Hi girls thought as that thread it quite full we could start a new one here.
Hope you don't mind pink.
How you girls all feeling today? I swear I keep forgetting I'm pregnant when symptoms disappear randomly. But I'm at such early stages, one of the babies of the bunch at just 5+2

Morning everyone, not posted this weekend as have been away with the PIL. Told them on Friday, everyone very excited so we are cautiously excited now too. Been having some nice little chats about baby names this morning!

Symptoms wise, I feel a bit like i've got none, but in reality the only thing I havent been is actually sick. Im finding im really tired, but am prone to laziness so this might just be me giving in more easily! Nauseous quite a lot but as i've not been sick that doesnt seem real either.

One thing I would say though is that I look pretty rough, my hair is a mess and I look tired and rundown. Under normal circumstances looking like this would be cause for a spray tan and a facial!

pinkpeoniesplease · 26/08/2013 12:26

Trinpy I'm not on the Facebook group either Smile
We'll keep the thread going!

Hi all
I hope everyone is OK?

We had a 6 week scan on Wednesday. As we conceived using fertility drugs they scan early to check it is a viable pregnancy. We saw 1 little egg sac and teeny tiny baby with a heart beat. Such a relief and amazing to see so early.

We've told our parents and siblings, as I figured whatever happens I will need their support.

Been feeling really nauseous this last week. Been trying wrist bands to relieve it, although not sure they're working as well as I'd like them to. Still, symptoms are always a good sign, so would rather feel pregnant, than not.

Just realised I broke my own rule! I'm 7+1 today

Definitelysometime · 26/08/2013 12:42

Wow - just back from a week away and this thread has grown so much! A week off work was just what I needed, felt so much less sick and tired away from it all. Have told my family now too, which is so lovely. Mum and sis both cried with happiness and everyone so excited Grin

Just hope everything is ok now. it still doesn't feel completely real. 8+6 today and scan booked in for 12+2 so not tooooo long to wait.

How's everyone feeling? Will get my *rse into gear soon and add Trisha on Facebook so I can see you all over there too.

cookielove · 26/08/2013 12:46

Hello all.

Did I mention we told both sets of inlaws as dh had also got a pay rise :)

One set said congratulations but didn't really feel like they cared (we were expecting this)

And the other ones are uber excited. Grin

prettyinpink90 · 26/08/2013 15:15

boobs don't be disheartened, my symptoms come and go and to be honest somedays I forget I'm pregnant! I've still got just under 3 weeks until I go for an early reassurance scan (should be 8/9 weeks by then) and its 3 weeks too long, I constantly worry there's nothing in there. I did another CB Dugi test yesterday though which is now saying 3+ weeks rathan than 2-3 so there must be something happening. Good luck for your scan tomorrow!

How exciting that some of us have started telling people, it's great that they are so excited for you! We have decided we will tell everyone after our early reasurrance scan.

EverthingcrossedforApril14 · 26/08/2013 15:30

boobs everything crossed for you tomorrow, as the other ladies have said symptoms seem to come and go, so chin up and try not to worry, I know it is hard. I worry all the time, symptoms not having any!

Welcome to the new people

Envious of those who are sharing their news. Only 3 people in rl know of the existence of my little bean and 2 of those are me and dh!
Because it's our 4th baby, I'm 38, and lets just say it was some what of a suprise, we feel people are going to be very judgey. Sad

Pink and Trinpy I'm not on Fb page either. Happy to hide here and keep my muffin-topped self anonymous Smile

mamapants · 26/08/2013 20:03

I don't think I'm going to join in on the fbooking at all tbh. Prefer to stay anon I think.
So hopefully everyone isn't migrating to fb.
Have been on day out with DP and DS today. Had lovely time. And have bought a novelty babyvest from the giftshop with a t-shirt for DS to match. Didn't buy anything this early for DS but couldn't resist today.
How's everyone else? I've not really suffered so far this pregnancy. Slight nausea but not bad, I can actually eat food with flavour this time which is nice. And not eating like a pig this time so maybe its a girl this time.

