MrsV sounds like mild SPD to me - I had it last time and could eventually feel bones right in the middle grinding together. Yowch.
Your GP sounds like bit of a pillock.

Spacefrog35 · 04/09/2013 12:07

Morning ladies. Scan all done, only took 3 attempts over the course of 2 hours for the poor sonographer to get all the measurements he needed Blush I seem to be suffering from naughty baby syndrome! All is good, only minor problem is pootle still has an ectopic heartbeat that the midwife picked up at 16 weeks. I'm actually feeling pretty OK about it though as apparently it's fairly common and it means I get to see my little monkey again at 28 weeks Grin

Little bugger absolutely refused to turn around for pictures though, wasn't having it in anyway shape or form, think it might have inherited my stubborn streak Hmm

Hope everyone else is doing ok today x.

Oh agree with extra definite pillock

MrsGSR · 04/09/2013 12:29

Congrats on your scan space! Mine was a bit stubborn and we couldn't get a picture, 2 hours is a long time though!

DH has been joking that he can't handle a mini version of my sister. She was very stubborn as a baby, she refused to do the hearing tests as and the health visitor thought she was deaf. Mum had to explain that she wasn't deaf, she was ignoring the health visitor! She would also arch her back and refuse to get into the car seat if she felt she was being rushed. She's lovely now, but still likes to be given warning before we do anything spontaneous!

MrsVDB · 04/09/2013 12:57

Ah more lovely scans how exciting!! That's good they continued trying rather than get you back another day. I'm debating a sneaky coke before my scan on Friday to make sure we can get plenty of movement as baby has been pretty stubborn at previous scans.

mrsg I was the same ha ha. They thought I had hearing problems for years but turns out I was just ignorant :)

Frizz1986 · 04/09/2013 13:01

thanks everyone.
Feel like a bit of a douche as my issues are so minimal compared to everyone elses.

nature thats good that they don't seem to concerned about it. Fx it disappears on its own.

mrsv doc def sounds a bit of an idiot. Hope you get better sense from the consultant.

space congrats on the scan and to everyone else who has had one.

sarah thats great news. Glad all went ok and you can relax a bit.

Oh and welcome angel

Prob missed lots more out but am rushing on lunch.
Dh is at home with pooch and I really struggled lifting her last night (even tho she is a westie!!)
Also the toilet broke so I had to lift a bucket of water to fill it before I could flush.
Very sucky.
Hoping I can perk dh up. Maybe if bubs has a wriggle tonight and he feels it he will be a bit happier (bubs has been a bit quiet the past few days tho)

Oh well back to work. (only 2.5 days left of my week of hell)

Naturegirl82 · 04/09/2013 13:07

Frizz is your dh a teacher? Has he signed up for supply at all if he is? You can get pretty regular work even though it's not ideal.

daughterofafarmer · 04/09/2013 16:07

Hello everyone it's Farmer here! Remember me? Smile just popping back in to say HELLO.

Hope you are all well? And enjoying your pregnancies.

We had a small wobbly over the weekend, ended up in hospital with full on contractions. Not at all ideal at 19 + wks, doctors where AMAZING, baby is perfect and I'm well. So that is just brilliant. We have no idea why it happened but thankful no problems but a bit of a scare to say the least.

Had our 5 month scan today, it's a BOY! Holy Cow. I shock....really thought it was another girl.

enormouse · 04/09/2013 16:10

Congrats on your scan spacefrog. I had mine today too and have found out we're having another boy. Grin
I had toddlermouse with me at the scan and he was staring at the screen with an awed face. I'm glad he was there.

The baby was very uncooperative when it came to showing his legs and the sonographer was getting me to roll over and pressing down quite hard. I'm still quite sore from it and I had the scan at 9.30 this morning. I'm overjoyed but am slightly overwhelmed at the thought of two boys.

Now i need to catch up with everyone's news (sorry it's been so hectic here!)

MrsVDB · 04/09/2013 16:13

Woo for more boys!!

Contractions sound scary, I wouldn't know what to do! Glad your ok.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 04/09/2013 16:51

daughter hello! Glad you're okay and congrats on your baby boy!

enormouse congrats on your baby boy as well, albeit a naughty boy!

I'm off swimming again this evening, aren't I good even if it is only the second time since I got pregnant and I just ate a Twix

MrsAVB · 04/09/2013 17:10

Hi farmer, thank goodness all is well. Yay for good drs and nurses... And especially yay for baby farmer boy!
Congrats mouse too! Must've been lovely having toddlermouse there too!
Enjoy your swim humpty... That's twice more than I've been - don't want to scare any small children with my foo foo forest of a bikini line!

