Oh, and more great news- my dd was made head girl! I won't go down well with the mummies ( and possibly the main clique of girls in her class) as shes relatively new to the school, so kinda takes shine off. But none of the mums talk to me anyway so i dont really care. Sad for dd though. But we will celebrate big style at home tonight. :) ummm... Damn... Ill have to eat cake!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 05/09/2013 13:43

blue I thought it was breaststroke we shouldn't do?
Yay for your DD! How awesome for her - well done!

GOD it's hot. I am meeeelllltiiiing Grin

MrsVDB · 05/09/2013 14:47

blue I also thought it was breastroke as that's the only 1 I can do! If consultant agrees with doctor that my fanjo pain is normal I'm going to be doing a fair bit of breastroke on hol as after loosing a stone and half in first 16w or so I have since piled about half stone back on on last couple of weeks. I'm looking fatter in my face too

My boobs have also decided to grow at 20w! They're so heavy and indent really easy if you know what I mean ha ha! Even my huge h bra that I've been comfortable in until now is making my boobs really red and indented, especially in the middle.

Sultanajo · 05/09/2013 15:49

mrsv whenever I take my bra off I make the following noise "ahhhhhhhhh" & then rub all the sore indented bits. The bra fits bit the seams are in a ridiculous place!

humpty OMFG I am just soooo hot! About to go into a meeting and then at 5pm I can strip off and jump in a bath, after taking my bra off....ahhhhhhhh! Grin

Sultanajo · 05/09/2013 15:53

blue its such a shame people put a dampner on a lovely achievement for your DD. Celebrate away! She deserves it (and u deserve cake)! Wink

I too read its breaststroke we shouldnt do, but I figure I will continue to unless it hurts, because I am not fit enough any more to do a good amount of front crawl and also when I tried it last week I didnt like the feeling with the bump! Blush

Sultanajo · 05/09/2013 15:55

Will have to catch up later, but congrats percy on your scan and glad pooch is doing OK frizz. Good luck with the strict rest....Wink

MrsAVB · 05/09/2013 17:36

Btw... toby how's your foot?

Bluecarrot · 05/09/2013 18:55

Oops- that was me thinking " I must learn front crawl" while writing " I shouldn't do breast stroke!" Abd getting mixed up. Sorry. I blame the baby!

Toothfairy78 · 05/09/2013 19:05

Argh! Totally underestimated how tired I am today. Managed scrape whole side of car coming into our drive and dent the door! :(

flowersfortea · 05/09/2013 19:15

Hi everyone, just popping in to try and catch up!

All well here thank goodness, 20 weeks now and this week I am much more convinced that these sensations are actually baby moving - phew! Bump seems to be growing daily, thank goodness my friend lent me some maternity clothes because it seems to have come out of the blue and I've not been shopping yet...

I think breast stroke is absolutely fine but if you have already got back or hip pains or SPD then it might exacerbate them. I'm planning to keeping going if I can!

Spacefrog35 · 05/09/2013 19:42

Awww tooth sending hugs. I'm sure it was the drives fault & not yours Wink someone probably moved it while you were out.

Sultanajo · 05/09/2013 19:52

nature arghhh 4am cramps! Sad

flowers thats great to hear! How exciting!

Sultanajo · 05/09/2013 19:55

tooth arghhh! How annoying is that? Stupid drive! Sad

Frizz1986 · 05/09/2013 22:06

tooth Oops. Thats what happened to my last car. I pulled onto the drive of my old house and swiped the concrete fencepost. Once you hear the scrape its hard to tell if its best to reverse out of the situation or keep going. I kept going and dented my back door so bad that i had to use gaffer tape along the roof to stop rain pouring in. It wasnt long after that i got another car (which has been a pile of s&@t) so wish i had just fixed up the old one.

Bubs is kicking away tonight and i love it. Have felt some occasional movements through the day whilst sat at my desk tok which is awesome. It feels so different to what i expected!

Pooch is still poorly but she'll get there. She is just all sad and whiney atm so want her to be smiley again.

