JellyCurls · 05/09/2013 20:21

Good luck for next monitoring of baby falcon, keeping fingers and toes crossed for you x

Can't keep up with rest of thread so no idea who's been saying what. So hope everybody else is keeping healthy and well will try to catch up now but not holding out much hope for myself

Natalieand · 05/09/2013 20:21

For 3 days in hospital uma I would take at least 6 unless your dh can return home for extras? One for day one for night for 3 days that's without any sick or poo incidents lol

Shirehobbit · 05/09/2013 20:21

Another one struggling to keep up now I'm back at work! Confused

I have just packed an 'emergency' mini hospital bag and put the car seat in the car as we are away at a wedding all weekend, and it would be awful to be 300miles away from home and needing to go in...
I'm going with the philosophy that now I've thought about it, it can't happen. Hobbit logic.

Falcon - sending huge positive vibes your way. Hope everything is ok x

roofio87 · 05/09/2013 20:26

I've put 5 sleepsuits and 5 vests in for baby just in case and I'm hoping not to be in for long so I'd pack more if I were you umlauf or at least have them in an obvious place at home so your dh can bring more in to you.
falcon sending positive thoughts your way. like others have said best they are keeping an eye on you and if you have to deliver then it will be for the best!!

Haylebop12 · 05/09/2013 20:27

umlauf I too would pack at least six, more if your dh couldn't easily get more. I stayed in two nights with dd and as she was very sicky as a newborn we got through quite a lot. Plus the blood And other gory bits from delivery!

Soupqueen · 05/09/2013 20:28

falcon, sending positive thoughts your way.

Pinkforboys · 05/09/2013 20:51

falcon I hope all goes well- you're in the best hands xx

Is anyone else looking forward to the break in weather tomorrow? This summer has been fantastic, but it's exhausting!

claphammama · 05/09/2013 20:56

thinking of you falcon xx

pinkforboys me me me me!! I'm checking my weather phone apps obsessively these days... I thought I was going to die on the tube this morning. Anyone else had to go on Northern Line? One of the guys in my team was stuck on it for an hour and a half. I left a bit later thankfully and it was still a nightmare

MotherOfNations · 05/09/2013 20:59

Sorry to here you're back in hospital falcon. I can only imagine how worried and stressed you must be.

Umlauf Are you like me and have to fight the urge to tell strangers in the street that they're wearing the wrong size bra?
I couldn't hold back last week in Asda when I saw a woman with much bigger boobs than me pick up a 38B when I'd just had to buy a 34G. She looked at my quite modest looking boobs in disbelief and went ahead and went ahead and bought the 38B

Natalieand · 05/09/2013 21:02

I'm reluctant to measure my boobs. I currently wear a 42dd and worry if I measure I may find I go up a back size then id be screwed cos I wouldn't be able to buy a bra anywhere in a 44 lol

MotherOfNations · 05/09/2013 21:09

Where do ou normally get measured Natalie? Because if it's anywhere other than Bravissimo, John Lewis or Debenhams chances are your back is less than 44.

MotherOfNations · 05/09/2013 21:09

42 even.

Natalieand · 05/09/2013 21:14

I've never been measured MoN I just no a 42dd seems to fit ok-ish lol

MotherOfNations · 05/09/2013 21:20

A 38 B seemed to fit me until I went to Bravissimo and found out I was really a 32 E. I only went to get fitted because the cups on the 38 were gaping but an A cup didn't fit right either.

Natalieand · 05/09/2013 21:22

MoN when u was at your largest weight what size back did u have then?

Shirehobbit · 05/09/2013 21:23

We so need to name a thread in honour of MoN - bra evangelist, at some point.

Natalieand · 05/09/2013 21:26

Right I'm gunna make dh measure me, what's the link I need? Lol

Umlauf · 05/09/2013 21:32

Sort of mon when I worked there I was really bad at ambushing strangers but I've mellowed a bit now. The worst is when I see people with the band of their bras higher than the back of their strappy tops, then I HAVE to intervene!!

I think I'll get a back up pile of baby clothes for DH to grab, you're right, ill need much more!

roofio87 · 05/09/2013 21:33

haha, mon I love your enthusiasm, definitley made me think twice about my size. I'm going to go to bravissimo next week and get one nursing bra to see me through the start and then see how it goes once my milk has come in!!

JellyCurls · 05/09/2013 21:35

Google bra guru it should come up.

Basically measure under bust and that's back size, no adding on 4 or 5 inches. Then braless lean over 90 degree angle, or as much as bump allows and measure your free dangle. If dangle 1 inch bigger then you an A cup, 2inch is a B and so on. Am sure that's right, I went from a 38B which didn't fit great to a 34 G which fits super

MotherOfNations · 05/09/2013 21:39

I was wearing a 46 B at my heaviest Natalie More than likely completely the wrong size. I've only been wearing the right size for the past 3 years.

AnythingNotEverything · 05/09/2013 21:39

MoN - I struggle to keep my mouth shut! I've been a bravissimo convert for 6 years and am becoming a bit preachy about it.

Natalie - almost all women go down at least one back size and up in the cup. Give it a go. A well fitting bra is the best foundation for any outfit.

I'm struggling to keep up with you ladies though! I've got 8 more days at work and think by then we'll start seeing more babies rolling in.

Char1ston - I send you a PM re: the fb group. I'll try again.

I also need to add myself to the spreadsheet. Phew busy busy!

Good luck to us all in these final few weeks. It's great hearing everyone's experiences.

Natalieand · 05/09/2013 21:41

Surely I haven't done it right

My under chest measures 47 inches :-/ and bust 54 which makes me like a 47f

I can't be a 47/48 when I currently wear 42. Do u even get size 48 bras lol I tried a 42e on the other week and the cup gaped quite a bit

OrangeBlossom2 · 05/09/2013 21:48

How are you doing falcon? Thinking of you and little Willow.

MotherOfNations · 05/09/2013 21:53

Better to round down than to round up for the under bust measurement. You have to pull the tape tight. For the over bust measurement braless is best and lean forward and keep the tape looser.
