Just Shagging Grads, here is your shiny new Fred!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw plenty of births and we've got loads of new Grads to add to the mix. Bring on the TMI posts, the midnight moans, the birthwatches and the pom poms!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 17th thread.

Jsing book sounds like a good idea dulcet Im not good with the flowery books either. Nowhere seems to tell you the truth about painful trapped wind, excessive unwanted hair growth or how hard it is to persuade OH to have sex to get upduffed in the first place!

rpopz is it your MIL first grandchild? My MIL had a similar reaction but has come round since, she was just shocked she was gonna be a granny & it made her feel old even though she's nearly 60 Confused

I've had my quad results back this morning & got a low chance result so feeling a little bit more relaxed about everything.

RPopz · 27/05/2014 16:59

It is her first (and potentially only since DH is an only child). I think basically they're not arsed because they are only in the uk looking after an elderly relative - and once she pegs it they want to go straight back travelling again. Fair enough, we never intended them to change their plans.

Nessalina · 27/05/2014 18:15

That's just bizarre Rpopz - why not be at least a bit excited!? Maybe she was shell-shocked... Is she usually a cow bag?
I think I can officially declare the nausea over Grin Still getting indigestion and lots of bloating (and wind Blush) but the sick has gone. YES!

wilhelminand · 27/05/2014 18:38

They sound like they have a good life, where do they travel to?

Haha can you imagine a JSing guide to pregnancy? "If at any point, you feel a slight twinge, firstly panic and then convey your crazy to other JSers by writing a mad message on the internet." or would that just be my own personal guide?

Good news on the results Scoob.

I have a kind of underlying nausea but it's not bad. The tiredness is the worst thing.

RPopz · 27/05/2014 21:05

She's not usually a cowbag. She's pretty bubbly and excitable a lot of the time. Our wedding day she spent 90% of it balling her eyes out!! Oh well.

Wil - they travel round Europe in a camper van. Prob totally outing myself here!!

So. Apparently someone at work is "suspicious" I'm pg because of all the ginger biscuits I've been eating! WHO even knows about that!? I never knew til I was pg!

RPopz · 27/05/2014 21:06

Hooray for no nausea Ness! Not jealous at all.... haha.

wilhelminand · 27/05/2014 21:18

Ooh that is good detective work - outed by a ginger nut. Is it someone who has previously been pg? I would know that you take ginger for nausea but I wouldn't see someone eating ginger biscuits and assume they were pg. And I like to play 'guess the pg person' a lot. I thought I had caught someone out a few weeks ago when they ordered a green tea but then last time I saw them they had a big old coffee. Ooh unless it was decaf...

RPopz · 27/05/2014 21:43

No she's not even been pg before! I'm same as you Wil, I know ginger is an anti sickness thing but I wouldn't assume someone was pg cos they were eating biscuits!! Plus me eating biscuits is far from unusual anyway Wink.

DulcetMoans · 27/05/2014 22:27

I know it's for nausea too but I am very suspicious so could probably have hop, skipped and jumped to pregnancy from you feeling sick enough to eat ginger biscuits! If you are the right age and stage of relationship then you're a suspect!

Jealous of the camper travels around Europe. It's something we discuss but will never do. Sigh!

So, planning for 'making babies the JSing way: a viroids guide' I thought we should start by planning the sections:

Chapter one: getting a baby in there (TTC)
Chapter two: living with a parasite (pregnancy)
Chapter three: getting it out again (labour)
Chapter four: what have we done?! But it's all worth it... (Newborns)

Think we have plenty for one and two...

Nessalina · 27/05/2014 22:40

I was totally outed at work by ginger biscuits!! Lol.
Love the plan Dulcet, though I think we could split section 1 down into fairly large chapters:

  1. Understanding your cycle: what is pant snot and how to recognise it
  2. Getting your partner on board: getting the buggers to understand that you have to shag at the right time.
  3. Lying back and thinking of England: keeping the magic going through TTC
  4. ROCs, pee sticks, literal phases & implantation: when to give yourself a hooya and when to keep hope alive!
JuniDD · 28/05/2014 04:22

Morning, been woken up by hunger Hmm. I hope this doesn't become a regular occurence, I have no idea what to eat at 4am!