Naturegirl82 · 05/09/2013 22:28

So tired this evening. Struggled through work this afternoon. But we picked up the new car tonight which was exciting. It's so pretty Grin

Have GTT tomorrow. Not looking forward to not eating till 12 Sad

Sorry about your car tooth hope it's not too bad

Penny31 · 05/09/2013 23:19

Just had my first wobble. Hadn't felt baby move all day and tried all the tricks to no avail. Got myself in a right panic so the midwife told me to come In to be checked. Got strapped up to the heart monitor and lo and behold I became a human punch bag! Phew so relieved. Felt a bit embarrassed for being paranoid but the midwife was lovely about it.

Toothfairy78 · 05/09/2013 23:39

Aww, thanks for the sympathy guys!

Was unable rest so let DH take care of dinner while I destressed by sanding the hallway floor, ready for a bit of polish.

It's nice to hear more people are getting kicks today. Tiny had a good squiggle just earlier which DH could definitely feel, so getting stronger!

Am gonna continue to relax by thinking about the game plan for our first NCT nearly new sale this weekend...

extracrunchy · 06/09/2013 00:10

Aw tooth sorry to hear about your car. Sanding sounds like ideal destressing though!

Penny glad you're not worrying any more Smile

Nature good luck for tomorrow! I can't imagine getting to 12 nowadays without food...

Sultanajo · 06/09/2013 08:37

penny phew! These little monkeys are really testing us arent they! So pleased it was bubs just having a lazy day! Grin

tooth I reversed into my normal parking spot a few years back and branch of a tree caught my bumper - I heard a crunch but for some reason decided to keep going and it took my whole bumper off! What was worse is all my neighbours saw me do it! Blush

Off baby browsing with mum today. Am determined to get her to say something is cute today!,Grin

Yay humpty for the drop in temperature today! Grin

Sultanajo · 06/09/2013 08:38

nature that will be me next week! Really hope they dont keep u waiting any longer than necessary! Let us know how I get on. Smile

Naturegirl82 · 06/09/2013 09:02

Urgh I'm hungry and lightheaded. Sad Got a nice bacon sandwich lined up for lunch though Grin

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 06/09/2013 09:45

Morning all! Grin

It's not hot anymore! Grin

And I've found some maternity trousers which, I don't think I'm exaggerating to say this, are going to change my life. I've always struggled to find trousers to fit (jeans are fine, as they stretch, but not trousers) as I have a wide arse, and carry a lot of my weight very low on my belly.
I bought a pair of maternity combats off a lady on Preloved, who got them in the States and I am so so comfortable. Seriously, I have pj bottoms less comfortable than this. THey're light, slightly stretchy (but they don't cling, IYSWIM - they just give when you move/sit/bend), with a stretchy over bump panel. I may have to leave my husband and marry these trousers.

As you were. Grin

Sultanajo · 06/09/2013 10:22

nature I feel for u hun! Try not to sit there dribbling thinking about your bacon sarnie!,Grin

humpty thats awesome and hilarious, but I feel the same about my black lounge pants, of which I now have three pairs. I just wish they did them in blue also! Your combats sound perfect!!! Holy new realms of comfort Batman!,Grin

Naturegirl82 · 06/09/2013 10:27

Haha sultanajo it's ALL I'm thinking about!! Still an hour to go Sad . Working looking at the internet from home so at least I get to sit on a comfy sofa while I wait. Smile

MrsVDB · 06/09/2013 13:09

Was super stressed about work but have now finished for 2 1/2 weeks and got everything done. Also managed to sneak into baby gap on way back (40% off in store and 30% online, pm and I can email voucher). Got a cute coat and far too much else!!

Off for scan now woo!!

Had consultant appointment yesterday and after mess up at reception which resulted in me trying to be firm and cross and instead crying like a loon infront of everyone in waiting room (bloody hormones!!) the consultant said very matter of factly that septate uterus can increase chance of miscarriage and if that happens I should wait 3 months them get septate removed to reduce chances of it happening again. They are going to scan my cervix today too to see if I need a stitch ( although reason not explained). Consultant agreed with doc that my stabby fanjo is normal (although again no real questions asked)
