I've noticed more pregnajuice recently.

book I'm sorry you've had a bad day, but 'nobody's thought to check that yet' did make me laugh, I hope you said that to her!

humpty I've changed everything except my passport. The lady from the passport office told me as long as I book in my maiden name and take the marriage licence incase they query why my drivers licence etc are in my married name it should be fine. But I have only been abroad once since so I'm not 100%!

BookTart · 27/09/2013 14:56

The only thing I would say about name changes (and I don't know if it would actually affect anyone else) is that when I broke up with ExH years ago I thought that I was okay to just use my maiden name again, did just that and never gave it any thought. When I went to register my intent to marry DP a couple of weeks ago the registrar insisted that I would have to be known as BookTart MarriedName MaidenName at my wedding, because I never officially changed my name back by deed poll. I'm not totally thrilled by this (and I'm sure ExH wouldn't be either!). Luckily DP probably won't even notice!
I'm not taking DP's name because it is so, so horrible. It is really rare, so I'd out myself by saying it, but it is in the same sort of realm as Bloggs or Boggins or something. The baby will be lumbered with it though, poor little thing. Let's hope it is character building!

TobyLerone · 27/09/2013 15:04

I never changed mine on my passport the first time I got married. Just travelled under my maiden name. Then, when we got divorced, I had to hand my marriage certificate in to the Court. So then I had a passport in my maiden name, and everything else in my married name, which I kept because I CBA to change it by deed poll.
Now I've remarried, I have bank account/car insurance in my new married name, bills/mortgage/driving licence etc in my old married name, and passport in my maiden name. It's a nightmare!

Lalunya85 · 27/09/2013 15:08

book I read this article the other day - it definitely has its plus sides to have a "challenging" surname... ;)

BookTart · 27/09/2013 15:21

Oh crikey lalunya, that poor woman! It isn't quite that bad, it's just ugly and doesn't really go with any girl names that I like. I may have to start a thread nearer the time for some suggestions.

Lalunya85 · 27/09/2013 15:42

great idea brook - curious to hear your shortlist. I've just started one - with ONE name in it so far... Wink

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 27/09/2013 15:56

Thank you for the info, ladies. V useful. Presume it's not too hard to change names on drivers' licence/bank acct then?

What about this star ceiling kit?

TobyLerone · 27/09/2013 16:01

Bank account is dead easy. You just go into the bank with your marriage certificate.

I don't think driving licence is hard, but I haven't done mine this time yet, so I'm not one to talk!

Naturegirl82 · 27/09/2013 16:36

Yay it's the weekend Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Lalunya85 · 27/09/2013 16:45

nature - another hour to go here (at least). Time for a hot chocolate to brighten things up a bit... Brew

MrsGSR · 27/09/2013 16:53

Drivers licence is really easy, same form to apply or change your address and send it off with your marriage certificate. It's free if your not changing your picture, but I had to pay £20 as I'd lost the counterpart... They sent the certificate back really quickly too :)

lalunya I only had one girls name on my shortlist! I'm hoping after this one we only have boys as I genuinely can't think of another girls name I like and can use!

AnotherStitchInTime · 27/09/2013 17:49

nature hats off to you, just thinking about a marathon makes me want to lie down and eat a snickers bar!

Frizz you can get star projectors for the ceiling too like this one and this one. I want one now, but for my own bedroom Grin

Sarah glad to hear your niece is doing well. Sorry to hear about your bleeding, you take it easy now.

Ah names, I had loads of girls that I liked, but this one is a boy and while I have a list, I am not set on any of them. It is difficult because my girls have very unusual names from another culture, so I need to find a boys name that goes. DH is no help, he keeps suggesting random joke names to wind me up!

Sultanajo · 27/09/2013 18:25

Am on my phone so am struggling to remember what has been said.

sarah and space hope your bleeding sorts itself out! sarah the lady having a baby and leaving while u waited for an injection sounds about right! Wink Great news about your niece! What a little fighter!

YY to increased pregnajuice and insomnia. Peeing 100 times a night doesnt help. I do daily sniff tests because of the increase in wet patches. They arent pee for me - definitely pregnajuice....

Had a lovely Tesco checkout girl ask when bubs is due today. I thought it was a bit risky her assuming bump is a baby, but it made me feel better that I actually look preggers now rather than chubby! Grin

Sultanajo · 27/09/2013 18:27

Thanks for the pelvic floor posts - and squeeeeeeze! Grin

Sultanajo · 27/09/2013 18:35

toby you would think bank account is dead easy, but I went in THREE times, because they kept getting it wrong! The first time they kept my maiden name but changed it to mrs rather than miss. The second time they got the name right but I only received half my cards. Its really not difficult people!!! Angry

Frizz1986 · 27/09/2013 18:44

Wow. Def gonna show dh those projectors and kits! Smile

My boss got me more nibbles for lifts this week. Gonna pig out lots over the weekend as am off for afternoon tea tomorrow too.

