Been measured at Ann Summers and La Senza, and whilst there's two very different cup sizes given to me in the shops, they both fit in the shop I was measured :) so pretty correct. Cup sizes are larger in Ann Summers it seems!

jazzcat28 · 29/08/2013 20:47

I have ordered some G cups from Debenhams, can't wait to get them and try them for size! Really can't keep wearing the ones I already have (DD) as last night noticed red marks on my boobs where the cups are obviously too tight.

In all the gender announcement excitement on the FB page, can I have a quick show of hands for any fellow team yellows?

I'm starting to think I'm a bit of a spoil sport for not wanting to find out (although there is a month before the scan for DH and his family to persuade me otherwise)

CubanoHabana · 29/08/2013 20:50

Aw eeyore that's sad, I met my friend today who told me that a mutual friend found out at 12 week scan no heartbeat and then one of her friends who was 37 weeks realised that she had not felt baby move that day so went to get checked out to find she had massive haemorrhage and baby had died almost instantaneously... She then had to give birth, had funeral etc...

Don't think my friend really thought about what she was saying to me! Case of foot in mouth...

pettyprudence · 29/08/2013 21:02

im team yellow jazz Grin

EeyoreIsh · 29/08/2013 21:52

Cubano that's awful. I can't imagine getting to 37 weeks only to lose it Sad I have friends who had a baby who died shortly after being born, they were so strong but I can't imagine the pain they must have gone through.

jazz I'm team yellow too.

littlestgirlguide · 29/08/2013 21:56

I'm team yellow too but only because my DH won't let me pay for a private scan!

According to the bra intervention gang (and having been to Bravissimo) I come out as a 28EE/F - still fits me well though I have a couple of crop top/ sports style bras which are so comfy I am wearing them most of the time. My boobs don't seem to get bigger when I'm pregnant, but as soon as my milk comes in, I go up 3 cup sizes! Grin

I'm also getting pains when I sneeze, I think it's just due to the fact all the ligaments soften when you're pregnant, and round ligament pain is very common. I did find it alarming though, especially as hayfever means I sneeze a lot Hmm

Oooh I got an absolute bargain yesterday - been looking at baby swings as I desperately wanted one with both my boys to help them settle but couldn't afford it then. They are mostly £60+ but I got one in Tesco Extra that is being discontinued for £37 (and I had a £4 off voucher so it was only £33) I couldn't care less that the pattern is being discontinued - all the other ones which are exactly the same with different material are £60. So happy days for me...

Must stop spending money though now. Have done a little inventory of what's in the loft and figure the only thing I may need to buy still is girls clothes if we have a girl. Otherwise I have all the kit I need (phew, but I bet I will still feel the urge to shop for cute, if unnecessary, baby things!)

I love my bed too, and will definitely be indulging in an afternoon nap when the boys are at school tomorrow! :)

Hi, Just saying hello. I'm 16 weeks with
DC3, due 14th. I havent posted before due to fear of jinking and fear of public social networking! Great to read about everyone's progress and sorry to those of you who are still feeling rough. Hope you feel better soon. I've got big gaps between my DCs and I've noticed that the midwife care has changed each time. With my first I saw the same mw about 15 times altogether. With the second the same mw about 10 times and this time I haven't seen my 'regular' mw yet and probably won't until 28 weeks. also with my others the mw did a home visit at 8-9 weeks for the booking appt and listened for the hb with the Doppler and found it both times. The only time she didn't find it was in my first pregnancy when I'd had a mmc ( but didn't know until a few weeks later at the dating scan). So I'm quite surprised that some areas won't listed for it at 16 wks nowadays. No probs with this pg but I'm still a pregnancy stress head hence posting on here now. Every next stage is a worry - first scan, nt results, second scan etc etc. But so far so good!

Poppy954 · 29/08/2013 22:49

Jinxing!

Thisisfreakingmeout · 29/08/2013 23:25

Hi Poppy, congratulations. You have to keep your eyes peeled as this thread moves fast. Good luck with your little valentine baby.

littlestgirlguide · 29/08/2013 23:27

According to the Better Bra Campaign suggested above, I am a 34G. According to M&S, a 36DD. Seriously, 4 whole cup sizes? What am I really?! I haven't got enormous knockers, even now, and most high street stores don't stock bigger than an E cup. Let alone in my rural backwater. What should I do? I checked the label of the bra I'm wearing today (fitte by M&S in last pregnancy)... 38C!

Shropshiremummy2B · 29/08/2013 23:36

Welcome poppy!

Join us on our Facebook and you can see how the size of my arse is bigger than everyones bump.

I'm team yellow. Reluctantly. X

HarlemWobble · 29/08/2013 23:42

Hello Poppy!

Raises hand I'm team yellow too Jazz

Just watched the first 2 episodes of midwives and I think when the time comes, I'm going to need the boy/girl surprise at the end to keep me going. I was knackered just watching them push!

sunflowered · 30/08/2013 00:14

Hi poppy - welcome!

I'm team yellow too jazzcat - for now. Used to be dead set against it and said I wanted a surprise, but now it's all for real a part of me is desperate to know. Going to try and hold off though - might sound silly but I feel like if I know what it is I'll start to make assumptions about what it'll be like, whereas if I don't know then I'll be getting to know it without any ridiculous assumptions in the way. Completely illogical and probably makes no sense to anyone else!

Work all done, house (vaguely) clean, suitcase packed, and it's only just past midnight. must be a pre-holiday record.

Thanks for adding me to the fb group - enjoying the bump and bean pics very much

Poppy954 · 30/08/2013 01:40

Thank you for the welcomes. Thanks, I'd love to join the fb group. Shropshire - I feel like I've already got enough of a store for at least three months supply of milk!

EeyoreIsh · 30/08/2013 06:57

welcome poppy. I was due on valentines day and arrived several hours late on 15th. I love having a birthday the day after as it means I get lots of post on valentines day!

mrscookie78 · 30/08/2013 07:51

it's funny how everyone is different, I found m&s to be fine, I struggle to find bra's to fit my non existent boobs. They did a great job at guessing me for my maternity bras! it was great, I had huge boobs whilst bf Grin Grin

Sassy20 · 30/08/2013 08:26

I'm team yellow till my scan on 1st October at which point I will become team pink or team blue depending! Can't not find out as need to prepare dd and do shopping if its a boy! Smile

Milkandtwo · 30/08/2013 08:32

Welcome poppy! Send me a pm if you want to join fb group with your email and I'll add you (it's a secret group so no-one can see our posts!)
Builder's due back any moment. Going to try very hard not to punch them all in the gonads with unleashed preggo rage after spending half the night last night cleaning up what once was a lathe and plaster ceiling from over every surface in the house, including brand new carpet, new cot, pram etc! gaaargh!
Is anyone else getting spots? My face is ok for the mo but loads of little bumps over my chest and back... Are polo necks back 'in' yet? (it's only a matter of time after all)

marzipanned · 30/08/2013 08:37

Welcome poppy! I'm a complete worry wort too and put off joining for a while because of it but I figure if anything goes wrong then the ladies here will be wonderful support! My worst fear is what happened to Cubano's friends - I honestly don't know how I'd cope.

On a happier note, Champagne and all others who were looking forward to autumn, it's nearly September! And the mornings and evenings are definitely chilly up here now.

I don't have any boobs either so M&S do me fine and I always liked La Senza but not sure if they still exist?! To be honest I could probably go without and not have any issues until I went for a jog (which isn't happening any time in the next 6 months to a year..)