Liking the sound of the JS bible!

wilhelminand · 28/05/2014 06:37

Don't let me write the chapter about labour or noone will ever have a baby again. There's a really annoying thread in AIBU where people are claiming that 'some women just have lower pain thresholds' as to why they have more difficult labours. Eejits. If anyone tries to imply to you they are somehow hard as nails for only having gas and air and that they just got themselves in the right mindset etc - poke them in the eyes viroids.

I would quite happily eat ginger biscuits any day of the week. I shall be more suspicious in future though.

RPopz · 28/05/2014 11:16

Cramps and jelly lumps in pants this morning - no blood or anything. Should I be worried or do I need a hooya!?

zenry · 28/05/2014 11:37

rpopz its probably just some funky pregnancy discharge but if you are concerned contact your mw/gp

I have been a bit naughty and im now waiting for my doppler to arrive. I just dont feel im pregnant even though I am and all is going perfectly. Its just weird not to have any symptoms! Dont like it.

wilhelminand · 28/05/2014 12:01

TMI but I have loads of yucky discharge, perfectly normal. I say if no blood, all good. I had a doppler that I was given last time round. Not sure if I ever gave it back. Must have a little hunt in case.

DulcetMoans · 28/05/2014 12:22

I have had plenty too popz, don't worry!

You chapter breakdowns are perfect nessa. I think we will have plenty to add for section four. Perhaps a table of symptoms with one column for 'hooya' and one for 'hope'. It will be the exact same list of symptoms in each though, of course!

I'm feeling shitter and have a headache. Had one last night too. Need a darkened room!

RPopz · 28/05/2014 13:17

Self hooya for Rpopz. I'm over it now ladies, thanks!

Feel turbo horrendous today so there's definitely something going on in there still! My weekend's ms reprieve is definitely over :-(

Headaches are not something I've had yet Dulce. Hope you're ok.

Just had a cornish pasty and it was bloody amazing!

DulcetMoans · 28/05/2014 15:21

Pasty envy. I have raspberries...

zenry · 28/05/2014 15:52

I had apple doughnuts

FurryScoob · 28/05/2014 16:46

Every time I come on here your all talking about food, it makes me Hungary!

Just had a mini panick in mothercare, I have absolutely no idea what we need or how many bankers & clothes to buy. Lovely lady explained the difference between travel systems & push chairs but some of them cost more than my car!!!!!
We've been offered a nearly new cotbed for £100 after looking at them today were deffinatly having the second hand one.

FurryScoob · 28/05/2014 16:53

Please ignore the crap spelling in my last message my phones have a tantrum!

RPopz · 28/05/2014 17:53

Me and DH were having similar panic on Monday as the in laws were going on about ALL the stuff we'd have to buy! I wouldn't get many clothes - you'll get tonnes as presents.

Wondering if the reason I feel so bloody horrendous is because I'm existing exclusively on refined carbs at the mo!! I'm only taking folic acid and vit.d now, but wondering if a pg multivitamin would be better? What's everyone else doing?

Minion · 28/05/2014 17:59

I know im a bit late with this but every major cramp I get coincides with jelly appearances.
Nowt to worry about I think.
As for refined carbs... Yep that's been my diet since I found out too.
Im such a bloater! I want my bump to become a proper bump then I won't look so lardy.

RPopz · 28/05/2014 18:32

OMG! Outed again by DH selling a load of his man cave junk on fb!! Since when are people so bloody suspicious!? Lol....

wilhelminand · 28/05/2014 19:24

It's because you're married Rpopz, everyone is just waiting for it. Are you denying it or admitting it?

I take the pregnacare multivitamin and Lala was right, it makes your pee really yellow.

Re baby clothes, you will probably need some 'newborn' stuff as noone buys you that and the 0-3m stuff in most cases is far too big for the first couple of weeks (unless of course you have a bigger baby). I genuinely wouldn't buy anything for 0-3m or 3-6m as even people you barely know buy presents for first babies and you get so much stuff. You may need a few bits and bobs for 6-9 and then you start to run out - that's obviously only my experience but I'm glad I didn't spend much on clothes. And if you don't get as much as you think, you can always order online once baby arrives. If you're going to buy anything, probably bodysuits and sleepsuits are useful. Not professing to be an expert on any of this but it is easy to end up with loads of crap you don't need.

As for buggies, I would go to a shop and practise putting them up and down because that is the one thing that will really piss you off if you have a mechanism that you just can't work. And annoyingly they're all different.

Hope you feel better soon Dulcet.