Unfortunately i have no idea what hay smells like, but will assume all is well for now......

I didnt find anything a problem name change wise. Not done my passport yet, but it runs out next year so will do it at some point, and need to write a letter and send off my certificate to do the life insurance. Its the little things i forget about.

Friday yea! but inlaws arriving at 10am tomorrow for 4 days to help us with decorating. Think it wont be a relaxing weekend, and just to add to that, in the last 2 days I've got the bruised pubic area feeling too.... it is uncomfortable and annoying rather than painful. Sooo I have been trying to be good and keep legs together getting out of the car, sitting down to put clothes on and take things a bit easier. Hoping this doesn't last for next 16 wks....!

Have a great weekend everyone.

Spacefrog35 · 27/09/2013 18:55

Thank you all for sharing your 'dampness' Blush feel a bit less paranoid now!

Also feel much better knowing I'm not the only one that can't remember what her name is most of the time. Half my stuff is still in maiden name after nearly 3 years & I'm forever forgetting what name I ordered stuff in! Baby brain doesn't help much either.

percy hope you feel more comfortable soon

Toothfairy78 · 27/09/2013 19:28

Happy Friday ladies!!!

Sounds like there's a lot of wee, PREGNAJUICE and general moistness going on today. sarah & space I hope the bleeding stops soon and that niece continues to recover!

On the name front, the DVLA and passport office were most efficient indeed when I changed name 3 yrs ago. However, the NHS are a bit useless. I have my first name spelt with an extra 't' on the end despite telling them and the hospital has me under my married name while the surgery has me stubbornly under maiden name, even though I told them twice.

Today we went to Hampton Court Palace for a few hours and Tooth Jr decided it would be hilarious to prod me in the bladder pretty much the entire time (and all morning before we left the house to). It made for quite an uncomfortable day. They were also playing at "let's wiggle lots and when dad tries to feel.....sssshhhhh".

Today I'm 26 weeks marking end of second trimester. Yikes!

Anyone else getting out of breath at all?

MrsVDB · 27/09/2013 19:32

tooth I'm very out of breath some days even when not doing anything, I think it's to do with the extra blood we have?

I'm married name for everything except driving license and passport which will get done one day. I've travelled loads and no problems :)

sarahleanne · 27/09/2013 19:50

Thanks for comments re: niece :)
Oh and the bleeding has stopped aswell, for now anyway. Bollocks to going up that hospital again, if I blead but still feel baby move then im not pissing well going please dont shout at me , had a nightmare trying to find someone to pick the kids up from after school clubs yesterday!
need to rant briefly , just dragged me , bump, dd and ds to football , For DS! Got there and he totally kicked off, went mental and caused a huge scene saying he didnt want to play after being reqlly excited to get there. God I really lost my rag and I dont do that often. Im already questioning whether I can show my face there next week. Bloody kids! But I blame the hospital for me being stuck there and hot being able to get ds to bed last night until gone 9pm far too late for a 5yr old. Sorry rant over. So want to get all my frustration out and tell dh but I bloody cant.
Oh and then I got home on my own, good old mother has got the kids overnight flopped back onto the sofa moved my arm and knocked my pissing drink over the carpet!

tooth im out of breath a lot, my boss rang the other day and asked if I was ok as I sounded out of breath, I lied and told her I'd just ran upstairs to get my phone, slightly embarassing. I think it's where bump is crushing my lungs haha.

Have done about 50 pelvic floors now, thanks for reminder :)

Re:names, I think we have a set girls name and possibly boys name but still not 100% on boys name. I think girls are easier to name.

sarahleanne · 27/09/2013 19:54

Ive literally just written that post as though im talking
To myself and rambling on, sorry. Im on a touch screen ipad and I hate it fat fingers.

Sultanajo · 27/09/2013 20:08

Lol sarah! I lie on a weekly-daily basis about running for the phone! Blush

Spacefrog35 · 27/09/2013 20:15

Oh sarah hugs Cake

Totally get not wanting to go back, no shouting from here, just a hug & a virtual new Brew

extracrunchy · 27/09/2013 20:21

Ooh I've just remembered ridiculous name related thing that happened in hospital when I had DS!

I had my name, DS had DH's, so his little bracelet thing had a different name to mine. I went to have a shower, MW said she'd keep an eye on DS for 10mins, when I got back all clean and dressed and went to pick him up, different MW was there and said she had to check my bracelet (I guess in case I was a psycho baby stealer) then had to be persuaded on looking at my notes that he was actually my baby. She said it there was a fire or something and we got separated, different names could cause all kinds of problems. SCARY.
