Just Shagging Grads, here is your shiny new Fred!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw plenty of births and we've got loads of new Grads to add to the mix. Bring on the TMI posts, the midnight moans, the birthwatches and the pom poms!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 17th thread.

Crumpets - nice! It's been boiled eggs here for two days!

RPopz · 11/05/2014 20:41

Just scarfed down all 6... Grin At least eggs have some kind of nutritional value Wink

JuniDD · 11/05/2014 21:13

Crumpets!
My molar pregnancy I had an early scan because I felt so ill I wanted to know it was worth it. Not trying to scare anybody at all but I was glad I went early to save 3 weeks of suffering.

This pg I had an early scan at 9 weeks. I guess with my history scans are a bit of a double edged sword but if the NHS hadn't done one we would have paid.

Much meltdown here today, so we've agreed to try to keep moving at the weekends - I laze around a lot and I think that makes me feel worse. My friend texted and said to remember we are growing whole humans and it is HARD WORK! xx

Minion · 11/05/2014 21:34

Thought I'd turned a corner.
Alas, I got to 'enjoy' my dinner twice.
Again.
This is wretched. I've also been packing up the apartment today, am cream crackered.

And now I want cream crackers.

Nessalina · 11/05/2014 21:46

I have mixed feelings about early scans... I'd say if it's on offer, go for it, but I wouldn't pay for one.
We had an early scan last time at about 7 and a half weeks, and everything looked fine, so we relaxed and started telling a few people. Turned out the issues just weren't visible til the 12 week-er, and it was a serious shock to the system coz we thought things were ok.
This time round I've had the 'c'est la vie' mentality that if something's going to go wrong there's not a lot we can do about it, so seeing baby earlier made no difference either way.

But...

Having said that, if you're seriously stressed out, losing sleep, worrying that it's all in your head, and you have £80 or so spare... Fuck it, get a scan. Wink

Nessalina · 11/05/2014 21:47

Arg, this MS has really got you bad Min! That sucks Sad

DulcetMoans · 11/05/2014 21:59

All 6 pops? I'm impressed!!

I can see nessa point, and that was a shitty situation. Could that sort of thing happen between 12 and 20 week scan too? The worry doesn't stop really!!

Oh min, you are being made to suffer for it!

RPopz · 11/05/2014 22:24

Argh god its a bloody minefield isn't it! Confused Perhaps I'll leave it. Could see what the midwife says on Tues I guess.

I'm sure it's no fun at all Min but ms is supposed to be a good sign Hmm Grin

Minion · 12/05/2014 05:55

It's not so much the nausea at mine. It strikes about 7:30 every night. It feels like my tummy is just too full of food (and it really isn't, I wish it was ) , then I get a bit restles,, fidgety and sigh a lot.
There's no other thing for it. It's got to go!

I just hope I'm not doing MINIon any damage by it.

Oh that's of course they are still in there. I can't believe even with MS I'm still not convinced haha.
Booking appointment tomorrow so hopefully she will tell me to (wo)man up.

DulcetMoans · 12/05/2014 13:48

I want CHIPPPPPSSSS! And general bland tasting stodginess!

Is booking in appointment today min or tomorrow? Your post was so early I wasn't sure which you meant!

Doctors for me tonight. Apparently thats the way we do things here - make a docs appointment, then get refered. Trying not to feel like im wasting their time. Wonder if she will make me wee on a stick! You know how much I enjoy that!

RPopz · 12/05/2014 13:53

Ha Dulce! Dr didn't make me POAS and I was a bit surprised like... what if I'd just made the whole thing up!!

All I want today is cheeseburger.... convenient... Bleurgh.

DulcetMoans · 12/05/2014 14:37

Are you likely to get a cheeseburger? I'm worried for you! haha.

Is it wrong to want a bit of morning sickness? I get a bit queasy but fades when I eat. I know once I have it I won't want it but feel left out at the moment!

RPopz · 12/05/2014 15:06

I haven't actually been sick yet. Just feeling it, especially since yesterday afternoon. Before that hadn't really felt it since the day before my bfp!

Had a Mcdonalds for lunch... felt better for the 0.0037 seconds I was eating it Grin

DulcetMoans · 12/05/2014 17:04

Maccy Ds lunch! Treat yourself! It's grilled fish and spinach here. Boring!!

At docs now. Little nervous, is that weird? Think it's first time I will have said it out loud to someone other than DH!

RPopz · 12/05/2014 18:31

How'd it go? x

DulcetMoans · 12/05/2014 18:41

All good thanks popz. Come out with a list of things I can't eat and some form to get free prescriptions - have to send of for a card or something?

She said it was a bit early to refer but she did it anyway. Went through some questions like have I been involved in domestic abuse! I thought, while its good to ask, would I say yes if I was?!

Still next step done...

RPopz · 12/05/2014 19:15

Ooh I didn't get any of that! Kinda wondering what the point of me seeing the midwife tomorrow is... its way too early to be the booking app. Confused

Glad it went well anyway! Salad for tea to counteract the McDs Grin

DulcetMoans · 12/05/2014 19:41

Well the list of foods was just something she wrote while I was in there. And the form was accompanied by a frank discussion about miscarriages. Sad

Well done on salad! I had cheesy mash with my fish - I know its not really a good match but I do need more dairy...!

RPopz · 12/05/2014 21:51

Oooh I don't want to have the mc talk Sad

Nessalina · 12/05/2014 23:19

Dulcet - it is totally reasonable to want morning sickness before you've actually had it. Give it two weeks and you'll be wondering what the hell you were thinking Grin Glad the booking appt went ok!

Lol Popz that is SO what I'm doing right now with food:
"I feel sick. Or hungry? No, sick. Ooh McDonalds... Maybe I am hungry? Yes! Definitely. A Big Mac is totally what I need in my life... (But it's not very healthy... SHUT UP brain, I'm pregnant I deserve it!) OK Big Mac here I come! omnomomnomnom. Aaah... Best thing ever Smile Hmmm. Oof. Feel a bit sick. Actually, feel a lot sick. Why did I eat that f*cking burger?!?! Confused "

DulcetMoans · 13/05/2014 08:55

haha. That's how I feel about McDonalds every time nessa! Great idea until after you've had it and then it was a stupid idea and feel sick and filthy!

Did anyone lose weight in these early weeks? My appetite is coming back slowly but I have lost 3lb in the week and a bit since i've known. Not complaining of course!

RPopz · 13/05/2014 09:04

My appetite came back after the first week, think it was just excited/ nervousness tbh. I'm pretty sure I've put weight on (though hubby says not) ... definitely looking thicker around the middle! I've read its fairly common to lose weight in the first trimester though due to ms/ nausea. Its okay as long as you catch up in the second and third Wink

RPopz · 13/05/2014 09:05

I luuuuurve Macdonalds Grin And Ness I totally thought that yesterday "I DESERVE a burger, I'm pregnant!"

Wonder what my food whim will be today.... Hmm Grin

DulcetMoans · 13/05/2014 10:08

I'm enjoying learning about your food desires popz! No real theme yet between crumpets and burgers. Can it be a craving yet?!

RPopz · 13/05/2014 11:27

Well apparently that was my booking app! And apparently I'm 6+3!
