diege · 07/09/2013 18:37

...on *panda's scandi kids website that she linked to earlier...

Natalieand · 07/09/2013 18:52

this one?

JellyCurls · 07/09/2013 18:59

Strictly has started, just what I need to take my mind off Braxton Hicks and soft poo, will catch up later on x

claphammama · 07/09/2013 19:06

wow - good luck nelly!! Do you know what you have? Although I suppose you are not checking MN right now. Can't wait for your news!

pinkbuttons this is so lovely... sounds like you've had a lovely day and he is really trying to make up for his recent behaviour

funkky thanks for asking, yes, my placenta has moved up so all clear for me Grin

chickie deep breaths, deep breaths... how long have they been with you now? I have a 10 day limit for visitor Smile

orange sorry you feel rubbish... We went to Kingston today for the day and it was so lovely. I miss it so much!

feminist I've been promised by both that I won't have to do this walk again Grin

have a good evening everyone!

roofio87 · 07/09/2013 19:20

well I'm having what I think are braxton hicks for the first time and feeling pathetic about it. haha. its a proper dull ache like period pains which is my most hated pain!! and tummy going all hard. I think I'll be ok with labour as I get my baby at the end, but this going on for the next 4 weeks I won't be impressed with!!!

diege · 07/09/2013 19:31

Thanks Natalie, that's the one Blush. I can't really justify it, although I do have 'form' for splurging on the odd designer piece for the dc s, but now you've linked I do feel a certain attachment...
Clapham am I correct in that you had a scan to see if your placenta had 'moved' up? Mine is lateral low and I am having a scan on Thursday to see if has moved. Quite nervous but of course need to know! Can I ask if your scan was internal or abdominal?

OrangeBlossom2 · 07/09/2013 19:47

Diege I had the same placenta checking scan as Clapham and it was just a normal external scan. Good luck with yours!

bluesnowfalcon · 07/09/2013 19:49

roxvox yes please - details are edd 16th oct but now booked for elc 10th. Expecting baby girl and name will be Taylor. Is you need anything else please let me know. I can't add or update as using iPad :)

roxvox · 07/09/2013 20:20

pseudo, textbook and bluesnowfalcon I have updated/added you all to the spread sheet. Sorry if I missed anyone - please let me know if I have!

bluesnowfalcon · 07/09/2013 20:39

Thanks for that roxvox :-)

diege · 07/09/2013 20:46

Thanks orange - much prefer the tummy option!
roxvox would you be able to add me to the sheet please when you can? EDD is 22/October, dc 6.

Smitten1981 · 07/09/2013 20:48

Are any of you dog owners having clingy dog issues? Mine wants to lay on me constantly and howled so much at bedtime last night that we took her to bed with us in the end where she slept on my feet and didn't budge.

She's never, ever done that before and we've had her a year now. She's usually happy in the kitchen at bedtime, but I couldn't leave her howling all night.

Maybe she's training us up for a wailing baby.

SeriousStuff · 07/09/2013 20:50

Is anyone else starting to feel a bit overwhelmed? All this talk of going into labour is now starting to feel so real. It sounds stupid, because we sort of knew what we were signing up to 9 months and more ago but knowing that, by the end of next month, most of us will be back on here discussing feeding and sleepless nights is starting to freak me out. Breathe, breathe...

chickieno1 · 07/09/2013 20:51

Hi rox can you add me to spreadsheet please???

EDD 17th Oct, surprise, CS date 4th Oct, No name yet (yikes)

SeriousStuff · 07/09/2013 20:51

Smitten I swear our dog has started to play up and is more insistent than ever on getting his own way. Maybe I'm treating him differently without realising it - possibly because I worry about him feeling left out soon...

Soupqueen · 07/09/2013 20:57

Yes serious, I can't get my head around it at all. It's so unreal and overwhelming.

Smitten1981 · 07/09/2013 21:00

Maybe we are overcompensating Serious. I'm really hoping the dog and baby will be close when he comes because I don't want her to feel left out, she's my first baby.

