Sultanajo · 30/08/2013 10:00

Toby that must have freaked u out! Two days ago I hardly felt anything and started to panic, but yesterday and today he has been bouncing around again! phew!!! Grin

Sultanajo · 30/08/2013 10:01

toby which car have u decided on?

Penny31 · 30/08/2013 10:43

My Moses basket was meant to arrive yesterday but didnt arghhhh! I was so excited to play with it!

TobyLerone · 30/08/2013 10:45

It was very scary. The night before last I was wide awake between 1am and 5am, worrying about it and googling it. NEVER google that, by the way!
I told DH when I dropped him off at the station yesterday morning that I'd give it a couple of hours and then call labour ward. Had some very cold orange juice and some breakfast and thankfully things started up again.

Re the car, I'm sorry to say that DH (and common sense) has talked me into the sensible choice of a normal 7-seater, rather than a 4x4. A piece of my heart will actually die when I have to hand over my lovely car for this dull mum-mobile, but I know it's the right thing to do. It's time for me to grow up. I might actually cry in the garage.
I think we're going with a brand new Kia Carens. It's pretty much exactly the same as the Ford S-Max, but with more of the good shit as standard and it's nicer to drive. Plus 7 year warranty.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 30/08/2013 11:20

frizz yay for kicks!

extra I am not interested in buying sensible things. If I have my way, this baby will live only in fancy dress outfits (I have a dragon one and a superman one already) and the cutest of clothes (ears strictly non-optional). I like your style! Also well done to your DS on the socks Grin V moneysaving!

blue yay for team pink and such a cute way to tell your DD!

MrsG good luck to your OH on the no fags, it's hard, isn't it? I was so glad I had such nausea in the first few weeks or I'd have struggled to give up. My DH is still puffing away like a steam engine. Bah.

toby good luck for Sunday and fx bean is obedient this time.

mrsA aww, bless littleAVB. Ours was doing the same, little bugger. I had to keep turning on my side to startle it into movement! Did you enjoy seeing it though (you're team yellow, right?)

another that Puj bath is TOO CUTE. The second picture is making me weepy!

Hello everyone,

Haven't had a chance to catch up properly but just wanted to update you all. We had the 20 week scan today, all's well and we're having a little girl! So relieved to see everything because I'd had so many dreams and intrusive thoughts of horrible things happening or that she'd miscarried - now I can just look forward to feeling some movement soon and meeting her in January!

TobyLerone · 30/08/2013 11:34

Congratulations, flowers!

extracrunchy · 30/08/2013 11:59

Toby! MUSLINS!!

TobyLerone · 30/08/2013 12:06

Ooooh, yeah! Thanks :o

Bluecarrot · 30/08/2013 12:10

Toby visiting La leche league... Whole paragraph went missing from that last post ?!

TobyLerone · 30/08/2013 12:23

Ah! Thanks :o

MrsVDB · 30/08/2013 13:13

It's so exciting were all finding out! I've got nhs scan next week so will hopefully get confirmation it's a boy, if they say its a girl we will have to get a 3rd opinion I suppose!

Also hoping everything is ok as scan is Friday and we go to Bali on Sunday for 2 weeks, hadn't really thought that one through too well!!

MrsVDB · 30/08/2013 13:14

Also I agree humpty we have years more of practical purchases so we should get what we want now! Yes we might not understand how it will really work but just leave me be! People keep saying I'm buying too much and should just get practical white onesies. Where's the fun in that!

TobyLerone · 30/08/2013 13:15

Sooooo Envy of Bali, MrsV!

TobyLerone · 30/08/2013 13:22

Ooooh, my pram's just arrived!

Sultanajo · 30/08/2013 13:28

humpty! My hot chocolate nearly came out of my nose then! Ears strictly non optional! Grin I have been pretty restrained so far with buying just one cute outfit for £5 in the sales. Been looking a baby monitors and thought I knew the one I wanted until I saw my mate wednesday night, which has properly put the cat amongst the pigeons! Next to look at nursery furniture - just waiting for my mum to arrive and then the cooing at cute stuff can begin from me anyway, my mum has a much more practical head!

Sultanajo · 30/08/2013 13:30

Toby it had to happen one day! Poor u! Well u never know, u may grow to love it! Wink Am just jealous of a brand new car! Envy

flowers thats awesome news! Grin Grin

BuntCadger · 30/08/2013 13:32

Hi :) got wifi waiting to board ferry home. Been stressing as not been feeling the baby move at all and had some cramping yesterday followed by v upset tummy. I'm 21 weeks on Monday and have scan then too.

Sultanajo · 30/08/2013 13:32

Love it mrsv! People keep saying I should be getting stuff second hand. Well, we are getting a few hand me downs, but honestly he is a brand new baby who deserves brand new bits and bobs! Stop ruining the fun people! Wink

Sultanajo · 30/08/2013 13:32

Ekkk toby! How exciting!!! Grin

Sultanajo · 30/08/2013 13:34

bunt were u feeling movements and now they have stopped or have u just not started to feel any?

TobyLerone · 30/08/2013 13:39

I know, sultana. It's rubbish. And I also realise that I'm being a brat by moaning about a brand new car. First world problems, huh? Wink

Bunt, what sultana said. Have you felt any movements at all? If so, how long haven't you felt movement for?

Sultanajo · 30/08/2013 14:20

Lol toby! Nothing wrong with throwing your toys out of your pram now and again! We all do it! Grin

Bluecarrot · 30/08/2013 15:58

Bunt - did you have issues earlier in pregnancy too?

Had you felt a lot if movement before now?

The last two days I barely felt a thing though needed to pee literally every half an hour. The scan yesterday revealed baby had moved to head down and since my placenta was at the front I didn't feel anything. With some poking and prodding she moved back to sideways again and now I'm feeling far more movement again.

So if no movement at all before now they may still be too faint to recognise, or placenta in front like mine, cushioning all the kicks.

Ditto if movements less or disappeared re placenta.

The upset tummy could be totally unrelated.

Saying that, I wouldn't be able to wait til Monday if worried- can you call into hospital when you get back and ask for a reassurance scan? .
