Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Lovely news mrsG :)

Toby, it hurts so much doesn't it? They wouldn't x-ray me either, but still strapped my broken toe up to help it heal properly. It will take a few weeks though. I hope yours feels better soon. And RAGE at the git that smashed your wing mirror. Might be worth asking the place you are trading in how much difference it makes to the trade in price before getting it fixed. It can be a right hassle, depending on your car.

Naturegirl82 · 03/09/2013 18:51

Just back from scan. Not all good news for me unfortunately. Baby has a cyst on left kidney. Have to go back for another scan at 28 weeks to see if it has changed. Keeping my fingers crossed it will have disappeared Sad

MrsVDB · 03/09/2013 18:55

Oh no nature I don't know anything about that condition but I hope it's all ok. Fingers crossed for you

Toothfairy78 · 03/09/2013 19:06

Phew it's hot today!

May I add to the RAGE list whoever took my tea infuser? At first I thought it was preggo brain but 4 colleagues have scoured the office and the kitchen and definitely no sign of it. Even looked in, under, behind and in the inner workings of my desk. Whoever borrowed it is going to pay for it with their balls in a vice! Do you hear me?!! YOUR-BALLS-IN-A-VICE! Do not touch my stuff!

The Toothfairy balls in a vice service is also available for weathermen, people who break your wing mirror, husbands or partners who are acting up, birthdays, weddings etc...

Frizz1986 · 03/09/2013 19:09

Wow this thread has moved fast. Not really had a chance to read everything...

nature sorry the scan showed something, but hopefully it will sort itself out, or maybe as you at least know about it, the team can be prepared to sort it after birth. So many conditions that they find these days can be easily fixed once baby arrives and the scan just allows them to be ready for it.

toby sorry about the car. That really sucks. And the foot too..

Hope everyone else has had ok scans. Think i saw a few that went ok.

Am v peeved tonight. Pooch is home from surgery and all went well but there is a lot of after care and she needs to be watched to make sure that she doesnt jump on things and break the implant or worse...her leg.
Well dh picked her up today and then has gone out to his normal tuesday night gaming session with his friends. I am having awful back trouble at the mo and i am going to have to lift poochy outside to wee and back inside and i just wanted him to not go tonight and put his family first. Just feel like i will mess up and it could have serious repercussions. Really annoyed that he has still gone!! And to top it off he has done none of the housework in over a week so i have had to clean the bathroom tonight as it was horrific. I know he is low because he is out of work but unfortunately i cant be working full time and looking after the house at 5 months pg while he sits home doing fun stuff.

Sultanajo · 03/09/2013 19:12

Lol tooth! Thanks very much for offering your services!

mrsg great scan news! Grin

nature what have they said to you is the significance of the cyst on the kidney? Really sorry you now have something else to worry about! Sad

toby oh no! Not even knowing how you broke your foot is even worse and grrrr for your car! What a major pain in the ass! Angry

Spacefrog35 · 03/09/2013 19:29

Hugs to toby, nature & frizz (& anyone else who needs them).

Totally identify with no being motivated for work, soooo not interested at the moment. Was really proud of myself for being calm & collected about tomorrow's scan but no, the hormones have kicked in. Not really bricking it per se, more just totally convinced that something is dreadfully wrong & just to compound it I have a magical disappearing bump. Sunday, lovely little bump, today nada. No idea where pootle went, think its hiding in my butt cheeks! Hmm

Sultanajo · 03/09/2013 19:46

frizz that is so not on! He should be home helping u with poochlet if nothing else! Grrrr! Angry Wish I could come and help you hun. He has got to help you with the rest of your poochlets aftercare - will be a lot of work but very much worth it in the end. Poor you! Hugs!

space deep breaths! Its a horrible feeling - the worry of the unknown! I had the disappearing bump at 20 weeks but its here to stay at 23.5 weeks! Will keep everything crossed for you! Smile

MrsGSR · 03/09/2013 20:09

I hope your foot gets better soon, toby, and that you can sort out the car easily!

Nature I hope it's disappeared by the 28 week scan. Thinking of you Flowers

Frizz I'd be annoyed too! :( I hope your pooch gets better soon!

Good luck for tomorrow Space!

Penny31 · 03/09/2013 20:10

Another busy day! Yay for the good scans :)

nature sorry it want all good news. Hopefully it will just heal itself? I know nothing about the seriousness of the condition? Hugs xx

toby sorry you have had a rotten day and I hope your foot feels better soon!

I'm picking up some tablets for my chronic heartburn tomorrow and I can't wait. It's agonising, I've known nothing like it. It really hurts my ribs, makes me nearly vom all day and I'm unable to sleep for longer than an hour at a time at night. It's now got so bad it's making me lose my voice! My doctor was great and is co didn't these tablets will do the job. I could it up with this for another 15 or so weeks!

Penny31 · 03/09/2013 20:11

On subject of bumps mine has well ad truly popped out now and I nearly 2 weeks. I can't hide it under ANYTHING now. Not that I want to I might add :)

Sultanajo · 03/09/2013 20:39

Hurray penny for good heartburn drugs! Really hope they work!!! Mine isnt nice but not nearly as bad as yours. How awful hun! What a relief it will be! Grin

AnotherStitchInTime · 03/09/2013 21:17

Hope your ds's operation went well sarah, have been thinking of you today.

Sorry to hear your scan news nature, fingers, toes and everything else crossed for you that it will resolve itself by the 28 week scan

Toby a broken foot and and a broken wing mirror in one day, you must be due some good luck now right?

