Sorry to hear you are feeling rough Nature. I guess at least the reason you were feeling dodgy yesterday was the start of some bug - hopefully it will go away as quickly as it arrived.

Good luck this afternoon humpty and this evening mrsg! So exciting!!!

Sultanajo · 20/08/2013 16:37

MrsV that's great you managed to fit into the bridesmaid dress, despite the last hour of vomming! Bless your drunk friends with your nodules! I am sure they thought in their slightly dishevelled state they were making you feel better! As Toby said, check with your midwife or if you are really worried then get in touch with your GP....

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 20/08/2013 16:43

MrsG good luck!

Well - PHEW. All fine, v wriggly, and it turns out I have an anterior placenta, hence the not definite movement feelings. All measurements good, and we didn't cave and find out sex.
Bean was, however, HIDING with head tucked on top of my bladder Hmm and would NOT let the poor lady check how fat abdominal circumference. Already disobedient and not even born yet...

Pic on profile. Blowing bubbles (chewing own hand, but it looks like it!)

TobyLerone · 20/08/2013 16:45

Lovely pic, Humpty :) Glad it all went well.

Naturegirl82 · 20/08/2013 16:57

Glad it went well humpty

Sultanajo · 20/08/2013 17:07

Yay humpty! That's great news and another anterior placenta chica! Welcome aboard! Loving the pics! So cute!

If it helps, I am 21 weeks and 4 days and finally think (still not 100% sure) but think I felt definite kicks last night on the sofa - only a few, but much stronger than anything I have felt so far. Still not super strong, but enough to make me think it definitely was kicks, so hopefully in a few weeks we will both be feeling them!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 20/08/2013 17:13

Thanks all.

sultana awesome - that's reassuring. I'm so glad (in some ways!) that it is AP that's meant i haven't felt anything. I shall wait another couple of weeks and hope for the best.

MrsAVB · 20/08/2013 17:24

Yay! Gorgeous pics humpty! How long was your appointment? X

MrsGSR · 20/08/2013 19:21

Congrats on your scan humpty!

We're having a girl! And I think I'm another with an anterior placenta (I wasn't completely listening as I was so pleased to see baby wiggling around!) DH is very excited, but a bit annoyed to be proven wrong!

Sultanajo · 20/08/2013 19:58

Ekkk mrsg! A girl! How exciting!!! Grin They didnt actually tell me my placenta was anterior - I read it on my notes....

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 20/08/2013 20:02

MrsA bloody ages Grin about 45 mins scanning, lots of turning onto my sides to make the little bugger shift about. Meant to be quicker than that, I think.

MrsG yay a girl! How lush!

sultana I read my notes too - that's where I found 'image obscured by adiposity' Blush. No wonder she had to push so hard [ouch]

Sultanajo · 20/08/2013 20:15

Ouch indeed! Shock I too had to turn on my side and also go and pee before the little monkey would get onto a good position! Wink

Mythreeknights · 20/08/2013 20:46

Waaah, two happy scans that is brilliant, well done humpty and Mrsg. I am v jealous as my scan isn't for another three weeks (when I will be coming up to 22 weeks) (which on the flip side means I will get to see more detail perhaps). I have totally convinced myself that this baby isn't a goer...somehow I just don't 'trust' that its ok. Call it gut instinct. It sounds totally mad and paranoid but I am basically expecting either no heart beat at the scan, or to be told that there is a major abnormality and baby won't survive. Damn that midwife who wouldn't do the Doppler at 16 weeks. Damn her t smithereens. Does anyone else feel as paranoid?

TobyLerone · 20/08/2013 20:55

Yay for scans :)

I'm quite afraid that there will be an abnormality tomorrow at mine, Mythree. I can easily feel movement, so I'm not so worried about the heartbeat, but I'm a bit scared about what else could be wrong. I've felt a bit 'abstract' about the whole thing so far, so with a bit of luck tomorrow will go well and I'll actually start doing things (ie buying a car/pram/crib/car seat etc).

Will we ever fully relax again?! :o

BookTart · 20/08/2013 21:07

Lovely news from today's scans :)
I'm ridiculously worried too mythree. I haven't felt any definite movement (20 weeks today) and I'm just so anxious about the whole thing. I've been strict with myself about reading things on the internet as well, after I really upset myself doing it on Saturday Blush DP won't tell his parents that we're expecting until after the scan either, and we're driving down to see them at the weekend. They might be getting a bit of a shock when I get out of the car - I'm huge! Haven't bought a single thing yet either, I'm waiting until at least after the scan, if not 23 weeks. hopefully the scan will be okay and then I can start being a bit less tense!

TobyLerone · 20/08/2013 21:08

THERE IS STUFF COMING OUT OF MY BOOB! Shock

Frizz1986 · 20/08/2013 21:31

mythree i am petrified! Watching midwives on bbc 2 is not helping me. Am now blubbing like a complete baby.
Just feel i need to keep my fingers and toes and everything crossed for the scan on Friday. Glad its first thing so I am not waiting around all day.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 20/08/2013 21:31

mythree I was downplaying it, but I was absolutely and exactly as paranoid/convinced that something was wrong - and it was fine. I can totally sympathise, and I can't convince you, I know. Massive hugs. And a time-turner to make the two weeks go fast.

Toby once again, you make me snort with laughter. I'm assuming it's... appropriate stuff? Not, like, snot?

TobyLerone · 20/08/2013 21:36

We're watching Midwives too. It's terrifying!

Sorry for making you snort, Humpty :o My boobs have been super itchy and I've taken my bra off because it's more comfy, and then all of a sudden I was like "DH, THERE IS STUFF COMING OUT OF MY BOOB!"
That made him put his laptop down!

Pretty sure it's appropriate stuff :o

MrsAVB · 20/08/2013 21:48

Shock toby! What kind of stuff? Grin
Congrats humpty and mrsg
I am feeling big today although people keep telling me that I'm not showing yet...

MrsAVB · 20/08/2013 21:49

Haha snot... Grin

TobyLerone · 20/08/2013 21:50

Colostrum, I assume. Clear, whitish stuff. Just tiny bits. I don't remember this happening so early before, but then again it's been a million years since I had a baby.

Sultanajo · 20/08/2013 21:53

toby thats frickin hilarious! Grin Just the one boob?

Ladies I too was ridiculously worried and paranoid and honestly every day I still have moments of serious worry and paranoia, despite a pretty good scan. I think it must be normal to worry this much she says with a manic grin Grin

I made it half way thru midwives and nearly switched off with the girl being induced due to previous experiences and managed to keep going until they started talking about bereavement and I just had to stop as it made me want to grab my doppler and tie it permanently to me! Dont think I will be able to brave it again!!! At least with one born you tend to get warning when something potentially distressing is coming up. This flicked too quickly for me from one thing to the next - put me in a bit of a tailspin....Confused

Sultanajo · 20/08/2013 21:55

Good luck for all the scans coming up this week and toby for tomorrow! Have you got some breast pads? Wink

TobyLerone · 20/08/2013 22:00

Yep, just the left boob :o I think I'll have to shop for some breast pads tomorrow. Like these beasts need any padding Hmm

We persevered with Midwives and a lady has just had the most beautiful twins. Seriously the most perfect newborns I've ever seen!

Good luck Book for tomorrow too :)