Supercalafraga · 26/08/2013 20:10

Hi ladies!

Hope everyone has had a great weekend Smile dh had to go away so I was home alone... really sucked as none of my friends know so just hid out of the festivities for most of the weekend Hmm

still no major symptoms - just the good old bloating, sore boobs and crazy dreams. back to work tomorrow so hoping they don't decide to kick in!

Sorry but also not going to join the fb group...

prettyinpink90 · 26/08/2013 21:13

Unfortunately I won't be joining the fb group either as i don't use fb... Shock

Bodeccia · 26/08/2013 21:26

Evening all

Good luck with the scan tomorrow, bold

Brilliant news about your bean, orangelilylady, delighted for you :)

Not much news here, the fatigue seems to be subsiding, thank goodness! I've been feeling a nauseous, but if I eat little and often it seems to help, even though I really don't feel like eating.

Scan is a week tomorrow, it can't come soon enough. I had two embryos put back, and I want to know if we've got one or two beans growing in there. My best mate is sure there are two in there (not sure what she's basing that on), but I'm not so sure. I just want to know already!

thedementedpenguin think it was u who asked me about NI, are u from NI too, if so there's three of us on here must be a MN record!!

Nessalina · 26/08/2013 22:32

Well it looks like there'll be plenty of us non-facebookers propping up the Fred! Smile hurrah!
I'm feeling much more nauseous today than usual, no sickness, but just rather miserable! Stomach can't decide what it wants - food or no food!
I keep being really tempted by these early reassurance scans you can get done privately, I'm in Yorkshire & you can get one from 6 weeks for only £80. Lol, I say only, I'm aware that's a lot to pay just to get scanned 5/6 weeks early, but it feels like a small price to stop me obsessing. Apparently if a scan detects a heartbeat at 8 weeks, then it's a 98% probability of the pg continuing to term, which sounds like reassuring odds to me! Is anyone else thinking of paying for a scan?

prettyinpink90 · 26/08/2013 23:05

ness yes I'm hoping to have an early reasurrance scan at around 8 weeks. The company we are hoping to use charge £55 which included 2no b&w photos. Personally I feel it's a small price to pay to give us some reasurrance, I'd be going out of my mind if I had to wait till 12 weeks. It will also be able to tell us the exact gestation and EDDIE which will be nice as I caught straight after coming off the

prettyinpink90 · 26/08/2013 23:06

stupid phone! duplicate post and its meant to say EDD not EDDIE!!!

ThedementedPenguin · 26/08/2013 23:12

pineapple yes it was me. I actually meant to reply to that but I forgot sorry.

Yes I'm from NI. I live in Armagh so I think I'm not too far away from you if my crappy memory serves me right.

3 of us on this 1 thread, that's got to be a record. Who's the third one?

Pineapplefreak · 26/08/2013 23:22

Everythingcrossedforapril14 is from NI too, are u on the FB group?

Not too far away at all, just a wee scoot up the M1! Our due dates are pretty close, are u for craigavon? I went to Antrim last time , and it was great so sticking with it, despite the fact that I work round Dungannon and craigavon would be handier for scans etc.

prettyinpink90 · 27/08/2013 00:41

Is anyone else suffering from insomnia? I am shattered during the day and come evening I'm falling asleep but as soon as I go to bed I'm wide awake and just lie there for hours getting frustrated!

Has anyone had a home birth with a previous pregnancy?

I had a water birth last time and had a very straight forward birth experience, 7 hours from first pain to ds being born, I laboured and gave birth in the water and had gas and air.

I want a water birth again ideally (as long as no medical reasons why I shouldn't / can't) but obviously if I give birth in hospital it isn't guaranteed (I was lucky last time, they shut the labour ward after me as was so busy and the last available room was the one with the birthing pool)

Was considering looking into hiring a pool and having baby here at home.

Has anyone else done this? How did you find it?
