/09/2013 21:06

Jolls, I am seriously grieving for your stew. Ruined food is the fucking pits Sad

OwlinaTree · 30/09/2013 21:07

Curses joll!

OwlinaTree · 30/09/2013 21:08

Oooh it's starting!! Speak on the other side pirates!!

Edamame · 30/09/2013 21:17

Welcome Dragon.

Are you still in hospital Kara? Thanks

MummyP - great news, fingers x'd for the refurb being done in time. Though maybe just go there anyway and get delivered by the plumbers etc, make an interesting birth story

Yes Baking, but more like an incontinent donkey in my case

Nooooo Jolls! Gutted for you, it sounded totes delish.

Pram Grin

KEGELS!

Jolleigh · 30/09/2013 21:22

Not just 1 meal worth either...I always make enough for 2 nights when I do something that takes a while. There was more than 2 nights' worth there. And enough for a lunch for DP tomorrow when he's working from home. Fucking clunge stains!

Prambo · 30/09/2013 21:39

You might as well have squatted over your casserole dish and shat in it Sad

Jolleigh · 30/09/2013 21:45

Not entirely unhelpful...made me laugh at least.

JK10 · 30/09/2013 21:46

Thanks for all the support today! Really appreciate it! Not looking forward to fri morn now!! pirates my dd was 2 in aug so really young! And she is very much 'the baby' with 3 older siblings she gets fussed over constantly and never been apart from us/me! Really hope your little one settles well. I know in a few weeks she will be loving it but just a hard process getting there! Silly thing is I've done this 3 times before and I used to be a nursery nurse do I should be as cool as a cucumber ad I know the process do well! I will toughen up!

Do dumplings go with hot pot or just stew?

JK10 · 30/09/2013 21:52

Oops! Lots of do's in last post instead of so! Sorry!

Also missed a whole page on here!

jolls what a total nightmare after all your hard work.

Wonder77 · 30/09/2013 22:07

Just cried all the way through Midwifes. Have the most excruciating trapped wind. Nice. Thought I'd share.

karamcleod · 30/09/2013 22:10

Edam I'm at home, hoping I get to stay at home too!
I have 2 days left on my course of antibiotics and if I'm not magically cured by wednesday I have to go back to hospital.
Can anyone tell me if all these hospital/GP visits will effect my birth plan?

Joll that bloody sucks, I've also suffered 'the lid falling off' horror, I never hold anything above my precious home cooking now.

Decided to watch Bridget Jones to cheer myself up and now all I want is a bloody fag.

OwlinaTree · 30/09/2013 22:15

Am reeling about end of Breaking Bad!!!!!!!!

OMG!!

Nice so many of you want me to join Facebook. I will look into joining at the weekend. Must say would be lovely but am worried I already spend too long on the internet!

SuperMuddle · 30/09/2013 22:33

Hi all,

Welcome dragon, and congrats on the twins! Do you know yet if they're identical, or do you find that out later? Sorry, utterly clueless...

kara, I hope you're OK, and that those suffering from ms, minge rot, etc, feel better soon.

15 weeks today, and the tiredness is just starting to subside; now I only feel as though I need 16 hours instead of 20. Hurrah! Still have teenager-style zits to go with the knackered 30-something wrinkles and eye bags. When can I expect my pregnancy glow to kick in again?

I shall now stop whining like a little bitch.

jolls, I regularly fuck up food. This one isn't so bad, as it wasn't 'necessary' food, IYSWIM, but I baked a cake for DH fairly recently. I was going to be an amazing chocolate fudge cake, with rum truffles on top, homemade honeycomb, fucking lovely. I burned the cake, the honeycomb refused point blank to set and became this squidgy sugar-gack, and the chocolate ganache, which I attempted twice, separated, and looked like diarrhoea from the devil's own arsehole. I basically reverted to a toddler state and had a gargantuan tantrum for about half an hour. The truffles were good though. Grin

apprenticemamma · 30/09/2013 22:35

You lot crack me up with your talk minge rot and tampons hanging out!

At counselling tonight dp presented a two page typed list of my faults! That was fun. (I got my say too, and we both took on board so all good) More uncontrollable greeting though, Sad both of us.

Irn bru. ..work of the devil!

pirates mam Having a breaking bad night tomorrow. After that we will have a huge great void in our lives and will have to fill it with the wire or the sopranos. Thoughts?

off to finish sodding presentation.
Meh.

apprenticemamma · 30/09/2013 22:36

Ps Edamame what's ur gender vibe? Exciting!

Prambo · 30/09/2013 22:50

and looked like diarrhoea from the devil's own arsehole. Fucking class Grin

Apprentice, what do you mean, more uncontrollable greeting though? Is this a typo? Were you already aware of some of the 'faults' he pointed out? What is this job you do with all these 'sodding presentations'? You are always working Sad

Prambo · 30/09/2013 22:51

What is mace, anyway?

apprenticemamma · 30/09/2013 22:53

oooh in other news my work colleague delivered his baby on the hall carpet this morning after a half hour labour. He has just become the team superhero.Grin

Cue lots of 'so how would you like a rapid unplanned home birth ' type comments. Er , no thanks , I have no desire for carpet replacement/dh potentially passing out as he did last time at the crucial momentShock .

apprenticemamma · 30/09/2013 22:57

Hi pram

  1. greeting = Scottish slang for crying
  2. in fairness it was more of an essay about how he is feeling and was not all faults, just a wah of trying to communicate...but I like to add a touch of melodrama to proceedings. Therein may lie the problem....
  3. Yep my work can involve teaching and cpd with colleagues.

I'm fucking sick of working but part of me wants to prove my worth in between two mat leaves. Not that I'm competitive. Grin
