HarlemWobble · 30/08/2013 09:37

Oh, also meant to say that I measured my boobs using the instructions on the better bras link and came out as 32FF?!? I've been wearing 36DD for as long as I can remember, and I know my boobs have grown a bit in early pg, but that's just ridiculous. I must have been wearing the wrong size for yonks!

Think I'll re-measure tonight to check I didn't get something wrong, but if not, looks like ill be bra shopping this weekend Grin

Milkandtwo · 30/08/2013 09:45

Hello Misstopsy22, how you getting along?

marzipanned · 30/08/2013 09:48

Misstopsy we share an EDD! How have you been doing?

Some books I ordered for the baby arrived today including this one:
www.amazon.co.uk/Wherever-You-Love-Will-Find/dp/1250017971/ref=pd_bxgy_b_text_y

It starts "I wanted you more than you ever will know, so I sent love to follow wherever you go"

I can't read it without bursting into floods of tears...need to pull myself together.

Welcome Poppy and Misstopsy!

Fingers crossed all works out in the restructure Tiny and Milk - sending you calming thoughts to help you contain your rage! God help me when i'm back at work - I can imagine making some poor year 7s cry with my pregnancy rage. I teach 3 classes of em and all the "miss do i underline the date" "miss can i take my blazer off?" "miss should i use a pencil?" comments will send me spiralling into it no doubt "I DONT GIVE A FUCK IF YOU UNDERLINE THE DATE!! DO YOU NOT HAVE A BRAIN??? WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME THESE THINGS!!!!"

Been busy working thus far this morning and think i may have almost "finished" planning. Now im ravenous and want lunch but its only 11.09!

Somanychanges · 30/08/2013 11:14

Welcome poppy and misstopsy hope you are both doing well in your pregnancies so far.

Good luck today Tiny I will be thinking of you.

I seem to have woken up with an even bigger bump this morning. There is no denying I am pregnant now and meeting my dad next week and do not want him to know yet (it's complicated) so don't know how I will hide it.

I keep walking around rubbing my tummy also. My son came out with a random comment yesterday when he went to give baby (my tummy) a kiss, he said "bye bye baby here is your last kiss as you will be off to heaven tomorrow". Shock

That freaked me out a bit as my son has always had this weird ability to predict the future it can be quite unnerving at times. Fingers grossed he is just talking nonsense. I have my 16 week appointment next week so hope they listen to the heart as can you believe I have still not picked up my Doppler I bought on eBay. The woman is probably going to get fed up and relist it. I have paid for it but as I've been so sick and so busy with kids and a broken sat nav, I have not braved the journey there yet.

Hope you all have a good day. I am having a good day so far, have not been sick yey! Today I have to take my children out for some exercise and then come back and get onto the case of appealing for my sons school place.

15+2 and I am going to be finding out the sex on October 2nd or 3rd cannot remember offhand.

mrscookie78 · 30/08/2013 11:29

welcome poppy and misstopsy! yay, least I'm not alone having no boobs. I used to use la senza, think I saw a store recently? I need to get some non wired bras, anyone else still wearing wired bras? Smile

mrscookie78 · 30/08/2013 11:30

how did you get on Tiny

EeyoreIsh · 30/08/2013 11:50

Good luck today tiny

somany I really hope your ds is wrong, what a freaky thing to say!

pregnancy rage is awful, I've lost it twice today. luckily I'm working from home so no one to hear!

Littleen · 30/08/2013 11:55

welcome newbies!

somany that's freaky!! I'm sure it'll be alright though, kids say alot of stuff!

I am sooo down today, don't know what to do with myself. We're struggling so bad for money, and now I've just been told that we won't get any financial support once baby is born. I can apply for support for rent - but they will only cover 20% of our rent, so it really doesn't help much at all. And to get financial help for food, I have to do a full time "job application" course, however once little one arrives, that will stop. How the hell will we survive -.- (not in UK) I just cannot see a light at the end of the tunnel, as every day I will be more visibly pregnant = no job offers, and my partner still needs to learn the language before he can get a proper job, which will take months and months. We have to pay 800 pounds for his norwegian classes aswell, and going to have to put that on a blimming credit card! Been crying for hours today, really not a good day =/

Milkandtwo · 30/08/2013 12:06

Oh god litleen what a nightmare.
I have no words of wisdom to offer but am offering virtual Brew and Cake instead, and a virtual hug to boot.
Do you have any family that can help support out there? Any possibility to come back to UK if the situation would be any easier?

rueyrichardson · 30/08/2013 12:22

Littleen, I wanted to give you a virtual hug too. I am sure all will be well in the end, they can seem so awful when they are up close. Take it easy x

Sassy20 · 30/08/2013 12:23

Oh Litleen that's awful for you. Is there no way you can come back to the uk? X

tinypolkadot · 30/08/2013 12:37

Thanks for all the good vibes everyone, the good news is we will still have a department! The bad news is we won?t know what the roles within it are until December after they?ve recruited the top level staff, by which time I?m sure I won?t give a fig as I?ll be well protected for my maternity leave. However, I?m not relishing the thought of having to apply for my job or any new job when I?m due to pop (or afterwards). I guess I?ll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Welcome misstopsy we also share a due date! Hope your pregnancy has treated you well so far Smile

somany that comment is freaky! I was reading the freaky things children say thread the other day, that is definitely a contender, and also nothing to worry about I'm sure ? please don?t worry!

littleen I really hope you have some better luck soon, also wondering if you can come back to the UK? Cake

jazzcat28 · 30/08/2013 12:41

Oh dear Litleen not sure what I can suggest other than to offer hugs and a virtual shoulder to cry on.

