Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

joll i like looking at the real madrid/barcelona teams for 'inspiration' Wink

i imagine a beautiful Mediterranean child but by sods law i reckon my genes will be wiped out by the irish and then baby xabier will look like a bit of a twat

SoSurprised · 26/09/2013 18:01

I am finding boy names difficult too and it doesn't help that I am the last one in my fam and friends to get pregnant so all the good names are taken already.

commsgirl · 26/09/2013 18:19

Pram I love Queenie :)

I think DP thinks I'm giving birth to a middle aged man.

FrankelInFoal · 26/09/2013 18:23

We're probably not going to find out the sex. We're finding girls names easier than boys names though! Thankfully we have similar taste in names - classic but not too old-fashioned - so most if our choices are outside of the top 20, which is one of my criteria. I don't want my child to be one of 3 in the same class if I can help it!

rescoonetwothree · 26/09/2013 18:28

comms why don't you see if he likes jeff?

i'm going outside top 100 and then some for the name if possible

good luck gaw on your scan!!!

Prambo · 26/09/2013 18:28

Thanks, Comms!

My egg donor is Czech. I hate the Czechs. Surly bastards the lot of them Sad

commsgirl · 26/09/2013 18:34

Haha Grey my dad's called Geoff so it's unfortunately off the cards. DP has just suggested Adrian?? He looked dead pleased with himself as well.

Pantomime · 26/09/2013 18:36

I quite like Gideon maybe if its a boy though I am tempted to go for a historical inspired names as both the OH and I are huge history geeks.

MummyPig24 · 26/09/2013 18:37

I'm finding girls names harder! The only one I like is Isla, but I know 3 Islas already! I sort of have a boys short list going on if anyone is interested:
Sebastien (Sebby is too cute to resist)
Rory
Felix (which dh hates)
Finn
Hugo (dh also hates)

MummyPig24 · 26/09/2013 18:37

Ooh quite like Aiden/Hayden

BadlyWrittenPoem · 26/09/2013 18:43

I like the idea of having a historical name like Caedmon or something but that kind of thing is too outlandish for DH. He told me Caleb was too unusual and then some friends called their son Caleb and I was like "See! I told you it was a name that people use!"

karamcleod · 26/09/2013 18:51

I liked xavier as a name for a boy. Everyone in my family seriously doubts if I should be allowed to name a child!

Prambo · 26/09/2013 19:02

Comms, your DH is hysterical in his simplicity! I am having Adrian as a middle name in honour of my dad, without whom I wouldn't be pregnant.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 26/09/2013 19:02

Loving the names!!

Prambo you know how much I love Queenie!!

We are sold on teddy for a boy (short for Theodore). But we found girls so hard to decide on. We can only agree on Molly. I love so many of the more unusual names, but MrM is having none of it Sad. I'd love to go to town on them!!

Prambo · 26/09/2013 19:03

...that sounds fucking weird. What I mean is, dad loaned us the money for the IVF!

Prambo · 26/09/2013 19:03

I love Teddy (my other cat)!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 26/09/2013 19:05

Grin Prambo I dare you to make that the title of a thread....

commsgirl · 26/09/2013 19:08

Maybs we love Teddy! Would probably used Edward if we went for it but I don't think we will.

Pram Grin

rescoonetwothree · 26/09/2013 19:09

pram i double dare you.

BadlyWrittenPoem · 26/09/2013 19:15

I'm laughing out loud at your clarification of what you meant Pram.

Wonder77 · 26/09/2013 19:15

pram best quote so far on all threads!!!

OwlinaTree · 26/09/2013 19:18

Posting as I catch up....

raspberry we are not planning to find out either, but I love trying to guess!

Wonder77 · 26/09/2013 19:19

Don't want to speak to soon but think the nausea has gone!!!!! 14w 1day woo hoo. Sure some other symptom will succeed it but great for now. Still feel like a flab fest though. Need to start running again.

PainAuxRaisins · 26/09/2013 19:45

"I am having Adrian as a middle name in honour of my dad, without whom I wouldn't be pregnant" ha ha!! Also pmsl at 'Athelstan' (although the nn 'Stan' is quite sweet). How about Ethelred? Canute? Welcome to eln - I think I'm due the same date as you so a lot of our milestones are the same (20 wk scan in the 1st wk of Nov etc). There's someone else with their scan on Nov 7th as well. Felt my first kick today!!!

karamcleod · 26/09/2013 20:08

So can I take it that no feedback on Makella means its a bad un?