And yes to feeling overwhelmed. I had a dream when I was napping this afternoon that I was watching a programme like One Born, but it was called My Tubes and a woman had a baby that shot out and landed on a beanbag, I said to (dream) DH 'ooh, hope that happens for us'. Ha ha. So bizarre.

I am starting to fret about how I'm going to get this baby out though. He feels huge in my stomach already and I'm only 34 weeks this coming Wednesday.

OrangeBlossom2 · 07/09/2013 21:00

Yes the whole birth thing doesn't quite seem like it is going to happen to me yet! Clearly I am in denial.

SeriousStuff · 07/09/2013 21:07

Smitten My Tubes! That's hilarious.

Things that aren't helping my panic levels include:

  • Best before dates on food post Oct 2013
  • TV programmes being advertised for late Oct
  • The fact it will be Christmas when Strictly ends
  • That this is the last weekend I'll be at my parents' as just me. Next time, I'll be someone's mum!
notsoold · 07/09/2013 21:11

We've had problems with our dog as well. She barks a lot now and doesn't come to my lap at all!!! I miss that!!!
It will by our third dc but because of the gd and baby being breech I am losing my confidence....
But 33 weeks!!!

Wickedgirl · 07/09/2013 21:13

I don't have a dog but my cats are being odd. I feel like the pied piper as they keep following my around the house. It's really bizarre. As soon as I sit down there is a rush as to which one can sit on me first (they don't get on so won't sit too close to each other). Yesterday, I had all 4 sitting near me, watching me. Very unnerving. Do they know something I don't know?

Tarlia · 07/09/2013 21:13

Serious Yes, really playing on my mind at the mo. I'm stupidly driving myself mad with the worse case scenarios. Asked DP if I was mean for evicting baby 2 weeks early today, I know it's going on advice but I could say no I guess, he said no way.

Nat I will give you a heart attack and tell you we spent just under £200 on outdoor winter clothes last year for DS not including the boots. (Snowsuit, coat and matching trousers).

diege unless you are going skiing then I wouldn't buy the coat as it will be more of an incredibly thick ski jacket I think.

clapham so glad the men will be taking over school run this week. Are you excited to be finishing up at work?

Natalieand · 07/09/2013 21:19

tarlia to be fair £200 is easily done on kitting them out for a season lol just not on one item. Like if I brought dd a coat and boots from next that's easy like £50-£60 isn't it? If not more that's without skirts tights coats cardigans jumpers long sleeve tops alternative shoes hats scarves gloves (that dissapear off the face of the earth in a daily basis lol)

Got Moses basket out of loft this eve :-) eeeek!!!

And tarlia u are not mean for 'Evicting' baby early, as its stil right near the end plus it would be more mean for holding out and making yourself ill over it when a baby is born it needs its mummy :-) x

Tarlia · 07/09/2013 21:32

nat that's what DP said too :).
That was just for the outdoor clothes, not indoor clothes, shoes and boots. To be fair it's much colder here, so we have no choice but to buy the thickest, wind, rain and snowproof suits.

cherrycherry41 · 07/09/2013 21:32

Hello there ladies, long time no speak! Well on my behalf anyway!! Wink
Flyer glad you remembered me from the earlier threads, I have indeed been lurking for a little while!! Truth is i've not been coping very well this time around and I think that I needed to hide for a bit while the weeks have passed Blush

But the end is near!! 36 weeks tomorrow and will be getting my confirmed ELCS date on wednesday, I already know it will be the w/c 22nd Sept so its looking like i'll be the first single baby ELCS on this thread which is exciting Grin also means im on the 2 week countdown Shock
Quick update- baby measuring big just like his sister. At 34 weeks he was estimated about 7lb 11oz already, got my last growth scan weds so will update then :) DD has just turned 11 months and started walking last week Grin shes definately not my little baby anymore! Sad

All prepared for bambino no.2, double buggy and cot came last week and they were the last things, just need to crack on with washing all his clothes!
No name decisions as of yet but we think it'll be between Freddie, Noah and Harrison. Middle names are Joshua David after DP and FIL Smile

Been lovely looking at all the bumps on the fb group! Hope to see some little squishy baby ones on there soon! Grin

Right, as you were! Wink