I had an exciting morning hunting down the Avent 3 in 1 steriliser which I got in Boots for £30 plus £3 of points on my boots card. They are sold out online but had one on the shelf in my store so dead chuffed. I went to Mothercare first and they said they'd price match the Boots offer as long as I had proof (photo on phone of shelf price) so off I toddled to Boots and there was one left! If you are interested definitely try the mothercare price match.

Am just waiting for my first ever homemade pizza dough to rise (mn recipe).

As you can tell I've had a morning off the studying but will get back to it this afternoon after playing with my steriliser

EeyoreIsh · 30/08/2013 13:09

Sorry you're going through such a tough time littleen. offering hugs from afar.

tiny what a relief.

I'm so tired today, because I stayed up late following the Syria debate and vote in the house! I've just had an afternoon nap but I have so much work still to do. I'm going to have to leave my phone upstairs so I can't mumsnet!

Poppy954 · 30/08/2013 13:21

Eyore- that's nice to know. I'm Hoping I'll be a few days early or on time as I was put back a week at the first scan so it's been forever already!
Milkandtwo- will do thank you
Somany - that is freaky but he'll no doubt be wrong!, littleen, tiny - good vibes and thoughts to you. Hope I haven't missed anyone.
Positive non rage thoughts to everyone else.

misskatamari · 30/08/2013 14:20

Littleen sending you a big virtual hug - what a stressful situation for you both to be in. I'm sure it will all work out for the best but know it must be such a worry for you.

Yaaaaay jazzcat you got the steriliser! DH asked me what had arrived the other day and I was like "a steriliser and some bottles" to which he waited and told me "are you not gonna tell me about them"...."errr it's a steriliser......And some bottles..." Lol I think normally I must gush and explain about everything I buy but don't really know how to make a steriliser sound all that interesting! It's not like I can everything out - unless I try bottle feeding the cats!

Right I must now do some house tidying! Such a mess but I so can't be bothered!

CubanoHabana · 30/08/2013 14:50

Welcome new guys!

Misskatamari my favourite year 7 quote (which I got right up to the end of year 7 with one class) was 'I've finished my page, can I turn over', when in a snarky mood I used to tell them no, they just had to write on the table...

Off to boots now to try and get my free changing bag...

Also started watching series of OBEM on demand today as seen as oh at work... Sobbed but strangely addicted now!

Also oh had good news at work about being seconded to district office for a project but then followed by someone crashing into his car on way home! He is ok, but think he would have sunk into a depression if he hadn't had the good news first... He has not had any luck with cars recently...

misskatamari · 30/08/2013 14:52

Lol cubano that is hilarious about the year 7s. Bless them I know they are sweet but by gosh they do my head in!

Free changing bag? What is this joy of which you speak?

Hope your DH is okay Hmm

jazzcat28 · 30/08/2013 14:56

free stuff?? Do tell more... (hope your DH is ok, if he is anything like mine his ego will be more dented than anything else)

Very happy with steriliser misskat although I wanna play with it but didn't buy the bottles to go with it - that's next months purchase!

Feeling very tired, deffo need a snooze...zzz

EeyoreIsh · 30/08/2013 14:57

free bag? tell me more please Smile

misskatamari · 30/08/2013 15:23

Yaaaaay just had a call from the lady who runs the hypnobirthing classes near us and were booked on! So excited! Grin

Now I need to go out and buy food for tea Hmm totally CBA shopping or cooking but I really fancy this yummy honey BBQ chicken with roasties I make and now I've thought about it I wanna eat it so badly! Hopefully ill get to the shop and spy pizza and start craving that instead!

littlestgirlguide · 30/08/2013 15:41

Fingers crossed tiny hope it's good news!

Welcome to our newbies - February is a busy month!

littlestgirlguide · 30/08/2013 15:48

Oops, typed that last post ages ago and DD called me, came back and pressed post without realising how much time had passed!

CubanoHabana · 30/08/2013 16:07

If you join the boots parent and child club (can do online) they send you out vouchers, so you get 10 points every pound you spend on baby things, £50 off if you spend £200 on nursery items, money off nappies etc...

They keep sending you different vouchers throughout pregnancy and baby years as long as you buy something baby from them every once in a while.

But you also get a voucher for a free changing bag (plain black so perfect for oh's) when you buy a pack of pampers new born nappies or active fit... I think there is also a voucher for money off steriliser, but we have already been told we are getting one as a present!

You can join at the kiosks as well but they don't print off the vouchers which is rather annoying as I keep forgetting to take vouchers with me whenever I am near a boots!

Unfortunately, it took me forever to find the boots near where I live (not lived here that long) and when I did, it was attached to a doctors and was just the pharmacy! So looks like I will be going into Newcastle / metro centre over the weekend, as there is a time limit on the voucher!

Oh is fine, it is purely wounded pride (doesn't help that last December he drove into back of my car and pushed me into the car in front so my poor car was the middle of a car sandwich and both cars were written off - to be fair it was black ice but...)!
