julietee I had no idea such an idem of clothing even existed! Grin

shropshire go team yellow! My scan appt is 3 weeks on Thursday. Still don't want to know but dreamt last night I saw a big willy on the scan screen!

Feeling really drained and weak today. Not sick (sympathies for those still suffering) but just generally, low. Can't describe it. Just lacking in any sort of umpf to do anything. Three people at work have asked if I'm feeling ok as I "look a bit ropey". Might work from home tomorrow if this doesn't improve.

Still waking up at 4am on the dot every night. No idea why. Bloomin frustrating.

Argh, typed a long post then it disappeared!! Angry

Short version: I'm knackered - DS2 had us up most the night - evidently to give us a taste of the sleep deprivation to come. I got about 3 hours sleep in short bursts last night and feel rough.

Spent all morning with one of my best friends who is going through unimaginable amounts of crap in her personal life (DH spent all their savings (will spare the sordid details of what he has spent it on), has been living a double life for the 15 years they've been married etc) Feel emotionally wrung out but also in a state because she has lots of animals and I'm allergic so eyes are red and itchy, face feels a bit puffy like I've been crying a lot, nose streaming etc. Consoled myself with a McDonalds meal on the way home. It didn't help Grin

I am beyond excited about my scan tomorrow. So is DH. Somany I think my DH wouldn't dare incur the wrath of a crazy hormonal pregnant lady by missing a scan. LOL. I may cry if they can't tell us the gender though, particularly as this one's a private one. Come on baby, be helpful!!

I have ordered a maternity coat from New Look - on sale too! Smile Didn't feel the cold that much in previous pregnancies, despite being heavily pg in winter each time, but I am freezing and have been wandering round in a massive granny shawl when it's cold so took the plunge and ordered one!! Grin

Embarrassing question - is anyone else quite a bit hairier now they're pregnant? Honestly I feel like I'm turning into a werewolf!! Blush Even my belly is covered in a layer of fuzz and am contemplating the need for pretty much a full body wax... Oh the shame. Thank goodness for anonymous internet message boards.

Sassy20 · 16/09/2013 15:30

Jazz - I sympathise. I seem to wake around 3am every night but I at least know I can sleep in the day as not at work at moment but who knows what I'll do when I'm back (supposed to be next week) as working closer to or from home isn't even an option. Hope you get a decent nights sleep tonight. X

laura0007 · 16/09/2013 15:33

Sugar yes me too!! I asked here a few weeks ago if anyone else seemed to be growing hair on their belly and quite a few were so its normal I think! Grin At least mine is blonde so not noticeable!
My scan is tomorrow too so fingers crossed that the babies don't have their legs crossed! Although if mine is anything like its mother it most definitely won't!Shock

gnittinggnome · 16/09/2013 16:54

Had the 20 week scan this morning, and all is present and correct! Plus we get to be Team Blue! I had an inkling it was a boy, as I've spent my entire life thinking I'd prefer a girl, but as soon as I got knocked up I've been thinking how nice it would be to have a boy! I would have been happy either way, but still Smile and one for the gender-guessing, he was a wriggly little blighter too! So DH and I celebrated at the BabyGap 60% off event by buying a lovely little romper suit.

sugar and laura I'm not getting any hairier at all, I'm getting less! I haven't had to wax my 'tache for about three months, which was unheard of before - every 4-5 weeks at least - and ditto for the eyebrows as well! On the other hand I'm feeling the cold a bit, so a layer of fine down sounds quite appealing Smile

sugar good luck for the scan tomorrow!

Thingymajigs · 16/09/2013 17:31

Aww, so glad the scan went well gnitting. Boys are just wonderful and so loving. Although I have zero experience with girls so I'm a bit biased. I'm also predicting boy for this baby. DP thinks I'm wrong though.
I've got less hairy too. Hardly ever need to shave my legs or underarms and can even ignore the top lip hair now. My tummy is a little hairer though but I don't intend to put my stretch marked, wrinkly stomach on public display so I don't care.

jazzcat28 · 16/09/2013 17:34

Yep I am evolving into a yeti weekly.

OP posts:
EeyoreIsh · 16/09/2013 17:37

Another less hairy person here. I seem to shed hair all the time since getting pregnant.

I decided to work from home today, and I had a sneaky afternoon nap. Only it turned into a 90 minute snooze. It was lush. Now I just need to catch up with everything I missed whilst asleep!

20 week scan tomorrow. Not nervous at all, oh no, calm as anything Wink I'm staying team yellow unless mini eeyore decides to flash us Grin

Poppy954 · 16/09/2013 17:57

Great news gnitting. Boys are brilliant like thingy says!
Jazz - I feel like that quite a lot - sort of more lethargic than anything ( and a bit cba!). I'm hoping they'll put me on iron tablets and hoping that'll help.

