MrsGSR · 02/09/2013 20:54

Congrats on the scans enjoying and bunt!

Welcome angel :)

I can't remember anything else!

Sultanajo · 02/09/2013 21:10

Yay bunt thats fab news and another anterior high placenta! Grin I wasnt going to tell anyone the gender and then thought I might actually burst and ended up blurting it out! Good luck with keeping it a secret. Grin

TobyLerone · 02/09/2013 22:06

Yes, Angel, the Xplory doesn't come cheap, but it does come slightly cheaper from that site! It's awesome, though, and I'm glad we chose it.

Yay for good scans :) We had our repeat one yesterday and the sonographer was amazing. She doesn't usually work at my hospital but was doing overtime. She clearly loved her job and was properly geeking out about it. She explained exactly how she knows she's got the right angle to measure the head/abdomen and pointed out so many interesting things. She then had a good look at the biggest fibroid, which is the one by my cervix, and showed how it wasn't actually blocking the exit, but was just very close to it, so not to rule out a normal birth yet :)
She did say that haemorrhaging was a risk, especially as "we gingers tend to bleed" :o

extracrunchy · 03/09/2013 00:21

Lovely to hear about happy scans!

Percy I bloody hope they're well padded in there cos my toddler DS regularly (unintentionally!) knees me in the tummy..!

Sultanajo · 03/09/2013 06:49

Toby thats so great! I love it when the sonographers are almost more excited than you! My last one was doing the same, particularly when he was checking the heart. He also ended up giving us tons of pics as he kept finding "cool shots" which was hilarious! Thats interesting about your fibroid too - a glimmer of hope.....Grin

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/09/2013 07:50

Ooooh, toby a glimmer of hope!

sultana and bunt how many are we in the AP club now?

Just watching BBC Breakfast, and have already had murderous thoughts about the fuckwit weather man, who's so bloody cheery about YET ANOTHER week of stinking hot weather. I am sick to the back teeth of being hot, sweaty, uncomfortable, and unable to take a deep breath cos it's too hot. Why the ACTUAL FUCK is it still this hot in September? The one year it would actually be a real summer is the one year I'm actively starting to hate the fucking sun. FML.

I think I have a touch of preggo rage today...Grin

extracrunchy · 03/09/2013 08:12

Haha Humpty I'm with you!!

MrsAVB · 03/09/2013 08:43

Haha humpty! Preggo rage is the way forward! Although I'm loving the weather. But grateful that I'm not further along with the prospect of labour in 30 degrees heat.
Went baby charity shopping at the weekend; 6 babygros for 30p each woop woop!
Does anyone in London know where there's a good range of baby joggers in stock to try out? There are a few stockists listed on the website but most don't have different models in stock...
I feel very demotivated at work at the moment, just don't want to be there! Still planning on staying at work as late as poss before the birth with no holiday between now and then so I have maximum time off when baby is born... And I guess 15 weeks is not that long really.
I got a bit scared at the weekend when a friend told me that X factor will be on every Saturday and Sunday now til Christmas; baby is only 1 X factor series away!
Have a good day everyone

BookTart · 03/09/2013 09:31

Good news about the scan toby :) I had a sonographer who kept me there for ages because she has a shot that she likes to get 'out of professional pride'! Obviously the baby wasn't going to co-operate with that, but we got it in the end. It was of her spine, so not the sort of thing to show the grandparents!

Nice chazza bargains mrsavb - I'm hoping to be able to do similar (although I just accidentally looked at the new baby section on the M&S website and mentally spent a fortune Grin )

I have NO IDEA what to do about a pram. I'm holding off on all purchases until I've seen the specialist next week. They are going to check my cervix for me because I've had colposcopies/LLETZ/endless tinkering. Once I know that is okay then I'll splurge!

Went back to work yesterday for the first time after a week off and the falling down some stairs thing. It was really hard, and by the end of the day I was hobbling around like an old biddy. I didn't get much sleep last night thanks to back and hip pain, so have taken the day off sick to try and get some rest.I fell bad because I only have a four day week this week anyway, but there's no way I can even walk to the station like this! Hopefully a nice warm bath and some rubbish films will cure me and I'll be back in tomorrow.

MrsVDB · 03/09/2013 09:39

mrsa try calling baby nest in croydon, they had some I think and competitive on price. Just round the corner from kiddicare, babies r us, mamas and papas with mothercare just up the road so full on baby shopping!

Sultanajo · 03/09/2013 10:42

Humpty OMG my sides are hurting from laughing so much! That's hilarious! Yep, I am with you with the hot weather! Supposed to get cooler by Friday, but with it comes frickin rain!!! Soooo looking forward to crisp cold but sunny winter mornings! Will be great to get out and about with bubs all wrapped up in the fresh air, rather than the clammy air with tons and TONS of wasps and flies around! I mean seriously, WTF! Having to keep the windows of my office shut because wasps keep coming in and refusing to leave - I can't cope with it any more! Angry

I have completely lost track of ap's BUT I know it's a lot!!!

