Just Shagging Grads, here is your shiny new Fred!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw plenty of births and we've got loads of new Grads to add to the mix. Bring on the TMI posts, the midnight moans, the birthwatches and the pom poms!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 17th thread.

How did it go popz? Feeling happy? Did they scan you to change the date? No wonder you had such strong lines, you were further ahead than you thought!

Forgot to mention, doctor asked me if I had any symptoms before postive test and why I tested if not. Was really hard to find a non-insane way of saying I POAS all the time! I didn't show her the photo I have of about seven difference positive tests either...

JuniDD · 13/05/2014 14:10

hehe dulcet.
I loved telling my GP, having been two weeks earlier to request the start of fertility testing. She always says "what can I do for you today" and I said "I've got some news" and her head shot up and she said "You're pregnant! I knew it! I knew it!" cos she'd said it would happen quickly.

Oh you people with appetites, I am so jealous! I am managing to eat but I don't really fancy anything. I've put on about half a stone since the start of pregnancy, 17 wks today. Really thought I'd be a massive trougher but not as yet!

Did they ask you a million questions rpopz? I got asked if my partner was a blood relative (!) and had to blow into to a device to prove I'm not a smoker (grrr leaky boilers blah blah blah).

RPopz · 13/05/2014 15:30

Juni - definitely lots of questions!! Including are we related Grin And had to do the blowy thing and got the same spiel about gas appliances - they must teach them that at midwife school haha!

Am feeling quite happy and official now Dulce! And she just went by dates to get 6+3 - but obviously me or Dr Goofle had been doing it wrong! Nothing's set in stone til the scan I guess.

No crazy food whims yet today, not even feeling sick! Confused

RPopz · 13/05/2014 15:33

Also Dulce the gp asked me that too! "What made you test?" Err...Hmm A friend asked me that too when I said I'd not even missed my period yet so it was super early... Apparently "I just wanted to pee on something!" Is not a normal response Grin

FurryScoob · 13/05/2014 16:44

Doh, just catching up & now I want a McDonald's!

I never got asked if DP was a blood relative or got to blow into anything at my booking in appointment & no mention of leaky boilers either!

juni have u felt the baby move yet? What does it feel like? I've had a strange feeling a couple of times like I'm being gently stroked just below my belly button. I'm 14+3 so I'm sure it's too soon but it's deffinatly not wind.

JuniDD · 13/05/2014 17:19

Just the thought of the golden arches = Envy. At home "studying" today and actually done loads of cleaning, think I've overdone it a bit...

I think I can feel movements, I occasionally get the sensation of bubbles going up my tummy, but sometimes I get the same sensation and let off a massive fart so....yeah.

My back has started to ache a lot and I highly recommend sleeping with a thin pillow betwixt your legs if this starts up for you. Seems to really help.

JuniDD · 13/05/2014 17:20

That's a green "puke" face, not actual envy. Today may be the day I actually barf for the first time...sigh.

Minion · 13/05/2014 17:25

Hey grads.
Well I too had my booking app today, started off a bit of drama, the woman on the phone not only managed to tell me the wrong time, but also the wrong bloody hospital campus.
They were so nice and managed to squeeze me in there though, which was helpful.
Midwife was a bit odd, you could imagine her in the good old days, very matron 'grin and bare it' like.
I didn't blow on a willy or asked if I was partial to a bit of inter family relations.
Have I missed out?
Any who, first scan booked.
June 6th.
Eeekkk

RPopz · 13/05/2014 18:32

That's weird Min, we were sat in the wrong room waiting for our app for half an hour... until the receptionist thought to mention it... Hmm My midwife was all young and trendy though... and says darling a lot! Not sure which is worse! Eeek for the scan! That is SOON! Grin

Fingers crossed for no barfing Juni! Am feeling a bit sicky now but not sure if its just my food/ sleep schedule being out of whack from work last night.

RPopz · 13/05/2014 18:33

Apologies for the really excessive amount of exclamation marks in the last post.... Wink

DulcetMoans · 13/05/2014 20:53

I am a bad wife... DH is away with work and I ate his mini eggs... But I am carrying his child so he can sod off!

Boo to chucking up juni, especially if you have managed to avoid it so far! It must be the thought of the Maccy Ds.

Check you two out with your booking in appointments! We got asked if we were related when we registered to get married. Thought it was just a judgement on the are we are from! haha.

How about tempurature changes - anyone had those? I was so cold last night I needed a hot water bottle! een cold a few days now.

Told my third person today - gym instructor. Joined a new class and don't know her very well but not sure why I decided to tell - just the opportunity was there and thought it might help. She gave me some lower impact options but not sure I am at the stage for needing that yet. She was very considerate though!

Minion · 13/05/2014 20:58

Yes I've been cold since I found out too. It's to do with low blood pressure apparently. It's nothing bad, happens naturally in the first trimester apparently.
Supposed to get warmer in the second.

Nessalina · 13/05/2014 21:09

Haha Dulcet, I'd have been mortified if my GP asked me that! Why did I POAS? Because I'm a crazy lady and it's what I do around 5 days before my period EVERY MONTH Grin I found myself very cold in early days, so maybe that's a normal thing?