Talking of boys just working out who already has 2 boys and is on baby #3. I think it's me, somany, sugarmice, thingamajig, 212vip. Is that right? Any others?
Do you have an inkling if what this one is? My dh says girl but I really have no idea either way.

misskatamari · 16/09/2013 18:02

Awwww gnitting congratulations on your scan and team blue! We've just had our 20 week scan and are team pink Grin which agrees with the Chinese gender prediction and not with active scan theory as she has just wriggled constantly at all our scans. Took forever to get the right piccies of the heart today and I had to go and do star jumps to get her to shift! We celebrated with buying some cute sleep suits from sainsburys and a really cute frog sun hat that was only 2 quid!

Hairiness wise I'm normally a right hairy beast so thought I would morph into a werewolf when pregnant but I seem to have got a bit less hairy if anything. Not complaining tho!

Good luck at your scan tomorrow Eeyore Smile I was so nervous before ours but it was lovely x

barebranches · 16/09/2013 18:11

gggdddghjjncxsxnnn im dying... my class have given me germs!!!!

also well jel of all the scans... i still have to wait 2 weeks for mine!

Poppy954 · 16/09/2013 18:14

Brilliant news misskat. It's getting so exciting now. 11 days still to wait.

EeyoreIsh · 16/09/2013 18:26

Great news gnitting and kat Smile

bare I hope you feel better soon. I shifted my cold with lots of honey, lemon and chilli.

barebranches · 16/09/2013 18:30

thanks eyeore i would rather have a ton of drugs.... but even strepsils have 'consult your doc if preg' would a lemsip be ok??

EeyoreIsh · 16/09/2013 18:37

I don't know about lemsip, as it has added caffeine and decongestant. Try a hot toddy and a paracetomal instead?

vix206 · 16/09/2013 18:44

No lemsip. No decongestants allowed when you're pregnant (I think). I know you can't when breastfeeding. Something to do with narrowing blood vessels I think...

vix206 · 16/09/2013 18:46

I absolutely love having a boy. Nothing to compare it to but have loved every second of it. DS started preschool today. Was emotional for me but he loved it. He's going every week day afternoon. End of an era.

winterflowers · 16/09/2013 19:02

Congrats everyone who had scans and good news today, and good luck for everyone tomorrow!

I had a super frustrating 16 week mw appt and didn't even get to hear the hb...

Am also becoming much hairer - wish I was with you guys on the less hairy team! But given how cold and rank the weather has turned this week maybe some extra insulation isn't such a bad thing :)

Try adding some fresh ginger into the hot lemom and honey bare that also really helps and taste delish.

Shropshire you cracked me up yesterday, think we might have to hold you to a bump pic in polo neck esque leggins Grin

tinypolkadot · 16/09/2013 19:22

Loving all the scan news Grin

Mine's a week today, time is going sooo slowly!

I've always wanted a boy for the reasons mentioned above, but can't help shake the feeling this might be a girl.

I think I'm less hairy, don't need to shave my legs as often BUT the rogue hair under my chin has multiplied, so I'm on constant tweezer duty.

CubanoHabana · 16/09/2013 19:27

I'm ultra hairy too! Hubby keeps asking very anxiously whether the hair on my tummy will disappear once baby is born...

barebranches · 16/09/2013 19:59

DH Just bought me hot blackcurrent with lemon. hopefully that will work!

Somanychanges · 16/09/2013 20:24

Ooh so exciting hearing about all the scans and which team you are on.

Bare what date is your scan on? My scan is on 1st Oct

poppy I have one of each my youngest is the boy. I would be quite disappointed with another boy to be honest. I grew up in a family of girls, not a male in sight so I am used to more girls. The other day I saw 3 magpies together in the park so i am taking that as a sign its a girl hehe!

My son really wants a brother so if it is a boy I will be really happy he gets his wish and I am sure I will be happy regardless. But if we are going to have 3 males in the house my husband will have to build me my own loo.

barebranches · 16/09/2013 20:34

27th september lets hope the time goes fast!

marzipanned · 16/09/2013 20:34

Lovely news about the scans and finding out genders but more importantly that the little wrigglers are healthy.

Definitely a yeti here, my tum is covered in hair! We are going on holiday next week, I can't even contemplate trying to remove the pubic beard (stealing that!!)

Feel better soon bare. I didn't feel good today, utterly, utterly exhausted for no reason whatsoever, I wonder if it's the change in weather and light.

I had a movement earlier which was so strong it made my whole body jerk (!) - is that normal?! I thought maybe she was flipping over?

CalloohCallay · 16/09/2013 21:07

Just to say congrats to all those team blues, pinks and yellows so far and good luck for those with scans coming up.

I'm under consultant care this pregnancy and she's decided to bring us in on Wednesday for a chat about my medication due to last week's bleeding, which is good plus it means another scan Grin