Welcome Angel, we are due date buddies :) If you have any worries or q's just ask away this baby is number 3 for me, there are lots of us on here on #2,3 and even 4. You will be fine.

Frizz, that is crap, he should be doing the majority of the housework if he is at home, when DH was out of work and then a SAHD he did cleaning, laundry and all the cooking. No way you should be lifting poochie with a bad back Angry on your behalf.

Well good news here is that I have got a second hand tandem Britax B Dual worth £450 for £100 on EBay. This is our third buggy, the second is only a year old so there was no way I was forking out for a new one when I will probably only use the tandem for a short time.

extracrunchy · 03/09/2013 21:39

Nature sorry to hear about scary scan - very much hoping it'll be resolved in a few weeks time.

Frizz and Toby hope things look up for you too!

extracrunchy · 03/09/2013 21:40

Sarah how is DS? Hope recovering well xx

Naturegirl82 · 03/09/2013 22:01

thanks everyone, just feeling a bit deflated. They aren't worried about it and there is a chance it will have disappeared on it's own by the time the next scan comes around. It isn't multicystic or anything more serious and I think the kidney looked normal apart from that. I think the worst case is the baby will have to be on a low dose antibiotic for a year once it's born just to prevent infection, but really hoping it doesn't come to that. Have a midwife appointment Friday for the GTT so will ask her a few more questions about it then as couldn't really think about it at the time.

sarahleanne · 03/09/2013 22:03

just popping on to let you all know that DS is fine. I was obviously a wreck whilst he was having the op but everything has gone well .
Just scanned through and thanks for all the messages, your all so lovely.
it's been a long day so im off to bed.I will catch up properly soon and I hope everyone is OK.
xx

Penny31 · 03/09/2013 22:18

Pleased all is well sarah! Get some well deserved rest.

nature I'm glad it doesn't seem so serious and I hope it just goes away by itself xx

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/09/2013 22:18

Blimey!

sarahl so glad to hear your DS is okay, thank goodness!

nature you poor thing, anything out of the ordinary is scary, however serious or not, I really hope it disappears.

frizz firstly Angry grrrrrrrrr at your DH, but I do think he sounds depressed - unless that is normal behaviour (which I suspect not?). He sounds like he's really struggling with life/being unemployed. To leave you to do heavy lifting cannot be normal/him in his right mind; I'm sorry to hear this, and I hope you can talk to him about it.

toby grrrr for stupid wing mirror smashing bastards and silly old feet. Mine are agonising from the stretching/loosening, I've had to resort to full on nan shoes. Not a symptom I expected.

penny hope the meds work, sounds grim!

space my bump is a bit in and out, and I'm 22+5! I am tall though, so that's probably part of it. Fx for scan.

tooth Bloody thieving bastards.

Sultanajo · 04/09/2013 07:36

Nature you just don't expect there to be anything that isn't perfect do you? I think you go into a little bit of shock and you can't take anything in! I know how you feel - felt deflated when they said DS's abdomen was measuring too large! Just couldn't feel happy despite the fact everything else looked good and hopefully it's nothing to worry about. That's excellent that your worst case scenario (although not ideal) is antibiotics for the first year. Will keep everything firmly crossed you have good news at 28 weeks and it has just buggered off on its own. What a shame you weren't able to come out bouncing and over the moon! HTH Biscuit

Sultanajo · 04/09/2013 07:41

Sarah that's great news! Bet you could sleep for England now! What a relief for you! Grin

Good luck for everyone with scans today!

Just over a week until my GTT and hopefully will have more of an idea of what is going on with this large abdomened monkey I have leaping about in me at the moment! If it's not Gestational Diabetes and they decide no need to scan me again then I will go for a private one just to make sure his abdomen hasn't continued to go above and beyond what it should. I REALLY don't want to get to the pushing stage, only to find he is too big to come out! buries head back in the sand for another week Wink

MrsAVB · 04/09/2013 08:29

Morning all!
nature, hope you're doing ok, lots of love!
toby bloody stupid foot and wing mirror breakers, grr!
frizz, lots of love too, hope you and pooch are ok and you have a chance to talk to DH about it all.
space good luck for scan today!
sarah yay for DS's op, hope you slept ok!
penny yay for heartburn drugs!
Have a good day everyone!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 04/09/2013 10:23

sultana I have my GTT in a few weeks, so I'll be waiting to hear how yours goes, and fx that you don't have it and have no more problems.

Bloody hot today, innit? Grrr.

Sultanajo · 04/09/2013 10:36

Yeah Humpty will let you know how it goes.....at least it's first thing in the morning so won't be too tortuous being starved. Will really enjoy lunch that day!!! Grin

Yep - I am sweating already! Tomorrow is meant to be worse (OMG!) but then it gets cooler! Roll on Friday!

MrsVDB · 04/09/2013 10:50

I know what you mean about disappearing bumps :( mine was big and hard and pregnant looking at 18/19w and now at 20w it's still big but soft and flabby... Just intime for bikinis on Sunday!

Went to doctors about my leg circulation today due to large bulgey varicose veins all up my legs ( including knees and thigh) and she have me compression stockings on prescription but only the standard size ones. I have pretty large thighs so don't expect they'll fit but she said the made to measure ones will take too long. Also told her about the stabby pubic bone pain as after googling thought it could be the start of SPd although obviously didn't say that. She then focused on thinking it was a urine infection even though I said pain wasn't inside but felt like the bone ( would have helped if she looked where I pointed to) then very patronisingly asked if it was my first and said its normal to get pains! Bloody useless. Ill see what consultant says tomorrow