Great news on booking appt Popz! And a big whoop for dates being bigger!! I'm officially disappointed that we didn't get asked if me and DH are related, lol Smile

Scoob - Im waiting to start to feel the baby, met up with my friend who's 16 weeks, and she said she feel it all the time, and felt it do a 'somersault' the other day Hmm Surely way too early for that?! This is going to sound weird, but I am so scared of feeling it! Shock I don't know why, I think I'm worried it's going to be like a scene from Alien...

I have been feeling so shit the last couple of days, had a horrible migraine staring about 4pm both days Confused Yesterday came home and slept til 9pm, then obviously couldn't sleep last night... Today slept until 8:30 then woken up by DH with pizza Smile I wuv him Grin

RPopz · 13/05/2014 21:52

Sat here in a panic mauling my own boobs... why don't they hurt today? WHY? Why don't I feel sick?! Why aren't I peeing nonstop anymore?? Aaaaargh... hooya me pleeeease!

Minion · 13/05/2014 22:10

popz
Ok, first.
Breathe.
Secondly, stop prodding, they're gonna become numb and bruised if you do, then you won't feel a thing.
And I've got 2 sure fire tricks to get them hurting again..

  1. sleep on your front all night, and in the morning go to the loo, gravity will take over when you stand and then you'll wish you hadn't slept on your front. Or
  2. get a lines dried towel (not tumbled, it needs to be nice and rough and scrunchy), then brush It briskly across ones nip! Fuck me it hurts.

In all seriousness though, mine came and went, still do. One day it was 'argh my boobs don't hurt' 'oh god, no more cramps' and the ever youthful 'why aren't I being sick like everyone else'

You know the rest.

Incidentally I've been vomit free for 2 nights. The nausea is still there but no return to the likes of the exorcist!

FurryScoob · 13/05/2014 22:23

Yay for the vom free days minion hopefully the vom fest is nearly over for you

Hooya popz make the most of the normal feeling days!

ness if its the baby I'm feeling its a nice feeling not alien like at all but the idea of feet & hands poking out later on really freaks me out!

Nessalina · 13/05/2014 23:21
Minion · 14/05/2014 03:42

O it's 3:30 and I'm probably going to smother the husband in his sleep soon. (Joke in case he actually does get smothered by my gigantic boobs and it looks like a plot to off him).
He has past form for sleep walking/talking but hasn't done it in ages.
So he makes up for it tonight by doing it twice!
First time, he gets up, toughes the wall and bed head then loudly exclaims the bed is closer to the opposite wall than it is to the bed head wall. He then goes back to bed.
Weirdo.
Then at 2:45 he shouts 'fuck' and gets out again. I ask him what's up, thinking he may have heard a burglar outside again (he's a one man neighbourhood watch scheme/ curtain twitcher extraordinaire).
Nope.
He says he smelt the matteress and had to get up but turns out he scratched himself on it (?) and could smell his blood.
(Cue me thinking omg I'm bleeding). (I'm not).

So that's my morning.

I'm exhausted so I can't be blamed for homocide right?

(Once again, do gooders, police etc, it's a joke. He's happily (!!!!!) snoring away next to me.

The git.

Nessalina · 14/05/2014 07:54

Fuck ladies I'm freaking out this morning Confused Proper heavy bleeding first thing! Like the first wipe of the day on your heaviest period day... WTF?! No pain or anything luckily and it seems to have dried up after first splurge, but going into hospital to get checked. ARG.

DulcetMoans · 14/05/2014 09:10

Oh God nessa! You must be freaking out! I have read lots of times that bleeding in pregnancy is normal but that sounds really horrible. Hope you get some answers at the hospital and fx it's just one of those (terrifying) things that happens!

That sounds like completely nonsensical sleep activities min. I must admit though, I am that one in our relationship. Doesn't happen often but I can have little conversations with DH and not remember a thing!

So I came into work early today to try and get ahead of myself and then spent the first 40 minutes looked in a little room crying. I am not even sure why - I just felt the need and it wasn't going away until I did it! I am not one of lifes criers usually. Is this normal?!

RPopz · 14/05/2014 09:16

Eek Nessa! Fx everything is just fine. Thanks

Dulce what were you crying about!?

Minion · 14/05/2014 10:13

Thinking of you nessa, let us know how you are x xxx

Nessalina · 14/05/2014 10:16

Phew!! Just had baby checked with a Doppler and it's ok! Strong heartbeat and having a good squirm! Grin Apparently it's quite normal at this point for oestrogen surges to cause cervical bleeds. Aaaaand relax Smile

RPopz · 14/05/2014 10:20

Awesome news Ness!! I've read loads that says bleeding can be normal but I bet its terrifyimg all the same! At least you got a sneaky peek at baby Grin x

DulcetMoans · 14/05/2014 10:20

Phew nessa, what a panic! Great you got to hear the heartbeat though. Amazing!

I don't really know popz - pathetic, right? I have some minor work stress but it's not really worth crying about. And someone said something to me yesterday that I didn't really like. It all just came into my brain at once and then I couldn't not cry. Luckily where I was in early there wasn't really anyone around. But I do still have the face of someone that has been crying so when people come and talk to me they immediately regret it!
