Lyra - sushi is quite literally 'vinegared rice'...not the fish. Raw fish is sashimi. What people normally think of as sushi just happens to be made with raw fish.

Am admiring all you ladies still going for it. I'm feeling like either I'm shattered or constipated or just feeling plain fat. Still, DH is excited by the prospect of Bio oil help so hopefully that will keep him happy for a bit. Was super randy in first few weeks.

Feel like I'm suddenly showing loads and like uterus moving upwards even though they've put me back a few days (12+2 now).

To those of you asking after the car bump the other day, I checked in with my dr today and they're sending me for a 'just to be sure' scan which I'm just seeing as another chance to see my dancing little monster again.

Good luck to everyone having a scan tomorrow. Like someone else said earlier, my sonographer/pornographer said it was hard to get a measurement as my bladder was so full... And 20 mons of shaking about and pressing on it meant I was concentrating more on that than the screen at times!!!

Had my scan this morning. All is very well. Seeing that tiny heart fluttering away...just amazing. :)

Also wanted to say how different different hospitals can be. To whomever mentioned about finding childcare for 11 wkscan, my ds was allowed into the scan today. Sonographer's are happy as long as they are quiet and not messing around. They ask you not to bring children along to 20wkscan though. Although they can go in at the end for quick look at baby. Also, addenbrookes charge a fiver for one scan piccy!

How can it be so different. Is it just diffenrent scan machines can do it differently?

Fair enough, Joll. Wikipedia is wrong, in that case. All this sushi talk has me hankering after a hand roll. I've got nori in the cupboard and plenty to fill it but I CBA cooking rice at this time.

Finally got round to ordering DS1's new secondary school uniform tonight. Cutting it a bit fine but it should come in time. There's so much to buy. Might have to remortgage the house to afford it all.

Pram - when he's standing and hard, does he point out or up? If it's out, I'd imagine that position could be quite uncomfortable for you right through. There's more that needs to move out of the way for him to get in!

I'm always amazed how many people dismiss the whole of Japanese food as raw fish (not referring to anyone here). It's like saying Italian people only eat pizza. Stupid. I was once told on another thread that it was ok for idiot XP to give the boys cold pizza for breakfast because "well, the Italians do it". Do they really eat pizza for breakfast? I'm sure the majority don't. Now I'm rambling Grin

Pirates, it will be so worth it. My two 'lose' their clothes all the time, especially the expensive stuff like sweatshirts. If it's got a name it it, it will find its way back to their class. If it hasn't it goes to lost property and any bugger can take it. My pub had only just turned four when he started reception and he was waaaay too young. Still just a baby.

Pram, DP and I never seem to manage that position very well. Side by side with him behind me is fine and is the default at night when we're both knackered. He's not a fan of missionary, which just makes me want to do it that way more. Sigh.