DH and I didn't end up chatting about the weekend last night - I didn't bring it up because I already had via the text and neither did he and I am just assuming he didn't read the part of the text that said I wanted to talk about things. Ah well, he is acting almost normally again and I think he realised how shitty he had been as he asked if I was OK last night and was making a real effort to talk to me rather than sitting on his ipad (although his ipad was still attached to his hand....!) Wink He also gave me a kiss goodbye while I was still in bed asleep when he left this morning, which he actually hasn't done for AGES thinking about it and it made me feel all warm and fuzzy (not in a naughty way!!!) so things are looking up! Hurray!

MrsA serious bargain hunting there! I keep thinking we should go to a carboot and see what there is there, but I just can't be arsed to get up so early on my day off! Really must make the effort!

Book poor you - that really sucks! You totally deserve to take it easy - not worth forcing yourself to work in agony! A warm bath and trashy films sounds like my idea of bliss right now! If only!!!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/09/2013 10:48

extra and MrsA shall we storm the weather-controller's office together?

MrsA oooh, bargains! Well done. I am with you on the total lack of work motivation. We can doooo eeeet! Only a few more weeks, honestly. Bloody work, though, grr.

book hope you are recovering gently, I think you need more rest. No more falling down stairs please!

MrsGSR · 03/09/2013 10:53

Toby your sonographer sounds lovely! Fx you can have the birth you want :)

Lots of good scans this week :)

I'm not looking forward to more hot weather wither Humpty! I'm hoping it will be a lot cooler for the last trimester!

Glad things are looking up Sultana :)

I have my scan at 3 today. I'm panicking because I'm massively hormonal and crazy that DH was only able to come home for the scan as something has gone wrong and the 'powers that be' don't want me to be alone when I find out.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/09/2013 11:09

sultana I have the wasp rage too -after one stung our friends' 2 year old on Sunday. I am waging a campaign of attrition. I will win, a) because I am bigger than they and b) because I have Raid and I am not afraid to use it sometimes I use hairspray and a lighter when feeling particularly vindictive
Join our weather-posse? We could have slogans, and banners, and if that doesn't work, we hit them hard, and hit them fast with a major, and I mean major leaflet campaign Grin

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/09/2013 11:10

Awww, mrsG I'm sure 'the powers that be' have made sure your DH is with you so he can enjoy it as much as you will. Good luck for 3pm!

Sultanajo · 03/09/2013 11:10

MrsG that sounds like a totally rational thought! NOoooooo, it will be because it will be absolutely amazing and the powers that be didn't want him to miss out! Grin

Not long to wait now! Looking forward to hearing all about it!!!

Sultanajo · 03/09/2013 11:12

Sarah just realised it's Tuesday! Am keeping all fingers and toes crossed for you and your little man today! Really hope all goes smoothly and you can finally relax and be happy that it is over! Flowers

MrsVDB · 03/09/2013 11:14

Good luck mrsg

The which report was so helpful last time (thanks again) and now I'm being super indecisive again about bugaboo cameleon and uppababy vista would someone who still has a subscription mind sending me the which reviews please? The vista is swaying it at the moment ( haven't even seen it yet!!) but worried about the weight of it a bit

MrsGSR · 03/09/2013 11:47

MrsV I've tried to send the reviews, I hope it worked!

DH has said similar, that he hopes he wont just be sent home for bad things!

Flowers for sarah

MrsVDB · 03/09/2013 11:52

Thanks so much mrsg :)

MrsGSR · 03/09/2013 16:08

Scan was great! Baby is very, very stubborn (wouldn't move even after 5 minutes of me dancing) but eventually the sonographer was able to check everything. I might have cried a little in the lift on the way out! Very relieved :)

BuntCadger · 03/09/2013 17:11

Toby - I'm a ginger too Grin and yup we bleed and feel more pain

OP posts:
BuntCadger · 03/09/2013 17:12

MrsG - yay for scan. Glad it went well xxx

OP posts:
HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/09/2013 17:16

MrsG yay! That's great news!

TobyLerone · 03/09/2013 17:36

Yay for gingers and scans!

I think I've broken my foot and I don't know how. How stupid is that?!
Went to the GP today who said that he'd be reluctant to send me for an x-ray whilst pregnant and it'll probably just heal itself. I should take some paracetamol if it hurts too much (!!!!!!)
So it looks like a blown-up glove and I can't walk on it. Which is fun.

Also, some utter FUCKER smashed my wing mirror right off today. My car is being traded in in about 10 days, so I have to find someone to fix it quickly.

It's been a bad day!