Sultanajo · 04/09/2013 17:49

space stubborn baby syndrome! Lol! Great scan news and glad they are keeping an eye on things. Grin

Sultanajo · 04/09/2013 17:50

frizz glad your DH is dealing with pooch now. Really hope he gets to feel little bubs kicking!

Sultanajo · 04/09/2013 17:52

enormouse great news and yay for boys! Grin

Sultanajo · 04/09/2013 17:53

farmers ekkk! How scary! Great to hear all is OK. Grin

Sultanajo · 04/09/2013 17:55

mrsa I have been shaving my bikini line without being able to see what I am doing thru bump and boobs! Am doing it by feel alone and just pray it looks OK! Grin

extracrunchy · 04/09/2013 18:05

Hi daughter!

We also have naughty baby syndrome. At 20wk scan she didn't move for 3 tries over 2 hours after sugary drink etc so was told to book another appointment on my way out and as I was leaving I felt her flip... Cheeky madam. Luckily it was the end of appointments so they squeezed me back in!

Anyone else had baby hiccups yet? Last night my tummy was visibly, rhythmically jumping Grin

Frizz1986 · 04/09/2013 18:40

Yay for more boys. Slightly jealous that we didnt find out but i know that its the way we want it so cant wait for the surprise.

nature yep dh is a secondary science teacher. He has signed up with an agency but they said it will be pretty quiet until end of sept, but hoping he gets things. Pref a long term cover until he can get a full time position later in the year (fx) He was made redundant from his last 2 jobs so is rather downhearted about it all but he enjoys it most of the time and i think he is really good at it. He just seems to always get the classes where the previous teachers didnt finish the modules so he spends the first 2 months trying to catch them up.
He did good with pooch today tho, and did washing, ironing, hoovering and fixed the toilet so think he took note of my mood yesterday.

So... How many boys and girls do we have now?? Ive lost track!

BookTart · 04/09/2013 18:49

Congratulations to spacefrog and enormouse and EEK! to farmers. Glad everything is okay now :) Also glad everything went well for your DS sarah.

Someone at work has obviously been spreading the news because I had loads of people asking me when I am due and stuff today. I am absolutely massive already, so I'm not sure how they hadn't already twigged. One of them quite upset me though, saying that she lost her first baby much later on than this and so she didn't really want to say anything and I shouldn't buy anything for it until 30 weeks. Obviously I'm being a bit mad now, but I know she meant well (somehow!)

Also, I shouldn't ever weigh myself again because I've put on over a stone now Blush. Salad only from now on!

How is your poor dog doing frizz?

Frizz1986 · 04/09/2013 19:09

Dont worry book i was 9st 11 before the bfp and am now 10st 13 and only 21+5. Oh well.....itll cone off eventually when bubs arrive and i stop stuffing my face.

Pooch is going ok. She at least wagged her tail when i came home from work, but now i am worrying about how we will stop her jumping and bounding around when she gets a bit more back to her usual self. She has to be on 'no jumping or over exertion' for like 6 weeks!!

Percypiglet · 04/09/2013 19:53

Hello, our scan was today. Baby wasn't that cooperative at times!. But apparently likes to sleep with its face pushed into the placenta which guess what... it's anterior!! We are club yellow!

Nature - I hope all is okay by the 28 week scan. Fingers crossed for you. Hope you can chill in the meantime.

Toothfairy78 · 04/09/2013 20:06

Woo! Hey Farmer lovely to see you're doing alright!

Congrats for good scans today team blues n club yellows!

book you've only put on a stone? Skinny mini! Last time I looked I'd piled on a stone so decided to stop looking. That was about a month ago! :-s

enjoyingscience · 04/09/2013 21:39

Hello all, glad your scary spell is over farmer!

Forgot to mention, am also in anterior placenta club. So weird, as I've had lots of reasonably early movement, so maybe it's quite high and I'm only feeling low movement?

toothi'm with you on not weighing myself, though might out of morbid curiosity in December! Right now, I'm much happier not knowing.

crunchy no hiccups yet, but remember how funny they were from first time round. Used to happen in meetings where I had to be serious, was very distracting having a jumping bump!

Naturegirl82 · 05/09/2013 08:28

Argh major calf cramp at 4am. Woke Dh up with my swearing! Oops. I think he thought we were being burgled or something! Confused

Bluecarrot · 05/09/2013 11:43

I've put on over a stone too. I had lost 5 lbs in the 2 weeks before we conceived, and it went on v v quick. I'm at her upset at the weight gain but have little energy to do much exercise - walking the 25 min school run is so tiring I need to lie down after! Yoga DVD is ok though.

Swimsuit arrived though and I'm looking forward to getting back to it, even if I can only do half the lengths now. Did read we shouldn't do front crawl which is the only one I can do!
